    Oh my goodness!!! My heart hurts with you because I had a very similar experience 3 months ago when my son was born. The PTSD is so real with traumatic labors and deliveries. It does get easier with time. But take all the time you need to heal emotionally. I felt the need to grieve how my labor went and it helped me start to accept what happened. I couldn’t even discuss what happened for a while because I felt an overwhelming sense of fear for several weeks. Healing does start to happen though. As my body healed, so did my heart and mind. I pray you start to feel better emotionally and physically. Your little one is so beautiful. What what a little miracle he is. So glad you are ok.

    Oh Ana! I’m so sorry that you had to go through what sounds like such a horrible nightmare! You are so incredibly strong and brave to have gone through all that! Your two beautiful children have one amazing and inspiring Mama to look up to! And I’m so glad that you have such a supportive husband and family by your side through it all. Wishing you a speedy recovery!! And congratulations on your healthy baby boy! He is so handsome and cute!

    Oh mama, you are SO STRONG. My heart is breaking for you. I’m sitting here crying along with you because you’re an amazing person and an amazing mother and you didn’t deserve that. I’m so sorry that was such a traumatic experience. Your baby is precious and you’re so great. Don’t let any of that stuff take away from the beauty of the birth of your son. Stay positive.

      Cassi Turner awwwwwww, your comment is making me cry. Thank you for your kind words, I truly appreciate them! I think once I see a therapist and work through the trauma, I'll feel better about the birth. I'm so grateful for my two loving miracles, and people like you!

    I am so sorry you had a rough labor and delivery. Not just that but just an all around bad experience when it’s suppose to be one of your happiest moments in your life. I just had a baby boy as well this Friday will be 4 weeks ago. Praying you heal completely and the traumatic part of your birthing experience gets over shadowed by remembering that your precious baby boy was born that day. {{{hugs}}}❤️

    It's 8/5/2019 and I have NO idea how I got to your video (I got caught in the TH-cam vortex!! Lol) but I'm so glad I did. First of all, Frederick is beautiful and I loved watching him fall asleep looking at you while you filmed. He seems so sweet and calm!! Second of all, I know how hard it was for you leave your daughter when you went to the hospital! I was in labor for over 36 hours with my second and I think I cried for 35 of those hours because I thought she was going to forget who I was and that she'd hate me forever for having another baby lol She's 24 now and is my best friend so she got thru it lol (although to be honest, sibling rivalry is REAL!!) You went thru a rough time!! I know this was almost 2yrs ago so I'm sure you're doing ok now but it wouldn't surprise me if you had some residual PTSD as a result. I am a kidney transplant patient and have been diagnosed with PTSD because of a few things that have gone wrong. Just know that's a real thing, even if some people think that's not a real thing. It is real. Hopefully now that it's been a few years, you have gotten thru the worst of it. I hope you and your son are doing well. Much love❤️

    Omg that’s crazy !!! I would totally report that doctor. So know one else has to go through what you did. Girl I thought mine was bad you beat me by a little. Glad your doing better now. I don’t know if you have heard of Arnica Tea ??? But that was what my mother gave me to heal the inside of my incision. All I wanted was to heal ASAP. Feel better 🙌🏼

      @AnaTTCJourney  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chicago Living I did report the doctor. I've heard from other nurses that she has written up multiple times. I hope something comes from it. I haven't heard of the tea, I'll have to look into it.

    First of all, you are a freaking goddess!!! Listening to you share so openly about your experience!! gah! thank you for your bravery! I am so, so sorry to hear about everything you've gone through. Postpartum is challenging enough without adding major abdominal surgery into the mix and tossing in incision complications. I hope you are able to find lots of time to flow through all of your emotions. ptsd is so heavy. do you have Rescue Remedy? It's been so helpful for our family during triggering times. I'd love to send you a little package of nurturing things if you feel open to receiving that. feel free to pm me your mailing address.
    I also wanted to share with you a link to an organization run by a friend of mine. Its called Special Scars and is a wonderful resource for women with a myriad of uterine scars including inverted T. Maybe there is something in there that will help you and empower you?? If you'd like me to connect you directly with my friend Jessica I am happy to do that.
    Sending lots of love and healing prayers you way mama. Breath in those amazing pheromones released from the top of your baby's head and allow the wash of oxytocin your body releases in response to wash over you and heal you. your body has gifts for you within all of this. oxytocin is definitely one of them! xoxo

    This sounds so similar to me. I'm in the uk so although we are lucky we get free healthcare, our hospitals are stretched and as a result my c section was also complete chaos. It was extremely emergency, I'm obese so that made it scary and difficult but when the OB screamed at the anaesthetist 'get her to sleep we don't have time' I remember thjinkng 'I'm not gonna wake up if you put me to sleep'
    It was just horrific. However next baby- I will be opting for an elective section. That's my choice and my control. I am no way risking all that again. Nice relaxed environment please lol. Also 10 months post partum my section scar has just split open 🙈🙈
    Im so sorry you went through all this- your OB sounded horrible tbh, I bet she wasn't even with incompetent staff, she was prob a bitch!! Can you make a complaint? I definitely would be xx

    • @AnaTTCJourney
      @AnaTTCJourney  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      jennymeister that's so scary!!! I'm sorry you went through that. OMG, your incision just split open. That sucks!!! Thanks for your support. I totally filled complaint, and you're right there were no incompetent nurses or staff in there.

    Ok I just finished the video and had something else to say...I think the lack of communication is deplorable and should never have happened. With that being said, I blame the Dr 10000000% for everything, not the nurses or techs at all. Here's why...you said in the beginning that she was being condescending to the staff before she even started your surgery. Yes, there may have been some students or residents in there since it is a teaching hospital but to me, it sounds like this Dr was on a power trip and wanted to make sure the OR was run the way she wanted it to be run. I also think she was more concerned about getting your son out safely after she started to have a difficult time with him. Sometimes Drs tune out everyone and everything because they are completely focused on the safety of you and your baby. With that being said, the behavior towards you, your husband and everyone in that room is completely unacceptable and quite frankly, disgusting. No, people don't like having their sleep interrupted but ya know what? Those people should not become doctors. Period. I think the OR was so quiet because they were scared of making her mad...and that is just so, so unfortunate. I am a "professional patient" because I went into kidney failure, dialysis, transplant and over 50 surgeries since 2006 and have been diagnosed with PTSD as a result of a lot of similar things happening to me in the hospital. It's scary that some people go into this profession yet have zero people skills. However, those who have the worst people skills tend to be the smartest and the best doctors (unfortunately!) So I try to take comfort in that. I'm so sorry for everything you have had to go thru!!
