But make sure you prepare well for the trek as in January, snow also adds to the difficulty.

There is a reason for this Arnab. While many of these treks existed, nobody knew about them. It was our teams that explored and documented them in detail, to bring the trek out to the world. Hi Yash, The first snowfall can happen at the end of Novemeber, first week of December. But in recent years, the weather has been erratic. However, you will find snow on the trails towards the end of December up until last week of February. The entire landscape and valley will be covered in white. Hi Santanu, October is not the time to see snow. However, as it’s right after the monsoon, the entire trek comes alive. The meadows and forests are fresh and alive. The air is crisp and the views of the snow clad mountains are strikingly clear. On top of it all, it’ll be less crowded. Yes Aakash. Our technical team will ensure you summit though it is peak winter. You should be able to make it unless there is a snow storm or a snow blizzard.

Hi Gobinda, the chances of encountering snow in November is very less. Go during winter months that is from December - February, if you want to experience snow
Oh november is one of the clearest months to trek in. It is the autumn season and also the onset of winter. You'll see the clearest skies, lovely autumn shades of browns and oranges, and it will be cold as well (no snow, but you'll need 4 warm layers at least).
If you're going with an expert team, where you have technical support to cut through heavy snow, yes you can go ahead and do the trek. We organise the trek in these peak winter months too. You can take a look at it here - indiahikes.com/kedarkantha-trek/
That's right. :) There are some thoughts and ideologies that we hold close to our hearts. 1. As trekkers, there are times when we have to let go of a trek midway. Sometimes we fall ill, or get hit by AMS or at times simply fatigue pulls us down. At other times bad weather plays spoilsport, or the trail is blocked. It can happen that your Trek Leader sends you down due to a safety or health issue. At Indiahikes we feel terrible when such an event happens. Should such a situation occur that you have to drop out from this trek, we want you to know that we feel as bad as you do. You can always come back another time and finish your adventure. For this you do not have to pay Indiahikes any money. 2. On the other hand, there are times when you fall in love with a trek. So much so that you want to do it again, perhaps see it in another season. If you ever desire to do a trek again, please do so. You don’t have to pay Indiahikes any money for repeating this trek. Just inform your Experience Coordinator who will guide you through a special internal process. Our only request: Just register for your trek in advance - you know how it is with our groups - they get booked in advance.
We wouldn't advice you to do that. Swathi herself wrote about her experience of going to KEdarkantha without fitness and what a big mistake it was. You can read about it here - indiahikes.com/regret-trek-kedarkantha-completing-rupin-pass/ It's generally not advisable to go on any high altitude trek without fitness (even if you're skinny). Work on your cardio for at least 30-45 days in advance before your trek.
