1. Obviously it helps with your drinking/bathing water supply & farming needs.
2. It cleans the air of pollution & dry air helping people with Respiratory problems.
3. It cleans the streets of litter (pushed into drains)
4. Cleans sidewalks from urine smells caused by the homeless & last night club goers.
5. Helps prevent forest fires. (or helps put them out)
6. It keeps people home creating less traffic on the roads & sidewalks.
7. It tends to calm people down who live a fast pace lifestyle in a fast pace city.

Yes indeed, Cali is being hit hard by these storms. You guys need the water though. I can't make it to L.A. so this video is the next best thing. I certainly enjoyed the sounds, lights, and sounds of downtown in the rain.

That was heavy rain. I shouldn't think you see to much rain like that in LA. I know that on past visits drought was a problem so hopefully recent rains will help ease that situation. I enjoy filming when the streets are wet as there are great reflections from the lights.

In my island, Corfu, these storms are frequent but we rarely have problems with floods. In SoCal storms like that are less common, the state is not prepared for these events and they have built everywhere blocking water from flowing down to the sea.
