Hey Jeff! Great review. I just purchased one for my daughter for Christmas. Not a fan of take down limbs or should say never messed with them. So her being new i grabbed the 25lb limbs to be on the safe side. Glad you went over the measuring of the tillers. As a one piece recurve shooter it's something I never had to deal with. Also the 1/8 twist ( i know you said that's how you like it). But I'll give that a try as well. Always a pleasure watching you shoot.
Merry Christmas Jeff, to you & all your loved ones. May The Great Monarch of The Universe continue the keep & bless you always. Yup my Great niece is getting a 25lbs Hermit X8 & her brother is getting a 30lbs X10 for Christmas. Merry Christmas Jeff
Why you edit the video, was going to see how you made it quiet with the Velcro but you took it out? Can you re upload was going to use this for my first hunting bow after watching and can't remember where you put it on the limbs
Good Question ! He even said in that video he helped Sanlida redesign the ILF weak limb pockets ! He even showed pictures of the old riser and the new redesigned riser !
Is the Royal X8 faster than the ILF bows? I bought a RX8 for my ole lady and one for my daughter. They are AWESOME. Thinking about getting one in #55 for myself.
Im looking for my first setup. More questions than answers. If I buy this, what arrows would i need for learning the bow? Sorry, I need to ask entry level questions at this point. Thanks innadvance. This video pushed me more towards commitment than any other. Very informative.
Hy Jeff , thanks for all you do and share in the life of archery. Would you know if I can procure myself this bow from Europe as I live in France. Thanks
Just a suggestion but you should encourage these Chinese companies to ship their bows with the stated weight. I ordered a Hermit X10 at 40 lbs and hoping it comes in at that weight. Don't want to have to deal with the hassle of returning it. Seen too many reviews where the weight is way off.
Jeff, awhile back you had a video about switching from three under to split fingers, and seemed to be happy at the time with split, but later videos you're back to three under. Curious to hear your thoughts on that.
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998understand completely. As a kid I always shot split (recurve), now that I'm getting back to trad I'm thinking 3 under is a better path for me. Does three under alleviate a lot of the concern with finger pinch for us long draw guys, and if so do you think the Hermit can handle 30-31" draw without stacking?
@@strick9351You’re telling me that you’re not typing this on an iPhone, Samsung, Mac or HP product or literally any other tech product that contains Chinese made components…? Don’t be a hypocrite. I'm getting one of these for Xmas. My first bow. I'm looking forward to learning to shoot. Thanks for the vids.
@@gr8johnson3 Awesome!
Great video as always. Not to get off subject but would you please do a few videos with the older Bear bows?
Love the videos and your honesty God bless!!
@@WVBuckSlayer Thanks brother!
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 For a recurve bow do you recommend shooting off the shelf or a rest?

What spine arrows do you recommend for a 40 pound ?
@@tracey38999 600’s if they’re not longer than 29” anything past that needs a 500 because you’d actually be pulling more than 40#👍🏻
What quiver is that?

Mine has become a shooter after tuning
I wish Sanlida made it in left hand. I wanted a wood riser but I ordered a left hand junxing f261 19 inch aluminum over a nice diamond wood riser..
Jeff, the Hermit X8 and Royal X8 are the same price ($149.99). Which one is the better shooter in your opinion?
Keep an eye on your limb tips. I got probably 300 shots on mine and they are cracked at both ends. Reached out to Sanlida. Still waiting on response.

How come Sanlida doesn’t offer any left handed bows?
Very Nce.

Yeah, hate it but he has sold out in the worst of ways too the worst of our nation's enemies and the enemy of Christianity as well. Super sad.

You get out hunting yet?
You only need a quiver for hunting. But if you aren't a hunter like myself. They are pretty useless.
Due they make a lefthanded model
