Hey fellow Azalia! For my program, I think my schedule depended on what was the focus for the year. Eg. in year 1, we had to finish up our courses and proposals, Year 2 was trying to get published and doing the fieldwork, and year 3 was the writing process. I did uave a writing schedule for year 3, bt for others I think i set timelines/goals to makesure i met the requirements to proceed to the next year. Hope this helps and all the best!

I think for me, it is important to sit down and talk about what is it that both of you want to do, and what is their expectations. Does he prefer you not to work? What kind of sacrifices the two of you are willing to make etc. From there you can tell at least abit of how supportive they will be. Hope this helps
Hey Azalia, nice story! I've got a question: when you submitted you documentation at the beginning of the process at the embassy, how long did it take them to reply? I'm asking because now they require all documentation to be submitted online, but they don't reply to my e-mails when asking them if they received everything properly (they actually put in the information sheet to e-mail them for confirmation of document reception).
Hello. In Malaysia, from my experience after submitting all the docs, shortlisted applicants will receive an email to sit for the written examination. Only after passing that stage will the shortlisted candidates be asked to come for an interview and submit all other full documents then. After that we wait a month plus for the interview results. Probably due to the pandemic they are replying late maybe? 🤔
Uggh I was also worried about getting married during Phd because what if I get pregnant😢
