You can all laugh your socks off as much as you want but back in "95 this was the hardest shit around. Rick might not be the NYHC comic book hero we all thought he was but in the end he still did this MCD, the 7" & the 93 demo which was/is of some of the thoughest hardest hardcore you will ever find. I don't care that he rode a horse, B2B was the epitome of HC, deal with it!!!!
This band was very underrated back in the day. I would rather listen to this now in 2020 than any millennia music. Rick was always a good friendly person to everyone. God bless him, whatever he's been through. You know in hardcore we came from different struggles but found acceptance and strength through unity, No one here listening to this band gets to label another person as mentally ill. Keepin it real, this man lived the lifestyle he preached and he promoted everyone around him. Love you Rick, thank you for all the great shows man.
Several of the best shows I ever went to! Rick was a really friendly guy, I bought a bunch of shirts off of him. He sang "Crucified" with Agnostic Front too.
Underrated back in the day? Like when? I remember everybody was jocking/supporting them back in the mid and late 90s. And they were great back then so Im not dissing here.
You have NO fucking idea what he was and is. NOT a clue. He was a straight-up thief, stole from hardcore bands without apology. You know NOTHING about him.
1995 was the time - and Rick always tried to help bands as much as possible back then! Met him tons of times - been always a good and caring guy.............KEEPIN IT REAL 2023
Eff the hate! Having lived on the fringes of the “scene” back in those days, I personally saw Rick support so many bands and kids and do a lot for the underground. Some folks don’t like the vocals and think they suck? I’ll direct that inquiry to Napalm Death and many other bands with vocals that “sucked”. 😂
Don't care what anyone says, this album and band ruled. The production was amazing, and there were never any other bands that sounded like this, even before you factor in the absolutely crazy vocals. And then the live shows took it up a whole other notch of insanity. Hardcore used to be kind of scary, and it was awesome.
There are still some hardcore shows where it has a nefarious ass line up where you know blood will be shed but I do see what you’re saying. Watching a lot of the live shit from them and other back in the day I can tell the scene was a lot more violent. Now there’s too many people who get hurt and immediately try to press charges are run to social media and cry about. It’s ridiculous
this dropped at a perfect time for me as a kid.crucial....I was looking for a style I didn't know existed..There had to to be a better way to do "hip-hop" influenced into metal as a lifestyle..I mean like Biohazard, not adidas nu metal. Idk..I may be overthinking it..
It was Tha Shit back then and still kick asses, eternal respect to Rick Ta Life mf ! i don't see anyone come close to this except maybe A.F live at CBGB
I always hated the way Rick sang. Always made fun of it couldnt understand how people liked it. They were fun to watch at shows but Rick sucked on albums. blat blat blat, rise ru ra rame, blat blat blat everybody!
