I’m a little bit of a nerd, and you would think my crush on Gillian comes from X-Files. But in fact, I never noticed her beyond standard actress until I saw her in “The Fall”. She was very seductive on that show the way she carried herself. Now I watch her in everything, crushing on her talent.
I never really watched The X-Files, but I remember noticing her first in something called the house of mirth, and I loved it and loved her in it! Then later, I saw her in the fall and I thought she was wonderful just as you did! Quite an amazing show although very dark! I tried to persuade my best friend to watch it and she sat through a couple episodes and then refused to watch anymore.

Gillian embodies conssumate performer with a similar method to me as Toni Collette who are complete chameleons that work I'm sure so tirelessly to create characters that are fully realized and nuanced with ease that seems to capture you such as silk sliding over your skin and hitting all the right places with each performance...She is the standout in First Ladies though I am also giving my dues to Miss Pheiffer as well (no disrespect to Viola as well), she is able to master accents and mannerisms as if it seeps from her soul! I highly recommend checking out her performance as Margo Channing in the stage production of All About Eve as it is simply remarkable and gives such honor to the film in my eyes...anyways she is SUBLIME in her technique!!

I did not recognize her, but her voice...when I heard her on this interview, I could hear her saying "Otis...." and I realized it was her. She did an amazing job with that character. She was just charming enough, just dotting enough, but also slightly creepy and a little predatory with her clients. She nailed a therapist. So much respect.
