  • ⭐ Improve your Chinese through reading Abby's Graded Readers: talktaiwanesemandarin.com/books/
小伊 talks to Abby about his experience with job hunting in Taiwan. They also discuss what their ideal job would be, ridiculous job interviews they’ve had, and problems with Taiwan’s job market. A lot of this episode is just Abby ranting (about the job market) lol 小伊和Abby聊聊他們找工作的經驗、誇張的面試問題、台灣求職環境的問題。不小心變成抱怨職場大會 xD

Hey! I notice there is no excerpt or Chinese synopsis of your books on your site, so there is no way for me to determine which level I am suited for. On amazon, it offered the option of being sent a sample on kindle, but as soon as I login it says the book is not available in my region (Canada). I want to support you and learn Chinese, but I need to know which book I should buy by reading a synopsis or excerpt in Chinese first. Thanks!

Hey! You should be able to find samples of my books on my site. On the book page, scroll down for a bit, you'll see 'Sample' next to 'Details'.

@@TalkTaiwaneseMandarin I'm just reading your sample now. Could you please clarify something for me here or in one of your future vids? It seems like Chinese has no concept of run-ons sentences or sentence fragments. I've noticed this before in Chinese writing and was always confused.
For example, your first few paragraphs in "Lost in Translation" preface: each entire paragraph is one sentence. In English, both first and second paragraph would translate to two sentences minimum. First paragraph could potentially be one sentence, but any teacher/editor would ask the student/writer to revise into two. Second paragraph has to be two sentences, as the last clause therein would constitute a run-on. I am so curious that Chinese sentences could be separated by commas almost indefinitely. Could you please explain, then, when to use comma vs. period in a paragraph?
      Thank you in advance!!!
