For 20 years now, I have listened to your cover of Mad World throughout all the highs and lows of my life. When things are going well - the headphones come on and it's Mad World on repeat. When things are not going so well, the headphones come and it's Mad World on repeat. No matter how many times I've listened to it, it always seems to find new meaning to me. It's one of the best ways lyrics have ever been sung. And this new song is absolutely great too and I'm sure it have a similar effect to myself and others over the years as Mad World did.
I remember listening to this song a decade ago as a freshly graduated high school student. I still use many lines of this song in everyday conversation. There is no way this can be the first time I am hearing you. Actually, this song was playing on a Grey's Anatomy rerun and I had to find it. I am drawn in so much when your voice is quiet, but incredibly crisp and clear. It genuinely reminds me of when I shoot microphotography. The closer you are drawn in, the more beautiful it becomes. You remind me of a few other artists I listen to, or rather the style, but your voice is distinct. I won't be forgetting you from here on out. I feel cheated of my time without your music.
