    Really informative and useful video. It's hilarious to think of servers trying to serve food without plates in front of the guests 😂

    I've been an "SS" 😮😂, Silver Service, and BB or a Business Butler in London City, and I worked top London agencies 80 and 90s. Love the work, gave me entry to Palaces, Royals ( Princess Di and most of the Royal family, Queens mother at the Royal Albert Hall. Lots and lots of functions top Halls including the Mayer of London nd the the Ex Prime minister Margaret Thatcher . Also worked in the QE2 cruise liner. Had a colleague pouring hot soup at an important lady 😢 , accidents happens but in this case, she was new and nervous to be in a high profile event. I do miss those times. I have been at a number of shows, including Pavarotti at the High Park, Di and Prince Charles, todays King as guests. So many memories I take with me,

    8.13am enjoyed your video but as a silver service waitress for 25yrs you missed the very first thing you should have told the server which is how to fold their service cloth under their flat to stop them burning their own arm before flat goes on their arm

      Good point. I did mention the cloth but I did not show how to fold it. I will need to make another video. Thank you

      It is 100% real I promise you. If you would like to look up the house it is called Candacraig.

    Maybe it’s because im in America but we serve from the left with the left, this is what we call back handing. Just how i was taught

      Yes lots of people in the UK are trained in this American style. It is also good I just personally prefer this way but the difference is very small. Thank you for watching

    Nicely done. But I think it is okay to ask the guest how much they want to be served by saying "Please guide me." just before you start serving the food. you are not shouting it out, but even if the guest is in conversation, they will hear it & hopefully comply. Or just serve according to the Chefs recommendation.

      Thank you. I agree you could normally just ask. I am just teaching what the traditional way of doing it is. 🙂

    Wouldn't two spoons facing either other be better than a spoon and a fork?

    • @RossetBespokeButlers
      @RossetBespokeButlers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. You can use two spoons but it has much less control than a spoon and a fork. The tines of the fork help you grip what you are serving.

    I can imagine food slipping or rolling off the tray when trying to serve. 😅

    I’ve never understood why someone would want to dedicate their life to serving the spoiled rich people that are poisoning our world

      How to say you're poor without saying you're poor.

    • @RossetBespokeButlers
      @RossetBespokeButlers  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      It's an interesting question but if you use: Apple, Google, Ford, BP, Amazon, Tesla or any big corporation you are giving money to the rich. The big difference is the rich are giving their money to me.
