Going to sleep by ten was a game changer for me. Also switching to a plant based diet was instrumental in allowing me to sleep through the night! ~Micki

I DO ALL THAT ALREADY, so good confirmation I HAVE 2 GOOD TIP FOR YOU! If you find you cannot sleep, maybe you are tossing and turning, 1. let it go, in other words, try to appreciate how good your bed feels or how the cat is so soft next to you In other words dont stress about it 2. If you find that you are saying "i cant sleep, or I've got to got to get to sleep, then GET UP," tackle again later or try sleeping in a different area. Namaste thanks

Along with the other health benefits it brings, exercising or being physically active during the day always results in a really smooth, satisfying drift off into sleep in the evening. I never have more trouble falling asleep than if I've been relatively passive and immobile during the day.

I have a past of very bad insomnia and these are good tips :-) Biggest thing that works for me is not to panic when I feel like I'm not falling asleep fast enough, it just gets my adrenalin going and hinders my sleep further! No looking at the time either. Better to stay calm and let your mind wander, and if you can't stop worrying, pop a documentary on (ideally on a screen with a blue light blocker) to help you drift off.

Dr Greger I think, recommends 2 pistacio nuts in evening as they're full of melatonin, they're like natural sleeping pills. I've tried it and do sleep better like that. Also I find if I have main meal at lunch, and a smoothie at about 4 or 5, with pistachios, then nothing else, I sleep better :) Also we had your 2 books delivered, but weren't home and have to wait till after easter to pick them up, oh the torment haha! Big love from NZ :)

Thanks so much--this comes right in time! Another big factor when it comes to sleep is the person you sleep with. Maybe that person is snoring like hell, but you cannot sleep without that person either. Maybe that person has absolutely no self discipline, has to get up early, but wants to stay up watching TV, doing stuff at the smartphone... It's even harder to get good sleep.

Blackout curtains are a good tip as light leakage is an important factor in getting good sleep. But I actually leave only a sheer curtain (don't have much light pollution anyway) because it makes it easier for you to wake up in the morning, which a lot of people have trouble with. There is actually a spot in your brain receptive to light that comes in through your eye and is involved in maintenance of your circadian rhythm (this is not the same neural pathway or process as how we normally think about vision). It helps signal to the body that it's time to wake up! :) Love all the videos guys!!

      I’ve noticed this!

Exercise, especially swimming during the day, helps a lot with sleep. Also, here is a tip that nobody talks about: in cold climates use an electric blanket. Turn it up to high a half hour before bed, then turn it off when you get in. That way you feel super cozy and comfortable, but the temperature gradually decreases and you gradually drift off to sleep.

So true what they say about lions. Lions are alarming creatures. Lions are very large and take up an enormous area in bed, especially the way their legs stick out. Also, lions have an embarrassment of long and pointy teeth and claws which can really interfere with a peaceful sleep, especially if your lion bedmate is prone to night terrors. Sleep well. Avoid lions.

I personally hate the extension cords with the lights- companies are adding the red (or blue, or green) lights to it and you can't turn them off. I can't sleep when there is even a tiny bit of light. I am taping some black cardboard to any light we have in the bedroom.
