Those people spoke nonsense they are using racial blackmail, why would I invest in a brand that was established last year that has Gucci prices without asking questions
I think Eugene is trying to show us how emotional most black people are when it comes to race, which is another topic all together, I think he is the necessary shock👌🏽
Very true. The fact we haven't gotten over this apartheid mentality really shows that we have some growing up to do and shift the mindset to bigger issues like , educating ourselves about our cultures and traditions which is the only thing we can really blame the whites for otherwise this is a game and white peoples beat us fair and square by cultivating their cultures and beliefs and themselves as whole . Now things are changing blacks have the stage now but we focused on nonsense which is driving us to shit , So they still winning at Game of life and I am not Mad at them they playing it well .
What's profound is that most watched this show because of Eugene, whether you like him or not you will even mention him in discussions. Now that IMPACT 🔥👌🏾
I like the fact that Zola kept quiet for a good moment to listen , and he asked questions more than speaking . He actually steered the conversation when it was getting off track. Sometimes one has to be quiet and not try hard to be smart , it’s a maturity thing for him he brought an element of maturity. I understood Zola and Gerald. they made more sense based on the different stages of life experience which touched on why they do what they do which is impact, generational wealth , family and community of people who add to their growth which is holistic in a business sense more than the aspect of just being a brand which makes money. But each person brought in thought provoking points which somehow made you tune in more.
And ,"Encouraging support for black-owned businesses is crucial for community empowerment. However, it's equally important for any business, regardless of ownership, to maintain transparency about their products and procurement processes. Just as companies like Apple provide information to customers, transparent practices in black-owned businesses can further strengthen trust and accountability within our community."
The same apple that exploits cobalt mine workers to manufacture their products, is it part of the procurement process or do they even account for this slaveness or exploration of workers..
You know what I loved most about this episode the intelligent & smart brain is listening & observing both side without a single word, wait until he interact & respond 🤔🤔🤔
Eugene is smart he can manipulate people to go deeper. 😂 Even for me to recognise him. I never knew the face or who he was but today I can recognise the face. Well played.
I don't think Sibu was hearing or understanding what was being said during the 'token black' part of the conversation, yet I also understand and absolutely appreciate her take on that topic. Two things can truly be right at the same time.
True, I would support the quality of your product as a Black entrepreneur with my money. However, my support is based on the merit of the product, not solely because of your race. Quality matters, and if your product meets the standards, I won't question the pricing.
I think she was, Age, experience and wisdom was her barrier,,, she is very smart and I absolutely looove her. She has a good head on her shoulders, she will experience all that was said and only then will this conversation be clearer for her. She reminds me so much of my small siblings... they think they have the world and the system figured out becasue of the surfuce level they are exposed to, because of books/theory and tedtalks... you need not be impatient when engaging with these ones. Give them time to catch up... still, a brilliant girl for her age,
With all said and done, Mina ngicela imatric dance kuZola. I like his active listening skills . Mzolisto!!!!!!!!! Umuntu , umuntu ngabantu ... .... Sibu is giving individualism whilst Zola is for ubuntu.
The guy in a suit is so emotional and wonder how he get to be part of such robust discussion. Love the lady articulation of every point and as for Eugene violence is his name nje and love it for the discussion not for reality.
It's my very first time watching this podcast, am still keen to see a black business person who would purely assist/mentor an entrepreneur who sicks funds or networking with the right people in the industry. It's very sad because it's either your business idea is stolen or you need to share royalties.
What Eugene failed to say: I want to know your story IF you want me to support you BASED ON BLACKNESS. If you're just selling a brand, then I don't need to know anything... but if you're claiming pro-black, then show your black credentials... ...just as vegan or green products must prove their credentials.
When you buy Nike, Puma, Reebok, Kappa, etc., you have decades of creditability, success, innovation, technology development, it's a know brand globally. You can't start a brand today and expert to price the same as established brands and yet won't give us the quality, the design, and price point fitting to compare to them. At least tell us the truth about the product and what you are really selling. An example is like MaXhosa, that's an authentic and high quality product deserving of the price. The product does the talking and keeps getting better, you can identify a MaXhosa item. Branding a foreign design not made locally, you can't charge me premium. That's just a branding be honest and charge a fair price.
I would beg to differ om the nikey brand honesty thing my friend. Because as Gerald said, would it have been established if it disclosed that it was using slave labour to put out its products? Can we not argue the gave us aesthetics, beautiful aesthetics of what we want and nothing else...
@@thobilematebesi-nk2bu Most clothing brands have slave labour's especially clothing brands that most of us wear and even when the brand tries not to use slave labour's it's hard because many textile an accessories are made by them so you indirectly support it. So Most big brands in Sa shouldn't be established using this logic. What would you wear, where you get food and where will you get services
So I didn’t understand the statement. I understand where Eugene was going with his statement. Cause if sibu gets absorbed will she still have control of the company as per her vision for the business she owns
Now i see why he spoke about Skomota, he was directing traffic this side. Because I never knew this guy until he spoke about skomota. And now been seeing bits and pieces of this podcast, i had to come see. Lol
Victimhood mentality and entitlement is black people's kryptonite. Success is achieved despite challenges...this thing of wanting society to be conducive to our dreams is killing us.
@@keigh-otic8034 there is no sane person who is responsible with money who just buys things without asking questions, that is just stupid, we can't be emotionally blackmailed to support businesses which have zero reputation and then compare it to a multibillion dollar company that has been around for decaades

I love it when people are put in their place😂
I love how Zola is quiet for the first half of the show, and soon as he opens his mind it's a spark of genius,
Wow really?
I've been waiting eagerly to view the "spark of genius" which part was it for u, let's convers I'm curious
I think Eugene is trying to show us how emotional most black people are when it comes to race, which is another topic all together, I think he is the necessary shock👌🏽
I think he is a moron! do you ask Sasko or Albany how they make the bread. Clever blacks are a problem.
He does have a serious case of colonial mentality to be honest, some black people look down on black people and just treat white people like Kings

These conversations will be very important for the next generation.

Eugene is an agent of chaos and I love it, he is making us think hard
I really liked the example about politicians Gerald made
But he is saying nothing that Gerald guy. He has no valuable insights, really. Contradiction is all I got from him

Eugene is the revamped Nota of black success scrutiny😂😂😂 the guy is chaotic with a high IQ
High IQ?
The bar is so low such that any individual who can articulate a sentence is deemed to possess a high IQ. Pathetic!
Gerald said it...work the system bcoz changing it has consequences Amen!
I like Eugene. Thought provoking and just because he disagree does not mean his not in agreement but justify

Eugene is those noisy guys who think they are smart but when you think well you realise that they talk absolute nonsense.
True
He's not
He just likes arguments for no reason
So Zola was only there to listen?
Abuti Zola is was just there to observe the conversation 😅

I agree with his stupid arguments

No Eugen is right you can’t bring someone who bad reputation on your business
And 2 they don’t let him make his point they keep disturbing
Both Eugene and this other guy were screaming, no facts were coming out. Listen to Shiba and Zola❤🤞
Sibu is way smarter than Eugene. Eugene is just a loudmouth with an EFF Spokesperson personality 🤞🏽
