- Kedarkantha is a wonderful trek, with pretty campsites and stunning 360-degree views of mountain summits.You will come across snow around 10,000 ft, lying on the forest floor among the pine trees.
The route to Sankri is one of the most beautiful drives in the Indian Himalayas. The temperature in Kedarkantha trek during the day will be at around 8-12 degrees and at night, the temperature will drop to -5 to -7 degrees.
Itinerary :
🏕 Day 1: Arrival in Sankri (6400 FT)
🏕Day 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Taal (9000 FT, 5 Km trek)
🏕Day 3: Juda ka Taal to Kedarkantha Base Camp (11,200 FT, 4 Km trek)
🏕Day 4: Kedarkantha Base Camp - Kedarkantha (12,500 FT) - Hargaon (8,450 FT, 6 Km trek)
🏕Day 5: Hargaon -Sankri (6 Km trek)

Amazing vlog brother , can you please tell me if it will be a good idea if me and my friends set up our tent at juda ka talab and stay there that nyt and next morning from juda ka talab to kedatkantha peak without stopping at kedatkantha base camp as we have limited time for this trip , physically we will not be having any problem as all of us are regular runners

I would recommend to stay at both Juda ka Talab and Kedarkantha Base camp or at the base at least if not Juda ka Talab because you will have to start very early morning to reach the summit before sunrise as the snow will start melting and it would get difficult to ascend late in the morning. You can avoid third camp and get down to Sankri after the summit.

The best time for this is between Dec to March as first snow fall of winters starts in first week of December only.
I have been there this year before the pandemic I would suggest February ending to march second week

Is it good to trek kedarkantha in 1st week of January? Do we get enough snow at that time
We did in mid February and we were tge only group to climb the summit.. You can do it for sure if you are ready to face a lot of snow
Yes December - January is a very good time for the trek.
In feb it gets extremely cold and stormy.

Yes, just make sure to protect it properly and carry extra batteries with a small woollen pouch for them.

@@tnk3527 Nowadays with lot of mobile providing 4K camera and lot of light weight adventure cameras coming in market. Only professional are carrying camera.
