This was once my brothers favourite song . I remember him bringing the original version home, by tears for fears and playing it in our living room. Sadly he passed away on the 8th of March 2024 aged 60, one month after his birthday. 😢😢 It will always remind me of him.

I've loved Tears For Fears since I first heard Mad World in 1982. I must admit though that Gary Jules cover brought more meaning to the lyrics, which seem a lot darker in his version. I love the original version, it's a classic. This is the first time I've heard this version and I prefer both this and Gary Jules to the original.
