I saw someone do a similar video but they didn't have the lines overlapping. I used to operate electron microscopes and oscilloscopes so I guess it is similar to that. I have been learning shader coding since I started this series and it makes use of those concepts too. I just wish it could be a little more automated.
Very interesting, but I really wish there was some beginner's tutorial on just the basics of procedural textures... As the filter for getting that initial purple line is already set up newbies to the topic like me probably will not have a single clue as to how to make a start from scratch and actually understand what's going on. Any recommendations for where to look for the real basics of all this?
@@plasmaportl Ah, cool! Thank you very much - seems I hadn't noticed this. I'm sure it will be very helpful. While still working mostly in Photoshop back in the day I've always found it quite fascinating to experiment with unusual textures and different ways to create them. I guess Affinity's Procedural Textures will add an interesting angle to it.
difficulty high, excellent , thanks
Thanks, it is a bit tedious but has a nice result.
genius level !!! just curious what's your background for coming up with these ideas ? shader coding, analog video processing .... ?

I tried to make a playlist starting with simple concepts: th-cam.com/play/PLPTJk1HIMN35WOCDXnoUB-l2_YVgJ8rHK.html

@@moreorlesslikeso The procedural textures seem to be based on graphics shaders and shader languages.
