I wonder how many years of toil and dedication they must've put in to perform something as marvelous as this (I mean, just look at their hand and eye coordination... Way to go 👏).
No such thing as a "former" martial artist. If you ever put a significant amount of time into a discipline, then that's what you are for life. You may be older and slower, but if you were ever to be in dire situation, I guarantee you your training and muscle memory would kick into overdrive.
"Beast mode" doesn't give these guys justice. They're simply astronomical! I hope their dedication pays off and they become stunt actors or whatever the hell they want.
also not as practical as in real situation. while giving a nice stunt on cinematical action, these spins are just not necessary on a real life threatening situation. you might want to stab right away on your enemy's belly or just run away if you are outnumbered edit : especially that toya part, you wont actually hands off of your weapon that way
@@pucichuu6942 I don’t want to be rude but I wouldn’t say this is showing martial arts as it really is... as you said in a real situation this wouldn’t help. For real though. On that note, shoutouts to the kids at the upper right corner when the camera was at the little brother and the kids at the middle when the big brother was doing the staff. Those were having a blast with the display and were not afraid to show it.
As a former long time student of Taekwondo (From ages 6 to 17), I can appreciate this display on many, many levels. The amount of training, discipline, and dedication you both showcased here is nothing short of awe inspiring. To a degree, I wished more younger people would take up some form of martial arts; anything from Hapkido to Tai Chi. They place value on more than just a form of self defense; they offer focus, self-discipline, introspection, dedication, preparation, a sense of self-confidence and esteem. Bravo to both of you young men. Please, keep up your training. If your Sifu, can no longer teach, or has nothing left to offer, there is no shame in picking up another form.

@@cheeseroll2398yeah maybe something is better than nothing, but can also build false confidence because most of the stuff shown in the video is useless in self defence. Not saying it's not worth doing. But for self defence there's much better things to learn.
@@zacgibb172 about false confidence, I'm sure those guys know their limits, they wouldn't try fighting a guy standing 20ft away with a gun. I only dislike the fact that you think it's not effective for self defense. yes, it may not be effective in many situations but it is effective in many other situations. I believe the agility and anticipation one acquires from having practiced it for long, plays a great part in a fight. All I want to say is marital arts is not useless, the skills obtained from it is quite useful in situations.
@@cheeseroll2398 not once did I say martial arts is useless. But what they were demonstrating is not effective self defence, is my only point. And if you disagree, get a clue.
I'd rather fight someone in a martial arts tournament than do this and embarrass myself. Those moves they did, those thrown weapons, requires total confidence and nerves of steel.
Most people aren't afraid of losing. Their fear is of how other people will think of them if they lose. Once you discover that what other people think doesn't matter, your whole life will be better.
I would be willing to bet everything I own that these two young men are extremely polite, straight A students, volunteer in their community, are super nice to everyone, tutors to fellow students, teachers assistants, immensely respectful to their parents all while working a part time job for extra money that they are saving for college. Martial arts as kids teaches humility, discipline and integrity. Well done boys. I bet your parents are smiling from ear to ear.
Okay, but that fact that the younger boy caught the comas perfectly is amazing. I know people who have worked with comas for years and still don’t always catch them perfectly or drop them occasionally. And the way the older one was so graceful with the bow and nunchucks was great.
This is the best video I’ve seen on TH-cam during an election year ❤ that performance was top notch and stoked to see both of you with weapon skills. Never forget that moment. LEGENDS 🙌

@@daelaenor ye everything is dull but the speedy they are using if u hit urself it will still hurt alot especially the nunchucks to the grain take it from experience
I did mixed martial arts for a while, and I can confirm that performance weapons are made out of heavier material, and can have a high probability of bashing your face in. To practice however, it’s mostly with lighter material that might sting a little at most, or else everyone would be incapacitated while beginning to learn them. I highly doubt that the school, due to strict policies, would allow anything that could actually cause harm to students in the building. It’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.
So glad this randomly showed up in my feed, today. What impressive young men! This is what hard work, dedication, and discipline look like. And kudos to the parents for their, obvious, support.

I love how the little kid went for sharp weapons and the older one went for blunt ones. It makes it so badass
Thank you, nice observation!
In a defense situation sharp weapons should theoretically balance the scales of size and weight advantages.
Just when I thought it couldn't get any cooler the older one comes in with the staff, absolutely amazing
Great way to show everyone in school not to mess with you or your terrifying little brother! 👍😎👍
So nice I have to watch it twice
Somebody remind me to NOT to get in a fight with that kid. (Edit: Thank you so much for the likes)
*Don’t get in a fight with that kid.*
@@mazzarrd7468 Thank you for the reminder.

These boys clearly have a gift for performance and showmanship, not just martial arts. They certainly have a future in stunt work for the film industry.
Same thing I was thinking. They are insanely talented!!
Stuntwork? More like the stars in the movie.
John Wick 5!
I hope no one is going to be disappointed if they succeed in theoretical physics.
These guys are getting A's for the rest of school year's. Teachers be like " your good 👍 "
*you're
Looks like some teachers gave you free A's as well 😅 c;
I wonder how many years of toil and dedication they must've put in to perform something as marvelous as this (I mean, just look at their hand and eye coordination... Way to go 👏).
I mean who are these kids parents?? Chung Li and master splinter??!!! This was truly an amazing performance 🤙🥷
Thank you!
Chuck Norris
Maybe Chun-Li and Shredder but I don't think Master Splinter and Chun-Li could have kids together.
You put an awful image in my head man...
@@jasonrobbins4001 they could try for days though...their stamina is surely amazing 😂
Damn....these boys are no joke. They have some serious kick ass skills
Ass kicking? Them were killin skills
Nope. These are excellent sport karate demos! But they are not combat / MMA applicable at all. That’s the dangerous truth of sport karate.
As a formal martial artist, I can say I'm glad people still appreciate the sport. You guys did great, I'm glad I got this recommended.
Thank you for watching!
It's been tainted by MMA.
I too grew up with Taekwondo, Hapkido (Being able to use a sword), some Muay Thai and boxing.
Be blessed
Being a martial artist , I don't think it's a sport it's more of an art!!😁
No such thing as a "former" martial artist. If you ever put a significant amount of time into a discipline, then that's what you are for life.
You may be older and slower, but if you were ever to be in dire situation, I guarantee you your training and muscle memory would kick into overdrive.
I love the dedication these young brothers have for honing their skills and the fact they seem to be having an absolute blast doing it. Well done! 👏👏👏
Thank you!
Shoud have been crowd reactions over the music
Agreed
they did before ... but it had the welcome to the party deadpool music in original audio ... which maybe caused copyright
"Beast mode" doesn't give these guys justice. They're simply astronomical! I hope their dedication pays off and they become stunt actors or whatever the hell they want.
They'll be attaining immortality at 27.
Transformers are from space
Can enter beast mode
Ipso facto, beast mode is astronomical
😃
also not as practical as in real situation. while giving a nice stunt on cinematical action, these spins are just not necessary on a real life threatening situation. you might want to stab right away on your enemy's belly or just run away if you are outnumbered
edit : especially that toya part, you wont actually hands off of your weapon that way
@@pucichuu6942 I don’t want to be rude but I wouldn’t say this is showing martial arts as it really is... as you said in a real situation this wouldn’t help. I don’t know how this many people don’t see it...
Not saying this wouldn’t be great for an action movie but I would connect this to martial arts...
2:15 the guy in the red shirt in the middle is really impressed by their performance. Dude almost had a heart attack 🥵
*almost had MULTIPLE heart attacks 😂
I was cheesing the whole time watching these 2 but that guy made it 1000x better
That one group of people in the front row not clapping or cracking a smile the whole time… I mean, these kids were awesome!
they were in shock at the skills.
Not sure if I'd call any of that self defence
@@zacgibb172 why? I'd say the staff one was pretty good. Would you get near to that guy when he's spinning the staff with that speed and suddenly does staff stabs in the middle?
Id rather throw a boxing match and get my shit rocked than try this in front of my high school and fail miserably
Confidence comes with experience of failure.. once you get over that fear of losing .. you never lose again
No martial artist throws their weapons. NONE.
Its stupidity and gymnastics.
Most people aren't afraid of losing. Their fear is of how other people will think of them if they lose. Once you discover that what other people think doesn't matter, your whole life will be better.
@@purplesaxark this is they new age gymnastics musical kata garbage

Kama, technically. The blade shape is different, though they are militarized versions of sickles.

That bo staff routine was literally insane. So precise and the amount of focus is just crazy.

And all the boy are like "dang bro how are we supposed to compete with that!?"
And im just like "teach me"
and i’m just sitting here wishing i was still able to practice tae kwon do 😔
You're right the crowd was going crazy the cheerleader on the right around a minute thirty or so had to cool herself off🙃
All the Emo’s on the back row. Meh 😒 🤣
Nah the boys were like.. "oh shit! That's cool!", "that's my friend!", "straight out of shadow fight!"
Most dudes (not cheering) in the audience are like “crap these two are going to get all the girls now”
lmao ikr, all the girls in the audience were like “😳...😮...😍!”
I was looking for this comment
Well done young men, and much respect to the school for "allowing" these dedicated students to share this in "this day and age". Bravo to all!!
The amount of time and dedication to get to this level is nothing short of insanity. Great performance. Hope the journey was as enjoyable.
Yes sir, that would be a great bet. you are correct.
Could you imagine being the performers that go up next? I'd be like 'nah I'm suddenly not feeling too well'
Okay, but that fact that the younger boy caught the comas perfectly is amazing. I know people who have worked with comas for years and still don’t always catch them perfectly or drop them occasionally. And the way the older one was so graceful with the bow and nunchucks was great.
Comas I thought I seen Kamas, but I guess you seen his writing skills.
I guess you haven’t seen his grammar skills seeing as “comas” is spelt with two M’s not one. Besides I didn’t even see I wrote it with a C and not a K
@@JoseVazquez-xg4xw Yep, we always called them Kama's, not really sure how effective a coma would be 🤣
He put that weapon between his legs multiple times. He made it lol
Bow? I must’ve blinked and missed seeing him use a bow, or is bow another term for a staff? 🤔
I love the energy from that one kid in the back right, he's so hyped lol.
This scene was ripped straight out of the 80s. These are the real karate kids.
Thank you!
When they made the face I was like 3 Ninjas whaaaaa
i wouldnt be surprised if one was Daniel LaRusso and the other was John Lawrence
That routine was insane, the amount of control and precision that these techniques need is not an easy feat
I completely agree. As an athlete, this is not something easily mastered.
Crowd was lame
Maybe this will show up on everyone's recommended one day
It did today ✌🏼
Looks like you called it lol

That day is now. Haha
This is the best video I’ve seen on TH-cam during an election year ❤ that performance was top notch and stoked to see both of you with weapon skills. Never forget that moment. LEGENDS 🙌
I wanted to hear the beast mode as well. Music kind of killed it for me.
I don’t know why TH-cam recommended this to me now, but I’m glad they did 😁
Thanks for watching!
The fact that they must literally have a 100% success rate or else they would have broken every bone in their body💀
...none of that was risky though?
This is just so wrong lol, you think they broke alot of bones practicing this, and the blades are always dull. On that note though it's impressive as fuck probably put in thousands of hours
@big They're probably using light material and the blades are most definitely dull. Impressive nonetheless, but no, maybe bruises but no broken bones.
By far still the most impressive routine I've ever seen! Would love to learn some more weapons skills like this! You guys inspire me big time!
So glad this randomly showed up in my feed, today. What impressive young men! This is what hard work, dedication, and discipline look like. And kudos to the parents for their, obvious, support.
"Up next, Alberto playing hot cross buns."

@@JoyceGreens In fact, there was actually another dude in the crowd in a red sweatshirt too, when they turned the camera to show the opposite side of the audience, if you look closely at the top in the right side, he just couldn't stop hitting the air and his friends as he tried to reproduce what he was watching!
So there's a dude in a red sweatshirt on each side, while the camera changes. Just hilarious.
