  • Hi loves!!! Thanks for tuning in to another video! I wanted to show you guys how I merge loose hair growing around my loc with my matured loc. I wanted to try a way to combine the hair without using the crochet/ instant loc tool because I didn't want to damage my hair on accident. If you're having issue with that, this video is for you!

    Step 1 wet hair, step two place your oils or twisting product on next. Dry under a hooded dryer, or of your choice, last remove clips and THEN OIL YOUR SCALP last. If you add water, then oil then water you are creating a negative barrier.

    I had a couple of locs that I combined and I used to put a rubber band around them while washing since that’s when my hair tangles the most, and then cut the rubber bands off when retwisting. This really did help them combine within months since I shampoo every 2 weeks.

    • @NaomiOnlae
      @NaomiOnlae  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Oooo that’s a really good idea I’ll have to try this!

    • @laurenlocd3180
      @laurenlocd3180 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did this lol took about two weeks and now I don’t have to wear the rubber band anymore ! It’s literally the easiest way to combine locs . But I don’t do a regular twist I do a rope twist ! It tangles faster when the water hits it .

    I had this problem too and retwisting it sometimes didn't work/ it would take so long for the hair to lock back in. I came across a video on Battny's channel called "How to Fix Loose Hairs in Locs: Loc Help" and the method she uses works perfect for me! So if your hair is stubborn like mine, maybe her method could help you too.
    P.s. Your locs are amazing and are a similar length and thickness as mine so it's like I'm on the same journey as you

  • @NaturallyDOPE0990
    @NaturallyDOPE0990 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    My suggestion would be to interlock just those locs 2-3 times a year. This happens to my hair by my temple area on both sides on my head. I feel like doing a light interlocking session feeds that hair back in the the loc better then any other method.

  • @blexxedemeraldz
    @blexxedemeraldz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    My starter loc twists were done professionally by a braider instead of a loctitian, the woman was kind but She twisted them very tightly, like some pro senagalese twists. When my twists would unravel the 2 strands would be tight coils. I would detangle the coils and retwist them down again, and my hair would be 10x thicker after than tension and tightness was removed. It feels like my hair isn’t really expanding as it should because of that tightness. Like it can look so much thicker and thrive even more, and I would feel really bad if there is something that I can do, yet end up regretting months later. Should I take out all my twists and re do them them looser for them to be thicker? I want my hair to meet its max potential.

    • @NaomiOnlae
      @NaomiOnlae  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oooooo I’m sorry she did them so tight! Not sure if it’s irritating your scalp (they probably are) but you could try to redo your twists. When your hair starts to loc and get frizzy, they will naturally “puff up”. So it’s really up to you, but your hairs should be extremely tight. I hope that helps!!

      They are small beads I sewed on the ends of my locs. I have a video on how I installed them, they are called loc sprinkles!

      Thank you!! They're little beads I got from Hobby Lobby and sewed on the ends of my locs. I have a video called "installing loc sprinkles" where I do a tutorial on how I put them in!
