Morning sun, and then shade... I just moved mine and put it in a huge terracota pot on my porch. I hope mine rebounds. The buds all burnt in the hot sun, and left the leaves crispy brown. I need to coddle this plant and hope it will.grow beautiful green foliage.

Ah. Explains why my bud burnt. I have it at West facing window sill with afternoon sun. I moved it away from the window a bit if that doesn't help I'll move it to a soytg facing morning sun location. Thanks so much
Mine is doing fine I believe,its still deep green & glossy.I have north facing window & my plant is right by the window all day. My prob is,its not blooming...but I just bought some grow lights so things might improve 🙂🍀🌱☘
Try gardenia fertilizer
It may no bloom because it is by a north facing window and it doesn't get any sunshine at all.. and quite often sunshine is needed for flowering plants.

BPLH they are very neat and tidy. Easy to keep bushy. Prune after flowering

Hi, I am from India, Kolkata to be precise. In summer the temparature reaches 38° C to 40 ° C. I have a small one, bought a few months back, kept in a place where it gets only the morning sun and it blooms regularly. But my big plant, bought two years back, was kept in the open, under the blazing sun and ever since I purchased it, I didn't have a single flower, and all the buds used to turn brown and drop off. Now I know the reason. I have shifted it already. Thank you so much.

I bought a potted gardenia plant about 2 months ago..it had a couple of buds..now it had lots of buds..but they havent opened..they are nice and fat..but dont open..how long do the buds take to open?
