    can somebody explain me the structure 买好 in 4:04? Why not just 买?

    • @AISEECHATTOPADHYAY
      @AISEECHATTOPADHYAY 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Here, the following sentence structure has been used:-
      verb + 好 (hăo) + 了 (le)
      Biru(比如)For example:-
      1.你做好了吗?Nǐ zuò hǎole ma? Have you done it YET? or Have you done the work SUCCESSFULLY?
      2.你吃好了吗?Nǐ chī hǎole ma? Have you eaten YET? or Have you eaten your food SUCCESSFULLY?
      好 is used before a verb to express success in the work you do.
      Biru(比如):-
      1.
      我做好了 Wǒ zuò hǎole. I have done it successfully. (earlier it was been asked if it was a SUCCESS, now we know that it was a SUCCESS)
      2.我吃好了Wǒ chī hǎole. I have eaten successfully. (Earlier it was been asked if the eating was a SUCCESS, now we know that it was a SUCCESS)
      So, 好 is a COMPLEMENT OF RESULT or a RESULTATIVE COMPLEMENT. It expresses the results of an action(whether its a success or not)
      NOTE:- Using only 买 is not wrong but using 好 after 买 makes your action more clear. Like if you only say 买 then it would express that you just bought it but not whether it was a complete success or that you were CONTENT with your action

    Can you explain the use of mǎihǎo 买好> I know mai means buy and hao means good. In the dictionary maihao means "ingratiate" rather than buy.

    • @NatsumiHam
      @NatsumiHam 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      买 = buy
      好= result complement indicating that the verb/action is already done.
      买好= finished buying/ bought

    Disappointed that he has romanisation instead of Chinese letter, but I guess it is for the learners who are focusing on pinyin.
