Stocking were the favorite! Lots of little things and candy from Santa. And an ornament. We took those ornaments with us when we married and moved out of the house :)
Stockings are still a big deal in our house. My kids insist I have their original stocking here for Xmas morning!!! I love the yule traditions we have.
That is a gorgeous deck! I love the book and I do read reversals. I don’t know if I need a Christmas specific deck. That would only give me a month’s worth of usage but I do like it a lot. Thank you for a look at it. I’ve looked at it a few times and didn’t realize how great that book was!
I really was excited by the majors and was definitely interested…until the courts…what happened? I don’t have a Holiday deck, but this one was so interesting to me because of the majors and all the different cultures represented, for the first time I wanted a holiday deck-I was interested in THIS one. If anyone has this deck, can you provide me with more insight into the courts? Does the book ‘save’ the artwork of the courts?
The courts were truly disappointing. I see courts as more than personality types, but in this deck they are strictly people. The book does not do much with them other than give the standard ideas about courts as personality types. This is a novelty deck. I think using this seasonally and knowing that the deck reads the courts as people, could direct the times you choose to use it. I'm a collector and I do feel this is the best Yuletide deck I've found for tarot, otherwise I use the seasons of the witch yule. Bottom line for me: yule is more than stocking and trees. This season is about the final decent into self and the work that happens at that time... maybe I need to make a deck!
Thank you for clarifying how the book addresses the courts for me, April. As a history lover, I was really into the the different countries & cultures represented in the deck, which is not something you see very often. I too, see the courts as much more than people, so I’ll have to sit and think more on this one. I truly appreciate the review and bringing this deck to my attention. I would be very interested in a deck created by you! A ton of work, yes, but I would love to experience a deck put out into the world by your creative mind.
Thanks for this walk through, April. Fun to this deck. Sadly, it’s a pass for me even though it reminds me of another fav Llewelyn deck. Really like the majors but the minors are too modern for me. Stockings were always fun in my house growing up. A mix of toys and useful things like new toothbrush, school supplies, etc. Hubby and I still do them every year for each other. We open them on Christmas morning. Tarot and oracle decks tuck so nicely in a stocking…!🎄🍄❄️
I got this because it was nostalgic. I'm not going to lie, I don't like the court cards.... BUT the book is amazing on the majors, and even thoughts on the rest of the cards are really thought-provoking

Pretty. Love the book!
The book is really full of great thoughts.

Happy holidays!
I can't wait to use mine! I just took it down off the shelf last night ❄☃
I'll be bringing mine inside to work with all month.

We die stocking the same. When my kids disrt moved out they would hold out for new toothbrushes and toothpaste! Lol
I didn't know about this deck. Now I am contemplating it. I will think on it awhile as I ask myself -again - how many decks does a girl need?
It's a novelty....

we celebrate Sinterklaas in the Netherlands
Love this deck thank u for this 😘
I love that so many traditions are included!
I really really love this deck 😍 I asked it for christmas 🤞🏻
I wish it was more magickal and less realistic. Don't like the way people are portrayed. Still looking for the perfect Yule/Christmas/Winter deck.
Same here. I got excited seeing how pagan the majors were but then the minors turned too modern for me. Our search continues…!

I normally don't do holiday tarot decks, but...
