Eddie said that he's never met his father. Maybe he's Filipino on his father's side and that his bimbo mother just doesn't know about it.
+LJ I don't know where you're getting that, but Eddie told a story on JRE about his dad coming by once to see if he was still cool with his grandpa. I guess he had some kind of relationship with the old man before and felt bad about leaving his daughter and their kid. In any case, Eddie talked to him briefly at that moment and said he didn't feel the need to ever see him again after that.

Bobby’s advice is often excellent (e.g., don’t be needlessly abrasive in the face of your girlfriend’s parents’ prejudices, don’t tell your parents you’re atheist and just continue to attend religious services). With age comes wisdom with him.
As a child of an addict, I went to AA/NA meeting with my dad a bunch of times and I think it helped me understand what he was going thru.
George is like Creed from the office, doesn't say much but when he does its pure gold XD

Bobby's approach to parenting would blow up into full blown addict in my opinion. you dont cure alcoholism with strictness. My father and grandfather are alcoholics.... my mother helped me not be an alcoholic by confronting me with that truth and allowing me to party with my friends and offering me a safe place to do all that.... once I got it out of my system, i saw that she was way more relatable than my father and I chose out of my own volition to not go down the same path as him. Being strict and telling the kid he cant do something will just cause them to do it behind your back and resent you for it.... and not ahve a safe place to do it and potentially get lost in it.
Try having kids before commenting.

I was just listening to Episode 24 (I think?) of Tiger Belly and Bobby said this story at 11:00 but the there were 2 differences, he said "this was almost 14 years ago" and the other thing is he didn't talk about how he didn't close the deal with her, but how it saddened him or something like that (mostly because he paid for her plane ticket!) lol

Bobby is right about closing the deal. If you try to complain about a deal, if the ink on the contract isn't dry, no one owes you nothing at the end of the day. That's like saying "I have walmart interested in stocking my item." "Do you have a signed contract?" "Uh not yet.." "Then you don't have anything. Anyone can get 'interest,' getting the signature is the hard part'."
