I love this series so bad, this is definitely the best skyrim playthrough I've ever seen, you actually seem interested unlike many others who just play the quests and don't explore or anything else, like if they're trying to rush and finish the game. But you my man, you are incredibly fun to watch, I can't wait to see how this series unfolds. Keep going man, you're amazing!!!
I dont blame most let's players for trying to just get through the games, skyrim and fallout, but it's not engaging to me like this is, because it's not a reflection of how I experience these games.
I feel so bad but moments before you triggered the spike-wall trap I was like 'Oh yes he's not paying attention to his surroundings' and got really excited. Hahaha.
When I first played Skyrim I could never figure out the door puzzle and just quit playing. It wasn’t until years later that I actually used my brain and tried again.
Earlier I was mentally like ‘awww, he’s already joining the stealth archer ranks’ - but then you went in to sword a bunch of draugr in the face - and I realised that I’ve never actually seen a fight against them without a stealth multiplier. 😁Nice.
It's amazing to watch somebody discovering new things for the first time in this game, I can relate to this. I have saved the playlist and watch an episode every evening.
When you have an arrow nocked (I think that's the term) you move much slower than normal. There's a perk you get later than can mitigate that. It also drains your stamina the longer you hold it. There's a sort of 'rhythm' to archery in this game. Pulling back quickly and releasing quickly will give you a weak inaccurate snap shot that doesn't go far, but once you draw back, and wait a beat, then you're pretty much at full strength. You also have to account for some drop-off on longer shots, but that's a matter of practice. And finally, the linen wraps might be used (along with firewood) to make your own torches. But I've been playing modded Skyrim so long I can't remember if that's in the vanilla game.

@@lilindigestion lol it's tougher than it sounds. Every other route can be pretty frustrating at first so most people naturally (me included) fall into Sneak Archery on their first run. Try fighting your next main story boss without Archery ... I dare you 😉. Speaking of which, to avoid a bug that is surprisingly still there after all these years, keep focusing the main storyline for a bit longer. Until you beat said aforementioned boss. You can go ham on the open world after that. I'd elaborate but spoilers and stuff... 😅

I'm sure you've already figured this out by now, but one of my favorite parts of Spoiler Warning's Skyrim season is when Shamus points out that the ancient Nord weapons are just that: old, rusty weapons from a time when smithing was less advanced. We're all used to the fantasy trope of "ancient= awesome," but ancient Nord weapons are actually worthless garbage, just like ancient swords would be to us today if we didn't have archaeologists and museums.
in norse myth draugr are dead who havent been properly buried, they are highly magical and powerfull the wight of the barrow being the most. the proper way to dispose of one is to wrestle it back into its barrow barehanded and re-kill them after piercing their feet with a nail. you can also prevent one by when the person dies if they're cursed in one form or another by piercing their feet with an iron rod or carrying the body through the door of the tomb seven times. think the last reason is partially why they were so partial to having funeral pyrers as a pile of ash is less likely to kill you than a corpse.
There are two games I wish to forget, so that I can experience them for the first time again: Skyrim and Mass Effect trilogy (ME 1,2,3 count as one giant game ..doesnt it? ;)
It's very boring that they places linen wraps everywhere, and that it seems like a item that you would use, only for it to be a completely useless item :(
Just a tip, (not sure if you look at old episodes but I’ll say it) if you want to be sneaky, don’t wear heavy armor! It makes it easier for you to be detected! Another tip is armor gives you no resistance to magic, you have to get enchantments or get certain perks in the alteration skill tree! If you don’t, there are some places that absolutely destroy you without it!
Amazing how people always get caught by that swinging door. Yup happened to me too. If work it right can get Dragha to follow you and walk on pressure plate to kill them!! Save after every fight and before opening a door to a new area Outdoors save every five mins.
For food, I try to make as much cooked food as I can to carry. Then I will eat fruits and veggies first to heal, then the cooked stuff. I also load up on cheese. ;) But yeah, potions are great when you're able to stockpile.
you need to level up when you can, it increases your carrying capacity and health. Also, its unavoidable that Arvel gets killed, either you do it or the draugr do...he's a bad guy anyway.......

its just my opinion, but I found smithing to be very useful, because the better a smith you are, the better you can make your armour and improve both armour and your weapons......let's face it, who doesnt want a bow that kills your opponent with one shot(from behind!!) while you stay safely out of his range??
One thing I don’t understand is how keeps asking and saying he doesn’t know the controls but literally has been on control settings to learn them 🤦🏽♂️

Often times, the reactions make it seem like cowardice due to inexperience! I mention it because people miss out on so much by not wanting to engage in a close combat melee and so they miss out on so much! 🤷 Such as learning that they had the option to not fight, but to talk, and then they killed the wrong person! I've noticed that you're better than most at not walking with your weapin ready all the time! That you probably know that it makes you look like the hostile one! 😁
