I really like most of the announcements. The only things i’d change are •The “train is departing please hold on” should be immediately when the train starts moving •Instead of saying “the next stop will be _” when arriving at a station, they should make a new announcement saying “now arriving _”.
SACRT says they are still working on announcements through late Sep 2024 on the S700's and making other final tweaks which is why they still have some old trains running on the Gold Line still. They do need to work on the announcements though as they shouldn't announce the next stop station when it is arriving within that station already that did bug me.
@@MobileRailSpotterRxR I actually like most of the announcements, my only complaint is that the “train is departing please hold on” announcement is almost always way too late.
so am I the only one who thinks the older trains had better paint jobs at this point? These new ones look a lot sleeker, but the all blue and small amounts of text on the train do not make it look good, it looks boring as hell tbh
SACRT said they aren't putting decales or changing the look until the two year warrenty expires plus SACRT is going through a rebranding anyway which is going to take just as long getting a new look finalized. I still think these look heavily better than the old cars that have been running especially with that wrap ad mess that stuck to the old cars livery after being pulled off. Plus SACRT recieves a lot less federal funding than other systems like LA Metro and MTS that have so much money that they can build multiple line extension projects at the same time.
@@MobileRailSpotterRxRThis Redesigning after a New LRV vehicle is put into service is reminding me of when Metro Transit(Minnesota) got the Siemens S70’s in 2014 and our older trains(Bombardier Talent Flexity Swift Lf-70) with a Black and Yellow were redesigned to match the coat design of the Newer Siemens which had Blue and Yellow
