    I love this look and it’s definitely a great way to use up supplies that I don’t reach for very often. One thing I noticed was that when I use distress oxide inks, the glitter paste picked up some of the color so I couldn’t put it back in the jar. I plan to do some more cards and I will have several in the same color family to do at the same time so I don’t waste as much paste.

      I have masses (for some reason my mother thought I liked using it so she bought me loads?!) so I'm definitely going to try something like this with them. The glue is water-based so it buckles lower-weight paper, so it would have to be spread on quite a thick card.

    Hi Jennifer! Beautiful cards as usual! I have a question, though. For your first couple of cards why couldn't you add the glitter paste right to the background paper first - before adding the die cuts? Would that not work? Just wondering if that might be a simpler way to do it. I'm sure you've probably already considered this and did it the way you did for a reason but thought I'd ask. Thank you for all your wonderful ideas!

    • @jennifermcguireink
      @jennifermcguireink  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you glitter first then die cut you will be putting the die cut down on a potentially bumpy surface. It will stick with the right adhesive but I just think the die cut first gives you a cleaner look.

    • @kristinelouisag
      @kristinelouisag 3 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @kelliescraftythumb

  • @meaghanlarsen1618

    How do you stamp sediment strips so perfectly? Yours always look so clean and professional. Mine always look so blurry or flawed like half is good but the other half will smudged. I see you use a Misti and stamp and then trim. What black ink do you use?

    • @jennifermcguireink
      @jennifermcguireink  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The key to getting crisps, non blurry when stamped is not to push down too hard. That causes the stamp to "squish". So if you're not getting a great first impression you are better off using your MISTI and stamping more than once lightly vs pushing down too hard. I like Gina K Amalgam ink.

    • @meaghanlarsen1618
      @meaghanlarsen1618 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jennifermcguireink I am super guilty of pushing down too hard
