I liked the last kingdom but it's production value seemed mediocre compared to vikings, a few years back I even cried during Ragnars way to death as it was portrayed incredibly well. I watched it for the first time a couple of months ago. I would have never dreamed how amazing it would be. I felt so lucky that I had all the seasons to watch all at once. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Had no idea it even existed!

Never have I ever been so interested in what really happened with whom (like the coffin brought to the castle didn't happen to Ragnar, but to the guy who was his brother on the show and so on and so on)... Would rewatch. Out of dozens of TV shows (GoT included), I'd rewatch the Office and this masterpiece.
Testament to how isolated Iceland was for so long, that we Icelanders understand every word spoken in the "old norse" in the series. It is basically Icelandic.

Lots of things were historically accuare and the characters too. Some events like the civil war were not accurate at all though and alot off the characters didn't live at the same time but there are many things that are pretty accurate and some things that are twisted a little bit
Its AN IMPOSSIBILITY to get anything historically correct, that means no room for doubt, and unless you were an eyewitness we take what we can. I was satisfied.
