@Pristine Artifact I feel that it's not just smoking when it comes to the grandfather. Yes, the smoking is sad, but more of the outright neglect of Claire comes from the fact that he is also addicted to the television. He doesn't spend enough time with Claire because he values watching his shows over paying enough attention to her. To Claire she is only seen as the cigarette go-getter because that's the only time the grandfather diverts his attention away from the television.
Everyone in that house is broken and all of them have addictions that help them escape from reality. This includes Claire. This is how the cycle continues.
@BRAYLON BURK that's exactly right. Judging by his lifestyle he doesn't seem like he really wants to change. It could also be fear though, facing the fact that you are killing yourself through your unhealthy habits is scary.

This character is one of the best metaphors I’ve ever seen. At least the way I interpreted it, he’s a metaphor for greed. Basically vegetating himself to the point where he can barely breath, literally blind to the pain he’s inflicting on himself and others.
I like to think the reason why the visuals are so Low-Poly is because of him being only capable to imagine shapes by touching the objects, so he doesn't have a clear idea of what they actually look like.
Just had a random panic attack out of nowhere and couldn't breathe... After I recovered it was my immediate reaction to put this on and jam tf out, seemed fitting
Jack Stauber really hit a good middle ground in entertainment. Just enough to entertain and interesr you but not too edgy to a point where it makes you feel like shit.
"im popular here" how itonic that grandpa is probably just as neglected as Opal but he doesn't realize it or doesnt *want* to realize it. "They fight over me like dogs" this is just his own mirror of Claire's Opal fantasy...its so sad he cant embrace Claire and her see her for the person she is and they could help each other feel loved.
I think that's the point. a sad comforting nostalgia that reminds you of someone you loved and spent time with, even though they were in poor heatlth. you don't want to leave their side regeardless.
The grandpa is a bit more multifaceted than the other characters. The other characters are just selfish and mean, and even though there is apparently implied to be some trauma that caused them to act like that, it isn't an excuse. The grandpa, however, seems to be less aware of his effects on Claire. I don't think he really realizes how traumatizing it is for her that he's having her fetch him cigarettes, literally forcing her to let him slowly kill himself. He definitely isn't a good person, but there's a tragic layer to him that really doesn't resonate in the other characters like it does him.
He reminds me of my grandpas friend a lot he was a drug addict and had some health problems he just lays in bed watching tv he can see but he can’t walk he doesn’t try to help himself at all
Like most of you, I don’t even see this as referring to literal health problems. Thinking about the lyrics really puts it into a different perspective. TV makes life in general seem so easy. You watch it to live vicariously for the impossible things, you escape, pass time, etc. On the screen living the life you wants seems as easy as breathing.
i might've commented on this already but like...fuck a really close of me and my wife recently went off to join the military. i asked him once offhandedly if he knew of jack stauber and it ended up in him and me singing this together, lol. this song's always had a very bittersweet vibe to me, and that memory just makes it even moreso. we heard from him recently but still, we miss him.

This character is one of the best metaphors I’ve ever seen. At least the way I interpreted it, he’s a metaphor for greed. Basically vegetating himself to the point where he can barely breath, literally blind to the pain he’s inflicting on himself and others.
Yeah.add a nicotine addiction and a lack of respect for himself and others.and neglect for his family.
god i love this song so much thank you, you are a gentleman and a scholar
I love the Nintendo 64 esc visuals so much
Not really Nintendo 64 like but still good tho
@@TheJubberGubb it gives me vibes that it’s like a beta version of an n64 cutscene
Ah ok yeah I can see it now
I like to think the reason why the visuals are so Low-Poly is because of him being only capable to imagine shapes by touching the objects, so he doesn't have a clear idea of what they actually look like.
We getting out the house across the street with this one boys 🔥🔥🔥🥶🥶🥶
indeed🤑

Jack Stauber is crazy talented. Some of his animations are borderline creepy, but somehow so easy to fall in love with.
Listening to this in a hospital with a collasped lung...... I can relate :D
Hope ur ok
@@Acariiakaaaarii Forgot about my comment :o yep all good now not dead 👍
This song makes me wanna cough
Right!? The editing on his voice perfectly borders clearly understandable and choking on his own lungs.
Ikr. This song makes me chest hurt
I have asthma

Just had a random panic attack out of nowhere and couldn't breathe... After I recovered it was my immediate reaction to put this on and jam tf out, seemed fitting
Jack Stauber really hit a good middle ground in entertainment. Just enough to entertain and interesr you but not too edgy to a point where it makes you feel like shit.
This song has been stuck in my head for I don’t even know how long.
The distortion in this old man’s voice is so unsettling and creepy..I love it I can’t stop watching/listening
Idk why but this ONE song just makes my brain go brrrrrrrrr. Gramps was dropping bars with his dying lungs istg
am I the only one who felt bad for him he reminds me of my own grandpa
I felt bad for him too.
I think that's the point. a sad comforting nostalgia that reminds you of someone you loved and spent time with, even though they were in poor heatlth. you don't want to leave their side regeardless.
@@greekgodapollosfarts7823 He was pretty normal compared to the rest
The grandpa is a bit more multifaceted than the other characters. The other characters are just selfish and mean, and even though there is apparently implied to be some trauma that caused them to act like that, it isn't an excuse.
The grandpa, however, seems to be less aware of his effects on Claire. I don't think he really realizes how traumatizing it is for her that he's having her fetch him cigarettes, literally forcing her to let him slowly kill himself.
He definitely isn't a good person, but there's a tragic layer to him that really doesn't resonate in the other characters like it does him.
He reminds me of my grandpas friend a lot he was a drug addict and had some health problems he just lays in bed watching tv he can see but he can’t walk he doesn’t try to help himself at all
I didn't notice that this is looped, just when I came for see at the comments, nice work dude
this would be really good for a horror/phycological game ad
the loop is so clean i can see my reflection in it
That was really clean, nice loop
Clarie is probably just watching him waiting to give him his cigarettes as he sings like ◒_◒
Nice
Hola como estas.
:D

Wait-
IT'S A LOOP?!
IT'S SO CLEAN!
I love this song so much simple lyrics but have a complicated meaning. Plus it's catchy.
Opal is the one thing I refuse to watch again cause it freaks me out a lot
But I’ll listen to this on loop lol
Why is this such an unapologetically catchy bop!
We getting out of our smoking addiction with this one🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
the breathing sounds actually make my chest feel heavy
i might've commented on this already but like...fuck
a really close of me and my wife recently went off to join the military. i asked him once offhandedly if he knew of jack stauber and it ended up in him and me singing this together, lol. this song's always had a very bittersweet vibe to me, and that memory just makes it even moreso. we heard from him recently but still, we miss him.
It’s crazy how this is just Jack pitch shifted and it sounds great.
I find it so sick how well animated the lips are, they are synced so perfectly
I have this song stuck in my head man- I was singing it all day
what a clean transition
This song is sad but I just can’t get over the dance the lip girl does at 1:25
It’s too funny
I fell like I smoke a pack a day and stay sad after listening to this. It really hits hard
Explain ur pfp pls
im trying to tell if this is a joke comment or not cause you sound like you dont speak english
god his voice really creeps me out
i love it
I would pay real life moneys to hear a full song with this man
Bruh I love her dancing!😩 0:39
gorgeous
Girl is FUCKING IT UP
Bro this dancing is gravity💀
Tell me, why is so easy?
The loop is so clean I could listen to this for hours.
Very grateful for this extended version. 1 minute isn’t enough of this track
For a guy who apparently can't breathe very well, he is a really good singer.
Why does the guy who can barely breathe have the best song?💀💀💀💀
