Near the end of four months of filming in Kansas City - and a couple of months after scoring three television Emmy Awards - the stars of Netflix’ infectious reality series Queer Eye sit down at the Central Library to discuss their newly released book Queer Eye: Love Yourself, Love Your Life.
Makeover specialists Bobby Berk (interior design), Karamo Brown (culture), Tan France (fashion), Antoni Porowski (food and wine), and Jonathan Van Ness (grooming) also figure to reflect on their Kansas City experiences.
The Fab Five and Queer Eye crew have been in the city since July, shooting the third season of the hit series. Those episodes will run in 2019. The book, billed as “a behind-the-scenes exclusive, a practical guide to living and celebrating your best life, and a symbol of hope,” is scheduled for release November 13.
These guys have impacted my life more then they'll ever know.

The people who would never give QE a chance are the people who need it the most. I am so grateful to see the tide turning in the right direction and I hope that the new generation of humans on this planet will leave behind the toxic ignorance that has prevailed for too long.
Really! Even this conversation leaves my with happy tears. These folks are so kind, intelligent and thoughtful. I’m so glad to have them counteract all the negativity we are suffering through.

I love encouragement and praise that they give each other, their 'friends'. Makes me want to be encouraging for others in my life, to be genuinely excited for and supportive for others. JVN is the most vocal in his praise. Love that.

One thing about Jonathan - the man knows his politics.
When he has younger, his halloween costume was the judge that oversaw the Monica Lewinsky car, so like, he's been into politics for a while lol. I recommend his podcast Getting Curious to just hear more about him. It's not specifically about politics, but it's such a good listen

I love these 5 beautiful souls SO much 😭 I've re-watched all of the seasons of Queer Eye, especially when I'm in a rough head space and it has helped heal me so much.
This reiteration came at a perfect time. Inspiring and supportive of people struggling to accept and be accepted.
Teaching the world to just love yourself and others, and embrace and be who you really, authentically are.
Keeping the joy alive.

Love this but wish the moderator would have backed off and let the boys banter more, as their interactions show so much of themselves. Was a bit over-controlled when it could have been a more free and interesting interview.

Everyone else had the day off from filming. He had to spend all day working on the show then came straight to the event.
Antoni is a very touchy feely person with Jonathan and Tan and is completely separated by those chairs. I don't know if you've ever noticed but he's ALWAYS holding someone's hand in all the interviews.
I don’t know if he’s uninterested; I think he’s just more reserved and introspective. He’s clearly quite introverted, which I can totally relate to myself. He’ll speak when he feels the need to.
