I think there is symbolism with where Isaac, Sam, and Jamie kept their pieces. Isaac: under his captain band, because he believes he can be a good captain. Sam: behind the Nigerian team picture, because he believes he’ll make it on that team some day. And Jamie: in the book Ted game him to better himself, because he believes he can be better.
On camera, it appears 2 had it w/in their uni. -- Isaac & Colin. So, each of the them are literally carrying it on the pitch w/ them @ all times. Powerful.
@@rvog6584 and those are the two whose dreams involve the Greyhounds’ pitch-Isaac to be a good captain, and Colin to just have a day where his fella can come onto the pitch with the other SOs. Damn. For something that I described in episode 1 as “‘Major League’ only soccer”, this is some incredibly deep stuff….
One of the biggest factors that is not often spoken about when building a sports team is the locker room culture. It is probably the biggest factor in building players into a team. This show really displayed how important it is.
100%. People also tend to severely underestimate the importance of locker-room leaders, if they aren’t also important on the pitch. Case in point: Eintracht Frankfurt. I’m 100% convinced that Eintracht would not have won Europa League in 2022 without Goncalo Paciencia and Timothy Chandler. Neither made much of an impact on the pitch, one or two late winners from Paciencia aside, but they were the heart of the team in the locker room. Similarly, I’m convinced that Timmy Chandler is also vital to the team’s current great form, despite having only played 18 minutes all season, and only when the score was already 7-2. A healthy locker room is a successful locker room.
For me it's the looks on the coaches faces. The wonder and awe in Nate The dawning realization in Roy The stunned look on Beard And the utter contentment in Ted Even Trent Crimm's cynicism gave way
If you look at the scene with Trent his shirt is blue and the writing is yellow. Also with the way his coat is split you can see the L and I in believe…it’s actually a brilliant shot.
It gets even better when you realize its the book that Ted gave as a gift when he chose books to match the players in season 1 Episode 3. Jamie kept it, which surprised me since he threw it away in that scene. I wonder if he later dug through the trash to get it back or if he bought a new copy.
This absolutely wrecked me emotionally. Waterworks started in the finale right about here. As a former athlete, there is so much about this that hit all the right notes. Belief, sacrifice, forgiveness, pain, love, family, brotherhood, coaches, players, fathers, sons, friends…all of it. All right here. The fact they all kept a piece of Ted with them at all times, just to bring it all back together in the end…that was it…and when the squad breaks to reveal the reassembled BELIEVE poster - what a moment. Absolutely brilliant show. One of the best ever.
You can tell in this scene after Ted tells the team to 'bring it in' that Nate is still holding some regret even after his apology. The redemption and how it played out this season with pitch perfect. He's flawed, as we all are, but when he joins the group you can tell he's been accepted back into the group. If this is the finale for sure it was very well written and wrapped up pretty well.
One other thing I noticed; as hated by the players as Trent Crimm was (Roy especially), them allowing him in the 'bring it in' made me a little misty, NGL.
He wasn't just saying goodbye to the characters; he was saying goodbye to the cast. I think this scene probably was the realisation to everyone that this is the end.
"We're way past big speech time. I want to thank you for the last few months; it has been very special for me. Anybody have anything they want to say? [Team members take turns giving input, then stand and put their hands together.] "I love you guys." [Players say, "Team!"]-- Closing locker room scene from Hoosiers. The homages to other films and TV series are one of my favorite things about this series.
Thank you for uploading this! My favourite part of the finale and right up there as one of the all-time memorable moments from the show! This scene broke me. When Nate and Ted look at each other from opposite sides of the room and he puts his hand in at the end 😭 I liked the nice touch of Jamie keeping the book that Ted gave him. This show is superb.
Being a Winnipeg Jets fan...this is how I feel like I want to talk to the team...and our fans. I love my city ...and damn it ..I love my hockey team. So much. So damn much.
They all took a little piece of Ted and kept it, made it part of themselves. Then they put it back out into the world and made something bigger.
Beautifully put ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Damn man, that made me tear up reading that
Hadn't thought of that. Great points

The three players who have arguably grown the most under Ted and grew into fine individuals and leaders.

The fact that was the book he game Jamie and he read it so many times what beautiful growth
Nothing demonstrates the complete growth all those people had than Jamie Tartt using his piece of the Believe sign as a bookmark….
In the book that Ted gave him that he initially threw away.
And, that cover is worn. He’s read it many many times!
WTF... I never noticed this!!!
For me it's the looks on the coaches faces.
The wonder and awe in Nate
The dawning realization in Roy
The stunned look on Beard
And the utter contentment in Ted
Even Trent Crimm's cynicism gave way
Trent was far from a cynic by this point. He was fully bought in
If you look at the scene with Trent his shirt is blue and the writing is yellow. Also with the way his coat is split you can see the L and I in believe…it’s actually a brilliant shot.
Trent hasn’t been cynical since their debut interview in the Indian restaurant
Has to be one of my favorite scenes from the series.
I think, for Nate, it was guilt, redemption and acceptance.
It’s Jamie’s that gets me. That is a well-read book.
😢😢😭

Small addition to this perfect comment section - Beard’s face when he notices what’s happening (with all that he owes to Ted)

This scene makes me cry every time. Nothing can triumph this scene.
The moment when Ted told Nate that he still sees that sign was absolute perfection.

Yeeaah about that... lol

Love the way the music shifts after the sentimental moment when they start putting the sign back together
3:01 ted knew what he was doing all along ❤
He gave one heart, gave one courage, gave one a brain, and showed the world what was behind the curtain of a beautiful human being. 👏 👏 👏
Nate's unspoken conversation with Ted when team was working on the sign is acting and writing of highest quality❤
In a series filled with magic, this scene is absolutely beautiful from a team perspective. True love. BELIEVE
Onion ninjas everywhere 🥲

Outstanding scene, one of favs from the entire season, one of the best shows I have ever watched, gets me every time ❤
This makes me cry like a baby every single time

I love my city ...and damn it ..I love my hockey team.
So much.
So damn much.
I knew early on this was a special show, I don't get too emotional with TV shows but man oh man, there were some waterworks here!
When television writing makes one well up.. man, that’s special.
One great little touch is that Jamie’s locker is completely full of different kinds of Axe body spray.
Lynx Teds favourite of the jungle cats 😊
3:55 SLAYS me
this show... so fantastic I'm so sad its over.
i love how i was just thinking about that scene today, and it shows up on my recommended.
Kintsugi. The art of putting broken pieces back together into something stronger.
This isn’t just a rally speech for the team, this is a farewell address for the entire series.
Who put this bowl of onions next to me?!
One of the best
Ted lasso final game
This is number 4, what were the other 3?
1. Conditioning
2. Versatility
3. Awareness
I hope you haven't seen the series otherwise that was clear
best show ever
What’s the song in the background??
“Believe It” by Tom Howe
What's the name of the music playing in the background?
NVM just got the answer - "Believe It" from Tom Howe.
@@chingmingphotosableomg thank you! I was wondering the same thing but you saved me a search
Number 4.
In real life, players from the club will get sold to different club next season and the club would have a hard time return to its former glory.
Not if the coaching department and owners are the same though.
What are they saying at 4:20? Sounds like Omaha lol
RICHMOND!!
@@ferramos4533I meant after they all shout Richmond. So I should have put at like 4:22 or 4:23 lol
