Here's a tip for anyone starting fresh. Unless you're setting up a long-time kit that's been the same forever, pack things a little tighter rather than spreading them out to fill the case. At least for me, I always end up wanting to add things later as I get used to a workflow, and if you spread everything out then you have to start getting really creative with how things fit. If you leave a spot for future, it makes things so much easier.
I found it easy to trace out my items and then use a hot but not too hot soldering iron to easily score out my foam about 20mm then use a scalpel to cut the rest of the way through. There will be some nasty fumes so do it in a well ventilated area and use a mask. It's a simple and efficient way.
Yeah honestly it was great- had a ton of pricey equipment in here and wasn’t worried. For the shark-Bonk it over the head with this case is the first step!
Why did oyu not jsut put your lens hoods on the lenses? - find it a little strange that you made a separate section for them? - the lens hoods on the lenses would have made it a bit tidier and also offer protection to the lens and allow you to use the space for something else?.. looks good though and all in all you made a good job as the foam is SO fiddly...
Thanks! Yeah in hindsight probably would have adjusted, just don't use the hoods too often with my cameras, so ended up using that space for other stuff anyway! Appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for watching! Let me know if you have questions about plucking and pulling the foam in your case!
Thanks for sharing some tips. This is a very helpful video and I appreciate it.
Thanks! Good to hear!
that's a nice and sturdy case! and definitely looking forward to your underwater vlog to show how to kill a shark with it!

@@PaulMcGovernJr 😁😁and the amazing thing is, the equipment won't hurt at all after the bonk!
@@dannychen1064 Boom! The perfection of the Pelican 1510!
Thanks for this man.
💪💪
Can you use these for fishing equipment? May get one for a family member.
Yeah, could use it for anything really. It’s a great case! Very durable
Very cool.
I have a 1535 and recently I got a 1510 to carry the gear I will take with me. And not my entire camera load lol
Great for multiple uses!
I don’t have this case I just have foam and I don’t have a bottom for it after I take out the rectangular cubes, what should I do?
What are you using the foam for?

Foam party! Oh, that's something different; ask Michael.
😂
What is the minimum number of cubic foam rows you need between two objects?
I would try and leave at least 2, maybe 3. If you leave 1 row it’ll break, and even 2 can be a little weak…but 2 is manageable.
Can I put my cat in there?
What kind of cat?
@@PaulMcGovernJr Perfect answer, sir. Kudos.
Trekpak. Forget foam
Shame on you dude. I see you abandoned your Missus since she buggered your foam edge. Sorry Rachael, Paul made it about you.
Lol - I take my foam very seriously.
I would have probably been kind of a dick and then would feel bad about it later.
