A 16 year old and a 14 year old at the time of upload. Both better than I am in any style even right now and I've been training for 18 years, longer than they've both been alive (at that time). Shows the dedication they've put in to their training. Absolutely amazing work. The skill showed pretty much just proves how much they love martial arts. You do not get that good and not enjoy it.

Of all the martial arts I've ever seen in my life live or in the movies this was the best I've ever seen with weapons. Bruce Lee was the best I've ever seen with speed.
There's always those few kids who are just 'anti' they can't even allow themselves to be impressed. Check out 3 girls in front row, right of center. Hands stuffed in the pockets of their hoodies the entire time. Don't even clap at the end. Must suck to be that dead inside 🙄

Can't be sure of that but pointing and laughing is generally characteristic of making fun of someone. This single video could be a great study in psychology and sociology. These boys were absolutely amazing and so many of the students just couldn't find the decency to acknowledge that. As King_Quay commented, this was a professional level act. I didn't see a single mistake, and at the speed they were moving, and with the precision required to do what they were doing, it would have been very easy for something to go wrong. It takes tremendous courage for a kid to do something in front of the entire school. It's one thing to be able to do these things in a studio or in your basement, but it's a whole different thing being able to do this in front of a crowd and not miss a single execution. Awesome guys!

This really made me miss being in martial arts. These two kids are amazing. Their demo was out of this world insane. I was Also a staff fighter back in the day and that older brother did an Amazing job of showing why the staff is mightier than a sword.
I absolutely LOVE how hyped the audience is and hope this drives them to pursue a skill that requires hours of focus, practice and discipline, whether that’s a sport, martial art, music, sewing, art, etc. I hope they have good parents and teachers and friends in their life who understand that if they try one thing out and it doesn’t work, to try a different one.

These boys clearly have a gift for performance and showmanship, not just martial arts. They certainly have a future in stunt work for the film industry.
Check Lewis Tan and Caitlin Dechele. Caitlin Dechele is XMA world champion and Gal Gadot's stunt for wonder woman. She taught Lewis Tan, he plays upcoming Mortal Kombat.
Btw the reason you never knew is because in movie's martial arts scenes, the XMA parts are combined with the real martial arts (like Muay Thai, Boxing, etc). Check Mike Tyson vs Donnie Yen in Ip Man. In normal situation boxers, including Mike Tyson don't fight like that. It's cos in the movie the fighting scenes are already added with XMA.
I was watching and thought "is this really martial arts?" put a girl in a cheerleading uniform out there doing the exact same thing and the title of the video would be a very different thing. Its a very impressive gymnasic/juggling routine, but is it martial arts?
@@screen2529 well looking at it, it seems more of a dance routine than fighting. I'm not saying it's shit, they obviously train very hard, but it's not really martial arts.
No such thing as a "former" martial artist. If you ever put a significant amount of time into a discipline, then that's what you are for life. You may be older and slower, but if you were ever to be in dire situation, I guarantee you your training and muscle memory would kick into overdrive.
To reach that level of skill is a great accomplishment. To perform that extremely difficult routine in front of their schoolmates without any mistakes is a testament to the amount of training they did and to their confidence. And I have to mention the kid in the red shirt coming onto the screen from the right at 3:06. He and his mates are definitely blown away.
This performance was a direct message to the Bullies, the wannabe Bullies, the Undercover Bullies and those who are contemplating a career in Bullieology !
For real though. On that note, shoutouts to the kids at the upper right corner when the camera was at the little brother and the kids at the middle when the big brother was doing the staff. Those were having a blast with the display and were not afraid to show it.

The one thing came to mind when watching this. I'm 53 now and when I was 17 I was the only one of several in high school that was into the Martial Arts. I'm 53 today, and I still am into this amazing sport. I think of the youth today and see how probably 99% of those in that gym watching this demonstration, are too lazy and tied into their make believe social media worlds to attempt what these young people display here. You two are at the top of what leaders are truly made of. Well done indeed!!!

20 plus years of martial arts training here. An i have to say that these two did a great demonstration. That was definitely routines they used to earn a stripe. Both were spot on with there moves an i can tell they are very disciplined in their style.

And they will forever be remembered as bad asses in all of high school history. I definitely 100% don't remember anyone being this cool and bad ass when I was in high school. Look at that confidence and self mastery 👏👏👏
My 12 yo niece is thinking of starting a martial art. I'm going to show her this video and tell her she can accomplish anything with discipline, patience, and practice. Incredible work, guys. 👍

Btw the reason you never knew is because in movie's martial arts scenes, the XMA parts are combined with the real martial arts (like Muay Thai, Boxing, etc). Check Mike Tyson vs Donnie Yen in Ip Man. In normal situation boxers, including Mike Tyson don't fight like that. It's cos in the movie the fighting scenes are already added with XMA.

I was watching and thought "is this really martial arts?" put a girl in a cheerleading uniform out there doing the exact same thing and the title of the video would be a very different thing. Its a very impressive gymnasic/juggling routine, but is it martial arts?

You may be older and slower, but if you were ever to be in dire situation, I guarantee you your training and muscle memory would kick into overdrive.

To perform that extremely difficult routine in front of their schoolmates without any mistakes is a testament to the amount of training they did and to their confidence. And I have to mention the kid in the red shirt coming onto the screen from the right at 3:06. He and his mates are definitely blown away.

The one thing came to mind when watching this. I'm 53 now and when I was 17 I was the only one of several in high school that was into the Martial Arts. I'm 53 today, and I still am into this amazing sport. I think of the youth today and see how probably 99% of those in that gym watching this demonstration, are too lazy and tied into their make believe social media worlds to attempt what these young people display here. You two are at the top of what leaders are truly made of. Well done indeed!!!

When i lived in france for a year last year, i wanted to continue doing fencing and ballroom dancing but i realized that the way they run their schools is completely different. U can barely get in contact w them in the 1st place let alone register.

20 plus years of martial arts training here. An i have to say that these two did a great demonstration. That was definitely routines they used to earn a stripe. Both were spot on with there moves an i can tell they are very disciplined in their style.

I took Karate classes in Highschool and I'm impressed that they both attained Black belts and mastered weapons at their age.
My 12 yo niece is thinking of starting a martial art. I'm going to show her this video and tell her she can accomplish anything with discipline, patience, and practice. Incredible work, guys. 👍
Put her on something like boxing or muay thai if you want more of a “martial” feel because those arts are some of the most effective striking arts i know
