That stripe package on the bronco is factory, they called em chromatic stripes and they were reflective. They’ve gotten more and more popular recently and have gone absolutely through the roof in price.
It's possible the 460 is stock and the paint scheme is a rare package deal from a company back in the day they took a certain amount of them years and did them paint schemes on them they call then sandbox paint jobs or something like that...that dude that had his bed blow up has a good video about the paint jobs on them old Ford's his channel is called Ford era
That long Bonneville at the 26:00ish mark is an airport car. Some of them came even longer then that one and had 6 doors. Basically a bare bones limo for chartering a small bus load of fancy folks from one flight to the next.
Good for you for saving it, used to see tons of them in the 70s and 80s. My uncle owned a navy blue 1978 Mercury Monarch. Although, the Granadas and Monarchs were true shitboxes...They always had garbage running issues like faulty carburetors. The GM and Mopar offerings were better built. The Aspen and Volare also trash, but the Lebaron and Diplomat fared better in reliability.
Was waiting as well. My grandmother drove a Ford Granada in Florida when I was a kid. Even as a little kid I thought it was a boring car.. but it has a lot to offer years later
That Elgin street sweeper was built about half an hour from where I grew up by my ex-father-in-law's shop the factory is really cool where they build them. As always another great episode thank you.
You two are awesome together…Ole’ Slick is getting more comfortable every day…we need a Slick T-shirt!! Hate seeing all that history just rotting away…thanks for saving what you can.
21:31 my grandma used to take me to school in her four door biscayne. i think it was a 1964. the year was 1985 maybe. grandma was 73 years old and i was 12 years old. i don't know how long she owned that car though. maybe 10 or more years because it's the first car i ever knew she owned. later she got a 1980 something Volvo.
I am so happy to see a Granada I am convinced they are 98.5% extinct, I had a 78 as well in a wonderful shade of baby poo green... matching interior also lol as my high school car back in 08-09 slower than dirt & couldn't get out of its own way but damn the memories I hold dear to my heart because of that car.
My grandfather had a green 1975 4 door Mercury Monarch and my aunt had a 1977 Mercury Monarch 2 door just like this one but hers was black and silver two tone. Bringing me back to my childhood here today.
I was there watching when the tire blew up on Ford Era’s F-150. It was awesome. Bad day for him, fun day for us. He did win the contest though. Love the junkyard videos. Thanks for putting out good content every week!
Congratulations on saving another one from the crusher you the man I don't care what Mr M repair says about you you you keep on doing what you're doing while he's stuck in a snow bank and North Dakota
I've been drooling over that turbo coupe in all the junk yard videos. That was the car i dreamed about in high school. I really hope you pull the trigger on a turbod 2.3 for a box truck!
Those 59 Buicks would be awesome to get back on the road. The pass or buy segment was hilarious 😂 Can't wait to see what you do with that T-bird. Have a great 2023 Puddin'! I'm looking forward to the new content.
I Love it when Puddin starts off with a rhyme. He's a Pott County legend and a man of the times. Dining alfresco, Tube-steaks and sticks, "Ron-Day-Voo" @ the junkyard with Puddin & Slick. 💙Nice one guys 🙋♂
You had me at the Sweet looking bronco. with all that sweet trim on it. dam Tip, if you're doing will it run (ON THE FORD) fails to light off, the Neutral safety like to corrode contacts, run thru the gears few times, cleans up contacts. but factory AIR, after further Viewing, Not A/c no vents in dash, but not 100% on my knowledge, if those are I want those parts to convert my 79 to AIR> that CB might be the Factory Option. Nice to Have. dam luv the ford Walk thru.
The truck you were talking about from Instagram was actually at Ford fest in bowling Green Kentucky 2022 and I was in the grandstands when it happened it had a Godzilla motor under the hood it was epic
The guy that owns that truck has a You Tube channel called Ford Era. He recently bought a huge warehouse and yard full of Ford trucks and has some really rare ones. He has like 3 70's era 4 door Broncos from Brazil and Mexico that are pretty cool and a 72 F250 called Gold Dust with a Cummins I beleive that is badass. Check out his channel to find his videos..
I feel ya. There is something peaceful about a junkyard. I worked at one for years, and I used to love just going and walking the yard from time to time when I needed to relax.
You guys get together and get to giggling like a couple of school girls. I love it! It's nice to see true friends having a good time. We need more positive in our lives. Puddin some people can't fake being good people. You can't hide it!
That Duraspark connector switches wire colors on my 82, too! First time I saw it I was seriously doubting my sanity. Glad you pointed that out, the same 8-pin connector was totally rotten out, too lmao
A friend of mine bought a brand new 75 Granada back in the day. He hated driving and would always call me to chauffeur him around. Now I was no Ford person by no means, back that Granada was one sweet car. It drove so good, we always took that sweetheart when taking fer away trips.
I feel your pain, brother. But think about it, PUDDIN CAUSES SOME OF THAT PAIN GETTIN US ENTERTAINED......I FOR ONE , WANT THAT PAIN TO NEVER END......
I am really liking that Ford Granada you guys recovered. Are we going to see more on this car or is it going away somewhere else. I liked these when they were new, and they have come full circle and I now like them again. Especially ones like this that are still in one piece and fairly easily refurbish-able to driver status.
I had that car well one just like it. Rebuilt the 302 out of a rusted out stang cleaned out and installed a 9 inch had in the pile and that Grenada ran over 3 years. Memories, good vid love the walk arounds.
I've been watching your channel for a while now, my son's got me into now I never miss a episode. My oldest son was born in 91 as well, my youngest is 25. They are my best friends. My Dad was a mechanic . I grew up helping him. So I really enjoy watching you. Hope you have a great and prosperous new year. God bless you and your family
Couple observations on the Granada. The single round gas cap makes me think it’s 76 or later (75 had a full trim piece across the back). Secondly, my 75 Granada had a piston style AC compressor, that one appears to have an early GM style rotary compressor?
Amen brother! From Okie to Okie, I'm 36 my woman is 38 good age difference there. She knows what she's about and so do I.. Yall seem like good Okie folk. Thats why I keep coming back brother. Keep it up! Im a glasses wearin tinkerin, workin, ridin, drivin Okie from East Central Oklahoma.. Love the junkyard videos man.
I'd have sworn I saw a '72 Grand Prix in the preview tile but it never showed up on the footage. That was a mean looking ride, especially in the jet black with the old refrigerator style door handles and two big old headlights...Glad to see you haven't lost your touch wit these rides!
Dude your 100% it for us through these holidays. I for one would like you to know it means a great deal to me. You know because I was home for a we4k and a half and if I watch another rerun of 2 and 1/2 MEN I'm gonna have to go start a sober bar fight.
Back in High school Sophmore year 1976, Mom Came home witha brand new 1976 Granada 302 3 Speed on the floor. and it was a 4 door. Those were the days. First video of yours I have watched.Found you from Vice Grip Garage. keep em coming.
I bought a Granada several years ago to flip and I dang near did just that! The gear in the steering box broke as I was pulling out onto the highway and instead of turning it went straight and hopped a curb and almost went through the city building! 😂 I never wanted another one after that! Thanks for bringing that memory back with this video. 😁👍
I had an 87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, 2.3 lt Turbo. May be my 2nd most missed car I have ever owned. Looked almost that color, but had more of a charcoal grey look.
My dad traded our 68 Impala wagon for a 72 Chevy suburban... With 5 kids it was a welcome relief.. Never did understand the 3 doors instead of 4 tho... But it was a damn good rig . The nxt rig we got was a new 77 suburban .. It was a huge step up from from the 72.. It had power everything & a.c. Love the old junk yard tours
My husband and I absolutely love watching your videos. Glad you had a fun day with Slick Fitty and the cookout was enjoyable to watch. Hope you and the Family had a Wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year. Can't wait to see what Blessings 2023 has in store for you with the new shop. Blessings to you and yours.
I had a 78 Granada when I was going to engineering school. 200CI straight sixer with an automatic. It was at least two different colors, and the doors sagged so badly that when you got in, you had to pull up harder than you pulled in. It had some form of lunacy in the power steering system that bound up so hard that when it broke loose the steering wheel spun like two full rotations. Like Uncle Buck. After that, it was full brute strength steering. :) The body just fell apart on that old girl. The driveline was still purring like a kitten when we scrapped it.
My old Shovelhead Chopper ran a magneto and an old timer told me to cut the tip of a tampon off and put that under the cap. It's the "mag on the rag" trick to soak up any condensation that could keep the bike from firing up.
Puddin you may be riding the struggle bus for content with all you have going on but we all enjoy everything you put out and look forward to every video. Definitely nailed it with GREAT content on this one. Thank you from coweta!!!
Always cool to see the junkyard tours! I can't believe that white Ford pickup is getting crushed, not a spot of rust anywhere. Some good stuff there, everything up my way is rusty junk.
A buddy of mine had 3 Eagles. He took one of them and put a huge lift kit in it, put 36 inch tires on it, and put a gigantic winch in the front. That thing was bad ass.
Right on. I'm happy to see this. I know yesterday was a weird one, what with it being seen as a holiday to everybody but the folks that HAD to work. Thanks for the content, Puddin. I hope everybody's doin alright and having a good one. 🤙🏽
The four door Chevy at the 10:00 minute mark and Scout loaded with body panels after that came from Silas Manche on the Adventures Made from Scratch TH-cam channel from his yard in Hutchinson Kansas, surprised the Scout made it that intact! (the straps helped I'm sure!)
Had a ford granada back in the 80's. My friends called it a grenade. Eaton up by lack of oil changes and illinois salt. The left B-pillar was rusted away at the rocker panel, so the driver door did not close some times. scary car to take on road trips. I blew the engine one night driving back from the U of I. Put a 302 in it. Then the 302 had a burnt valve so I put the heads from the 351W on the 302. Worked like a champ. "good" memories.
That Jeeps got more teeth than 7/8th of Pott County!
LMFAO, 😂DAMN THAT'S A GOOD ONE, PET LORD DUFF FOR ME, SIR.
This was suggested to me while listening to the song “Dupe - Gangsta Lyric” 😉😉
That stripe package on the bronco is factory, they called em chromatic stripes and they were reflective. They’ve gotten more and more popular recently and have gone absolutely through the roof in price.
Free wheelin package
nice 460 swap in that bronco
Yes they are good ones.rare in certain areas I'm hearing.gas monkey just found one ultra rare package just like it.
@@kodymathis1142 I see thanks 👍😎. Love to see this on road again.
That bronco had the freewheeling package that’s why it had those sweet stripes.
Yes, those Broncos are factory. My uncle had one when I was a kid. You don’t see them anymore If I were you, I would get that one !!
That long Bonneville at the 26:00ish mark is an airport car. Some of them came even longer then that one and had 6 doors. Basically a bare bones limo for chartering a small bus load of fancy folks from one flight to the next.
I am going to guess it was a family car. An airport car wold have had more seats.
@@mexicanspec it looked like bullet proof glass to me. Maybe Imwrong.
Every time I watch your intro, I am so glad you didn't bust your head on that tailgate when you slipped on the ice/snow.
That Granada is worth saving! She's nice!
And the G bodies are going for a big chunk of $$ also .. Everything is insanely pricey now days
@@dragineeztoo61 I've always liked them and the fancier version "Lincoln Versailles" Spell check? Well, you know what I'm talkin bout!

Yes sir I agree lol
I was Jonesing for Puddin' last evening. Thankfully I have Puddin for dessert tonight.
Was waiting as well. My grandmother drove a Ford Granada in Florida when I was a kid. Even as a little kid I thought it was a boring car.. but it has a lot to offer years later
Hey puddin! Sorry for that DATSUN! R.i.P ol Roy! Yup, named it ol Roy after my dog food lol...
5:46 Those were called the Free Wheeler package iirc
I had a 1977 Granada with a 250 inch 6 & a 4-speed. Loved that car but it was evil in snow.
That Elgin street sweeper was built about half an hour from where I grew up by my ex-father-in-law's shop the factory is really cool where they build them. As always another great episode thank you.

That Bronco is factory paint scheme. Another great video.
yep, that was the "free wheelin" package, they made a truck, pinto wagon and a econoline van version as well.

Putting in the work.
My grandfather had a green 1975 4 door Mercury Monarch and my aunt had a 1977 Mercury Monarch 2 door just like this one but hers was black and silver two tone. Bringing me back to my childhood here today.
