  • This is our P&O ARVIA INSIDE CABIN TOUR. During Arvia's maiden voyage we selected to stay in an inside cabin. We were allocated 15111, which is located at the very front of the ship. We hope you find this tour helpful and we hope it gives you a clear indication of what amenities P&O Cruises cabins have to offer.

    We were on the maiden voyage of P&O's newest ship, Arvia, in December 2022 out of Ocean Terminal in Southampton! We were onboard for 14 nights. The cruise visited a number of ports in Portugal and Spain over Christmas and New Years. This is the first time we have experienced a Christmas and New Year cruise, and also, this was our first P&O cruise.
    We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021. We are relatively new to cruising, however we can now say we are officially hooked.
    Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.
    We have created a list of our cruise essentials. These are items we take with us when we travel and we hope they may be useful to you. We have also added a Wine list which contains some of the wines we have tried whilst cruising.

    Brilliant review. Picking up on the exact things that us cruisers actually find a bit annoying in the cabins. I am booked on Arvia for the Caribbean in Nov. Booked Arvia before the ship was in service so went with the recommendation that the outside cabins were the most spacious. Hubby and I usually book a balcony but have tried most styles of room on different ships. I like lots of storage for my (15 pairs of🙀) shoes and many outfits, handbags and accessories! I usually pay for an extra case but I don’t think I’ll have anywhere to store my outfits unless I keep them in my cases under the bed but that’s not really how I like to holiday! Good to see you guys saying it how it is. Thank you for this honest and thoughtful review.

    • @TomandDomTravel
      @TomandDomTravel  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you we really appreciate your comment! There does seem to be a lack of storage space on newer ships! Arvia is no exception and we did struggle to fit 14 days worth of clothes etc into the cabin! 😐 I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic time onboard, Arvia is a beautiful ship!

    Thank you so much Tom & Dom, a superbly balanced review, ( we are on Arvia Sept 2024 -2 weeks - balcony cabin ) your reviews hit the right notes - there are quite a few ( cruise vlogers now ) in my opinion you come out on top.

    Loved this review..
    So glad there’s no awful shower curtains.
    I’m a very cold person I’m hoping the heating works good in our balcony cabin.
    We take a power bank with extra USB’s etc…..and a non surge extension lead.
    We’re on deck 15 soon quite close to this area and we’re hoping it’s in a quiet area…..

      @TomandDomTravel  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! 😀 Nothing worse than a shower curtain! We do the same, you can never have enough plug sockets! The USB lamps in the cabin are very useful! Deck 15 was nice and quiet! I’m sure you will have an amazing cruise onboard Arvia! 😀

    Thanks as always for your content and keeping it 100% real for us 'common folk'. Your decision to go with a mix of balcony and inside cabins on your journeys reflect the choice of the broader audience of travelers with Mini and Super Suites being the exception. The Arvia Seaview cabin looks much better (roomier and brighter) and I hope it remains an affordable option as I plan to give it a go.
    If you were a daily t-shirt and board shorts kinda person, that inside cabin could work for you 🤓and you would save tons of dough 💸on clothing and accommodations. Imagine how relaxed you would be to go to the dining salon daily in kaki pants and flip-flops. A 14-day trip in a travel backpack would definitely widen your audience. LOL
    Look forward to the entire series.

      Thank you! 😃 The Arvia Sea View Cabin is much bigger and had a nice seating area as well! Crusing would be much easier without the dress codes 😆

    Hello lads thanks for the video. Again nice to see a pain inside cabin for the regular cruising person. I'm shocked p&o haven't gone with the virtual balconies yet. What I'd like to see from p&o it's more fair pricing If you book 2yrs early you should get the pick of cabin at fair price. But from inside just to a window the jump sometimes is like £700pp silly just for a window sooner spend it on tours ect.

    • @TomandDomTravel
      @TomandDomTravel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment! 😀 A virtual would have been great for some extra light! P&O pricing is a bit confusing and they are expensive 🤔

      @@TomandDomTravel Trying to reserve on P&O from America is frustrating. I looked at cruises a year out and the agent kept telling me rooms in a certain class are 'blocked-off'. Does that mean agents or groups have reserved a block of room?

      Thanks for your comment! I think the cabin for us was a little bit too small for a 14 night cruise, and also fairly dark. Unfortunately we VLOG as we find, I’d be more upset if I’d book a cabin and it wasn’t what I expected once I’d boarded. Again this is just our opinion and you may completely disagree. I’m sure you will have a great time onboard none the less 😀

    I do not think I could ever tolerate an inside cabin. Just too claustrophobic. But this one is beautiful. I agree it is too small. I do not like rooms that have no sofa. I don't find it too dim.

    Hi guys, long shot as this video was released a while ago, but do you know what size this room was? We're looking at booking a two week med cruise on Arvia for our honeymoon and there seems to be a huge range of sizes available for inside cabins (which sadly is all we can afford!). They seem to be anywhere from 103sqft to 213?! Thanks!!

    • @TomandDomTravel

      @@TomandDomTravel Thank you so much for such a quick reply. Do you perhaps know how to go about finding room numbers that have the larger dimensions? Think we're going to use ClubCard vouchers to upgrade from Saver to Select fare, then try and get one of the roomier options if possible!
