Congratulations on getting enough followers to get advertising. Seems like you've put something good together between the videos. Clothing line and training. My buddy just bought your PLO training videos and is really stoked with them. I haven't seen them but I really like your concept on the SB. Thanks for all your doing man
What are you trying to get to fold when you shove the missed clubs? I guess overpairs or a 9, but specifically overpairs don't always fold anyway? Advice on why this is a profitable shove (if it is) is appreciated.
Doug congrats on your calling cards effectiveness. Also congrats on having 2 straight flushes. After watching your videos for quite a while now it seems like when you have missed a draw on the river you shove yet if the river didn't effect the strength of your hand you will value bet a lot more often.
When you got the second straight flush, why go all-in? Why not place a bet that would almost force them to call to get a little more money out of them?
When you see him overbet jam king high, you should have the answer to your question. He's getting called by a jack, and if villain knows who he's up against, queen probably calls too. Meanwhile, busted draws won't even call a small bet.
@@carecup809 you don't know many poker players do you? A lot of them are weird as fuck and he's no different, I'd say 1 out of every 5 serious players are ok people to chill and talk with. It's funny when people think just because someone is on TV a lot they are one of the best players, Id bet money the best players have never bin on TV ever.
Doug's commentary from 8:52 to 8:59 (when opponent calls) is legendary, genius shit. He totally called the situation and it was a perfect demonstration/culmination of just a lot of the complex concepts he often talks about.
Very cool background music. I'm a fan of old school rap, and some of the new stuff (mostly Drake, Miguel, ect). So give it up.... is it a station I can create on Pandora?
yeah he is overbet shoving so many bluff on the river, he has to do it with his value hands also, otherwise opponents will call every overbet shove and fold 70% bets
Can someone please explain the whole running it twice thing? I know Doug said it's better to do in long run for making money, but as someone who knew nothing of it until his videos, I am totally confused.
Doug, why don't you try to take some values from the guy instead of shoving when you hit the crème of the crème (straight flush). I know you are an expert, I just want to know why you did this move instead of any other move ?
No, fold and wait for a better spot. You get these situations all the time I would just wait until the board is locked up and you will for sure win to put the money in.
doug you should play the same way live that you do online sitting there across from phil helmuth FOOOOOOLLLLLLDDDD!!!!! FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLDDDD! GET YOU COOKIE JAR PHIL!
What site is this you play on??? Is it strictly for you big timers?? Or can anyone play?? Is this real money also or what?? I'm confused I thought it wasn't allowedb in the US??
Hey Doug ...do you bluff all in cause you got back up money ...would you do same plays if your starting out and have low bank roll ? You play awesome man ...or is that how you suppose to play and bluff if you miss your draws ??
Why 2x pot the river? As played he's folding all his top pairs, and some two pairs. Whats the point of polarizing so much when your opponents range is capped?
But then his shove with bluffs work as well if he is making a small river bet with value hand what does it mean if he shoves likely a bluff so he is balancing it out
Doug crying FOLLLLLLLLLDDDD reminds me of when I used to bet a favorite in football and I’d cry for a pick 6 because that was the only they could cover. Pick sixxxxxxxxxx!
Today I lost 7 cosecutive AA/KK hands, peope called all in preflop. 7 times in a fucking row. And then I get to see Doug getting 2 straight flushes and he basically hits every important hand. I know it aint rigged, but man sometimes, it's hard not to get upset haha
Give me your e-mail and I will send you hand history tomorrow when I am at the computer. I am really not kidding you, I thought it to be impossible too, just a super super unlucky day haha, guess Doug took out some of mine
u havent played enough hands if you havent run this bad before. sooner or later you will run worse than you ever thought possible, and then it will happen again worse to you one day still.

Nice to hear, why didn't he mention it anywhere?
How do you not have a "hand in the cookie jar" shirt, or a "get your cookie jars, OUT!" shirt? Come on man!
he must have just forgot to mention it
omg there was a giveaway? how come i didn't know about it
notice how you never see doug and vanessa in the same shot
LMAO
It's probably an X-file case
They the same person dun dun dunnnn
Do you ever do anything else on the river than overbet jam?
Corleonex fold pre
Corleonex, sometimes he overbets the turn bro
lmfao
Yeah, he also yells FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD
It seems to work out in his favor 5x'ing his stacks in a couple hours and dominating the entire pool of players.
Doug Polk, professional Poker ghost. Memorable quotes: "Fooooooooooooold"
There's something sick.about watching someone jam 2 of your paychecks on a stone river bluff in poker 😂
KcTc on a 9 high rainbow board, Douglas k Polk "I guess we're gonna have to slow play this" .... Haha good shout!!
“I’m sorry I must have missed it, where are the clubs at??”😂😂
You need to click your bet sizes more for them to work, common mistake
I have to say I miss these videos back when you were playing bro I laughed a ton on this one it was great
Loved the K10 of clubs hand!.... Especially the commentary..... You're an absolute legend Doug!
It's spelled your*
Goldyn Chyld Lol.... hilarious comment
ROFLMAO "Where da klubs at?"
fucking LEG. BRUH

Lmao at the k10c hand. Lol @ "it will be harder for him to see the flush" assuming the back door flush was auto
Doug congrats on your calling cards effectiveness. Also congrats on having 2 straight flushes. The K 10 Clubs hand was great Doug... funny too!

Right and if they have Jack's they might shove.
To me honestly both straight flush bets were horrible, he should of bet the pot of maybe half pot for value .
@@JedmcCj-uq5dw And yet he is one of the best HU players of all time and you're grinding nl50.

I'd like you to review the 98s hearts hand. Interested to hear your views on your opponents play with the pocket Tens.
Good stream. I like watching your streams more than your hand analysis videos.

Extremely aggressive plays! I never see nothing like that before in the other pro player around. It's quite good this highlights! 👍👏👊
More cash games on your channel if possible! Anyway keep this great content Doug!
Doug what is the name of the instrumental playing whilst you play the QT hand? Thanks ! :)
Really enjoy seeing You play Doug!
Very cool background music. I'm a fan of old school rap, and some of the new stuff (mostly Drake, Miguel, ect). So give it up.... is it a station I can create on Pandora?
i am sorry, i am new to online poker.
I was curious as to what is the 4 number thingy under each player for eg:30/22/10/81?
its crazy how fast the game of poker can evolve around players not putting constant work in.
What is the music in the background ? Its nice to listen to while playing poker :-)
An artist called George Fields, his music is on our channel
The overbet jam all in may have been a little much considering villain's stack was twice the pot. Maybe bet 1400 or even half pot to induce
william sharpe he's doing the same with bluffs, please take a second to realize how stupid it is to bet big with bluffs and bet small with value
Cheered me up no end that Doug thanks :)
the song in question was "uptown girl"
Also I don't use my computer ever (live grinder). Are your PLO videos able to play on IPAD?
oh shit dougs hair actually looks cooler than before .....
What's the tune playing at the 7 min mark?
Have you ever thought about doing a giveaway?
is there really any reason to go all in with that diamond straight flush? wouldn't a bet of like 70% pot get called way more often?
yeah he is overbet shoving so many bluff on the river, he has to do it with his value hands also, otherwise opponents will call every overbet shove and fold 70% bets
Can someone please explain the whole running it twice thing? I know Doug said it's better to do in long run for making money, but as someone who knew nothing of it until his videos, I am totally confused.
I usualy play like texas holdem version. But never saw second row of dealing cards, what is that ? I saw ten cards on table ??
It's called running it twice. Usually its only done in live cash games when allin, but pokerstars also has that option.
knock knock?? Who's there? Doug polk 's giveaway! "Go away" P.S. like the thumb nail with 6 10 off...hehe love the vids man!
Doug, why don't you try to take some values from the guy instead of shoving when you hit the crème of the crème (straight flush). I know you are an expert, I just want to know why you did this move instead of any other move ?
Hey whats the name of the chillhop song at 4:00 ?
George Fields - Ephemeral
Thank you :)
How can you not luv doug also did we mention theres a giveaway?
Must suck when you cant get value from the nuts because you have to overbet jam the river to balance your range from all these bluffs xD
Love your videos man !!=) Keep it up!
Lawd one of those pots could pay 3 of my rents 😭 congrats on your success my friend ! Meanwhile FOOOOLLLLLDDD 🤘
I love the calm dry humor Hahahaha little shit like that gets me every time "ummm I'm here for all your chips" Hahahaha dying laughing
You are awesome, Doug! Thank you very much
What are these odd pot percentages. Can you set them yourself?
that was pretty cool doug. i literally loled when u missed the clubs. ur prettty funny huh/ xoxo
Why he keeps saying..."Good luck Gus"? ~@8:20 I thought his name is Doug?
He's saying "Good luck us"
what genre of music would this be called?
Well played
Is there an option on twitch to play livestreams later? Otherwise people can ghost him
why the turn jam with AQ top pair? why?? surely just bet a normal size?
Why was there two sets of cards on the table sets of 5 and all the flop in the river in the turn I don't get
Snap-check with his straight flush... otherwise waits and waits before any decision.
OMG you have a tell on dougie ... you should go pro ^.^
but what you failed to realize he was first to act....muahahaha
You clearly didn't understand what I meant. I meant he checked after one sec with the nuts but then he was thinking like 15-20 secs in all other pots.
Because he's checking 100% of his range in that spot.
he waited the same amount of time when he was IN position .. but he was OUT of position when he check jammed the needles
Hey Doug, first hand WSOP ME, someone open shoves UTG, you wake up in the big bling with AA, do you call?
No, fold and wait for a better spot. You get these situations all the time I would just wait until the board is locked up and you will for sure win to put the money in.
gotta fold aa pre sometimes... its in my book
What are the coloured numbers next to his opponents names?
1. What happened to the first hand (q-10) 2. 9 of diamonds though :-)
Why do you run it twice?
Does anyone know? thanks
Reduce variance
Alexander Bown that makes sense. Is there any reason not to run it twice then?
You want to ball out
What's that song at 3:40 it's fire
George Fields - Ephemeral
what's the music at the beginning?
George Fields - Below The Surface
doug you should play the same way live that you do online sitting there across from phil helmuth FOOOOOOLLLLLLDDDD!!!!! FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLDDDD! GET YOU COOKIE JAR PHIL!
That straight flush though (diamonds)
11:39 why do you go all-in in situations like that surely it would be better to bet 500-600 and try and get something out of it
What site is this you play on??? Is it strictly for you big timers?? Or can anyone play?? Is this real money also or what?? I'm confused I thought it wasn't allowedb in the US??
Of course real money. It is pokerstars.
Why is Vanessa Selbst posting videos on Doug's channel?
Hey Doug ...do you bluff all in cause you got back up money ...would you do same plays if your starting out and have low bank roll ? You play awesome man ...or is that how you suppose to play and bluff if you miss your draws ??
James Lourenco thanks ...how much of bank roll should you have to play " correct poker " ...
type in google "NLHE cash game bankroll management for beginners"
Depends on the stakes of the game, my dude.
Why we're their two flops on that one hand king queen suited
We DID see it Polk :D
Why 2x pot the river? As played he's folding all his top pairs, and some two pairs. Whats the point of polarizing so much when your opponents range is capped?
to balance all his overbet river bluffs?
He's calling with those hands very often.
FOOOOOOOOOOOOOLDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Am confused. Ever heard of a value bet? It seems everyone folds when you have the nuts.
But then his shove with bluffs work as well if he is making a small river bet with value hand what does it mean if he shoves likely a bluff so he is balancing it out
1:08 "it sucks haveing the T" does it not also suck haveing the Qd? W/o looking at comments. ...
If this was live, couldn't it have been possible for your opponents to be seeing your every hand?
Jordan Yandeau there is a delay of about 3 minutes on the stream
God's Present people should play really slow when they're playing him
