Some corrections Sir. 1. You need to use a serviette under the serving container 2. You need to have your left leg towards the guest 3. Always serve the food item that is furtherest away from the guest first moving towards the closest. With this the guest always sees a full serving plate. You used a serviette to serve the rice but not the starter. Don't mind me telling you this.
And more: dont put your thum in the service container guest will not like it
Go get yourself a job at London Savoy ...... then get back to me with a new set of rules. ( I can not be doing with people trying to out smart others)
When serving, keep your right hand away from the neck of the guest.
Because the guest has to remove his neck at the time of service.

Sir bcoz sometimes bcoz of groups we can't serve from lefthand side ..
At that time you follow break the rules
Then you can serve from the right hand side but try to be away from the guest as this will give you better movement of yourself.

Sir i have some questions. Let us imagine the exact situation that u have shown. But what if the left seat is occupied? Wouldn’t it be difficult to serve in that case? Nd then how r we gonna serve the guest on the left side? Its the wall that’ll be blocking the way. In that case aren’t we bound to serve from the right side?

Great Work..Using Service Cloth Underneath the bamboo platter holding by the base of the plate with The First Course needs to be looked at .Serving Rice using service fork and spoon is an old school method which has now turned to 2 service forks that offers larger quantity of rice picked up ..Secondly silver service is not only about platter to food but also use of sterling silverware including platters ....expensive dining .
