I was just there last month. I went to pigeon Forge for the quilt show and stoped at PawPaw's on the way back home. I had the fried shrimp with coleslaw and potato salad. The food was great!! 12 shrimp is a lot of food for the money. will be going back again.
I love Pawpaw's. It's aust stop ever since friends who own a business took us there. I make pottery that a store in pigeon forge sells for me. I need to get back down in a few weeks to restock and go to pawpaw's. The oysters look good. I usually get the catfish and my husband gets the shrimp. They have a delicious desert that I have to get and split someone else. I also like supporting local businesses as much as possible.

my family ate there back in july and it was fantastic. we ate the boudin balls and catfish. we ate til we were full and still had food left that we took back to the hotel for a later snack. very delicious food and friendly staff. clean and just an overall good down home friendly place to eat.
The owner of this place fed over 200 firemen and crew for free that were fighting the fires last week in Wears Valley. I love the aligator bites they have here.
Favorite restaurant in the Smokies. Usually eat there all three days they are open when visiting for the week. The catfish is delicious and the remoulade sauce is the bomb. Best kept secret is now out!!!

They were popular in the 1990s and named' 'Shelia's Collectibles', named after a woman in Charleston SC. The houses are scaled down replicas of the original and I love reading the history on the back.
We come to the Smokies every year and I have to visit Wears Valley on our way to Cades Cove. We have seen this restaurant several times but never stopped. We will have to now because that fish looked awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Wegmans's super grocery market in Wilkes Barre, Pa where I live always has catfish in there fish market department so I can get.catfish whenever I want it.

It's as good as Huck Finns. I like both of them. Huck Finns though has more sides and a bigger menu. Be hard to pick which one. Huck Finns has alot more room also. But this felt more like a small family owned business to me. 😎😎

First lets say their decorations are cute, I love the boat with all the things in it. The food looked excellent. Bobbie, if you ever get a bad oyster you'll know it within hours. I got bad oysters once and I was so sick, I couldn't get up out of bed for 2 days! It left me wiped out. We were on vacation in The Wisconsin Dells! After that the drive home was horrible. Myself and our 2 kids were very ill. We ate the oysters, my husband ate the catfish. He was fine. The first night the hospital wanted us to stay and we probably should have. Because of the situation, dehydration was a huge issue. When we got home we went back to bed for 2 more days. It was awful, truly. However, I love oysters and I have never let that one incident stop me from eating them. 21$/ 12 is a fair price too. The food looked so fresh and good. I wish you'd tried the chocolate bread pudding. I'll bet (from what I've seen) that it would be great. Thank you for showing us eating in Wear Valley. I know there's lots of rental cabins out there. Nice to see options outside of Pigeon Forge and Sevierville! Jill Gross
Your first mistake was eating oysters in WISCONSIN. You do realize that oysters come from salt water right? And there aint none of that within 1000 miles.
I'll tear up some store bought potatoe salad now , i like that industrial flavor 😌 sorry ms bobbie cant do the oysters now but i love catfish , all looked so good. Never did get to meet paw paw lol 😆 !!
We love a good seafood place. Was the batter spicy? Neither of us can handle spicy food. We like Bojangles for breakfast but can't handle of the spicy breading on the chicken. I love the homestyle chicken fingers at Bojangles. We would get the fried catfish at PawPaw's if it isn't spicy. We really like the catfish at Huck Finn's. I am also a fan of KFC's cole slaw!
Had KFC cole slaw tonight. Lol. You could eat this Bobbie can't handle spicy and this batter was not spicy at all. It very good but what is so special is the staff is so nice. We recommend this place highly and if you go let us know what you think.😎😎
Great video guys!!We've passed the restaurant many times when coming into town and wondered if the food was good.The building is much larger than it appears from the highway. We definitely want to check that out. We're from Mobile AL.,so we've had the LA cajun special seasoning on the seafood many times.😊

I’ve passed this place many times. Unfortunately most of them in the off season when they were closed. I’m looking forward to stopping in to eat, especially after seeing the food now. Looks delicious! I love Cajun dishes as well, so will have to try some of those.
A few changes would make this place top notch. Needs some different sides; baked beans have no place in a seafood restaurant. Also everything should be made on premises, no exceptions. That said this place looks great!!! I agree with you about the size of cole slaw. KFC sets the standard for cole slaw imho🤣. Hats off to the staff. Would definitely eat here. Excellent music. Congrats! That's the FIRST place y'all have eaten that looked like (1) Good locals restaurant (2) Priced fairly and (3) Not too hokey. Both the catfish and oysters looked really good...The shrimp not so much...definitely frozen. I can't see anybody choosing Joes Crab Shack over this place.

looks great…. i dont believe the hush puppies are made there, they look exactly like what i found at walmart, frozen, but it is what it is. im surprised they dont make their own potato salad as home made is way better than store bought.

Congrats! That's the FIRST place y'all have eaten that looked like (1) Good locals restaurant (2) Priced fairly and (3) Not too hokey. Both the catfish and oysters looked really good...The shrimp not so much...definitely frozen. I can't see anybody choosing Joes Crab Shack over this place.

looks great…. i dont believe the hush puppies are made there, they look exactly like what i found at walmart, frozen, but it is what it is. im surprised they dont make their own potato salad as home made is way better than store bought.
