They gave us piles of great artists, music, movies and what NOT!!
      But seriously. it wouldn't be bad. America is more free, less judgemental towards quirky people. You can do whatever you like, dress whatever you like, no one will complain.

    I want to leave! Now! And I will not read and listen to any of reasons to stay in! For example:
    REASONS WHY BRITAIN’S FUTURE IS IN THE EU
    1. Jobs
    Around 3.5 million British jobs are directly linked
    to British membership of the European Union’s single market - 1 in 10
    British jobs.
    2. Exports & investment
    The EU buys over 50 per cent of UK exports (54 per cent of goods, 40 per cent of services).
    Over 300,000 British companies and 74 per cent of British exporters operate in other EU markets.
    American and Asian EU firms build factories in Britain because it is in the single market.
    3. Trade
    The EU negotiates trade agreements with the rest of the world.
    Outside the EU Britain would have to renegotiate trade deals alone.
    While the EU is the world’s largest market, a UK outside the EU would
    not be a high priority for other counties to negotiate a trade deal.
    4. Consumer clout
    British families enjoy lower mobile phone roaming charges, lower
    credit card fees, cheaper flights and proper compensation when flights
    are delayed or cancelled. These sorts of benefits could not be achieved
    by Britain alone.
    5. Clean environment
    Through commonly agreed EU standards, national Governments have
    achieved improvements to the quality of air, rivers and beaches. Good
    for Britain and good for Britons holidaying or living abroad!
    6. Power to curb the multinationals
    The EU has taken on multinational giants like Microsoft, Samsung and
    Toshiba for unfair competition. The UK would not be able to do this
    alone.
    7. Freedom to work and study abroad - and easy travel
    1.4 million British people live abroad in the EU. More than 14,500 UK
    students took part in the European Union’s Erasmus student exchange
    scheme in 2012-13. Driving licences issued in the UK are valid
    throughout the EU.
    8. Peace and democracy
    The EU has helped secure peace among previously warring western
    European nations. It helped to consolidate democracy in Spain, Portugal,
    Greece and former Soviet bloc countries and helped preserve peace in
    the Balkans since the end of the Balkans War. With the UN it now plays a
    leading role in conflict prevention, peacekeeping and democracy
    building.
    9. Equal pay and non-discrimination
    Equal pay for men and women is enshrined in EU law, as are bans on
    discrimination by age, race or sexual orientation. This benefits Britain
    and British people who live in other EU countries.
    10. Influence in the world
    As 28 democracies, and as the world’s biggest market, we are strong when we work together.
    Britain
    is represented in many international organisations in joint EU
    delegations - giving Britain more influence than it would have alone.
    The EU has played a major role in climate, world trade and development.
    11. Cutting red tape
    Common rules for the common market make it unnecessary to have 28 sets of national regulations.
    12. Fighting crime
    The European Arrest Warrant replaced long extradition procedures and
    enables the UK to extradite criminals wanted in other EU countries, and
    bring to justice criminals wanted in the UK who are hiding in other EU
    countries.
    Eurojust helps UK authorities work with other EU countries’ to tackle
    international organised crime such as drug smuggling, people
    trafficking and money laundering.
    ...and one bonus...
    13. Research funding
    The UK is the second largest beneficiary of EU research funds, and
    the British Government expects future EU research funding to constitute a
    vital source of income for our world-leading universities and
    companies.
    It is nothing but your future, dudes!

    The comments here indicate that the Brexit was indeed anti-establishment, lower class vote. Very interesting.

    • @donkgated8074
      @donkgated8074 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm guessing Brexiters are mostly uneducated, unemployed and/or work in low-paying jobs. As such, they have nothing to lose by changing the system. If the new system fails, so be it - it's the so-called establishment that will suffer. That means more comrades will be as miserable as these Brexiters are, and that is surely satisfying.

    • @MrQuaxquax
      @MrQuaxquax 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The smarter ones in the establishment will always do fine. Just talked to one who was against the Brexit, but profited from it handsomely by shorting the pound and piling into Bitcoins before the vote.

    • @alexsmba

      So pro establishment equals higher intelligence in your mind. Who told you that? Let me guess, the establishment. :)

    • @MrQuaxquax
      @MrQuaxquax 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try to re-read my statement. I am not a native speaker, but I think it is clear that if one refers to the smarter ones in any group, it implies that there are also the not so smart ones in the same category. To spell it out: There will have been many in the UK establishment who have been blind-sided by the Brexit, it just so happened that I came accross a UK investor who happened to be very wealthy and very smart.

    • @alexsmba
      @alexsmba 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok cool, I understand. My opinion is that the establishment's main concerns are to protect those who are part of it, or who are invited to be part of it through their power, wealth, and connections. The elite, rather than the people. Power seems to be fairer when it is spread across many people, rather than just a few having all the power.

    So, we voted to leave the largest trading union in the world and not only that, we were one of the Big 3 along with France and Germany. Of course, this would be fine if we still had the British Empire and this was 1900 and we were the biggest economy in the world, but no, we're not. Even California's economy is bigger than ours.
    Soon our industries will start to slow down as it takes longer for our exports to cross into Europe. Fuel prices will soar as the pound dives once we actually leave for good. Prices in the shops will go up. Holidays abroad will cost more no matter where you go as the pound will be worthless. People travelling to Europe will now have to queue at the airport for passport checks just like the rest of the world. Farmers will lose the CAP subsidies. The Farmer's Union strongly advised their members to vote remain but most farmers voted to leave. Now they're all bleating on that they don't know how they will survive. Tough shit wankers, you voted to leave. The promised £350 million per week is apparently now not going to materialise, big surprise there. Nigel Farage has trashed the country with his bullshit rhetoric and then completely left the scene of the crime. Oh, but wait, he is still going to collect his £89,000 per year pension from the European Parliament. The reason we still haven't got a deal out of Europe is that we want to keep all the benefits we had when we were in Europe. Well tough fucking shit. We're not that important anymore. We're going to have to trade with Canada and Australia where all our goods will come by ship and take weeks to get here. We're going to have to trade with India but they hold all the cards. We're going to have to trade with third world countries in Africa. A lot of business there, not.
    This was all stirred up because of immigration but guess what.... The very farmers who voted to leave are now griping that they won't be able to get cheap labour to work in their fields and they can't afford to pay the basic minimum wage to British people to do the jobs.
    The NHS is saying that there will be a massive shortfall of nurses and doctors now that the influx from Europe will stop. All the jobs the lazy Brits won't do are going to run out of people.
    All those clever morons who voted to leave still don't see how fucked we're going to be. Well some do. They reckon if we re-ran the referendum now it would be 70% to 30% in favour of remain.
    Also we stuffed our children who'd never known anything except being part of Europe. All the old people who voted to leave will all be dead in 20 years leaving the rest of us to pick up the pieces.
    Farage said, thinking that the vote would go against him, that if it was close they should have another referendum, but suddenly he wins by the narrowest of margins and he forgets all about it.
    We're stuffed and all the shortsighted arseholes that voted to leave will soon find that decision catching up with them. Well, we all will. For what? We're not a superpower any more. We have no Empire. We're going to be out in the cold and completely bollocksed.

    • @fredpearson5204
      @fredpearson5204 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really? Why? How does being in the EU make them stronger? Certainly not militarily, as they're already a member of NATO. Are Switzerland and Norway weak because they're not in the EU? How is it Greece is such a failure AND is in the EU? Brexit wasn't stupid--the right to self determination, self government, individual sovereignty and independence are NEVER bad ideas. Globalization, particularly in the area of immigration, has been a failure and subordinates the individual interests of any nation to the collective.

Seems to me, if you want to be accurate, the older generation that voted to put them in is in league with even younger generations that now voted the UK out. If the EU is so great, why did Greece fail? The success or failure of ANY state can't be tied to the EU. Why then wouldn't you want to be completely sovereign, self determining and independent? Unless, of course, you like being dictated to by a big government, largely unelected by you, that subordinates your country's best interests to the interests of the collective? But then again, I guess that worked in the Soviet Union, huh?

      I don't know what country you're from (I would be interested to know), but I am not hateful towards any country, nor are the majority of those who voted Leave. The EU had been treated us badly for far too long and we got fed up of it. But it's not just Britain. So many countries in the EU are being abused by Juncker and his cronies. I want to see Europe as a group of sovereign, independent nation states being friendly together and trading together, but having our own borders and ruling ourselves. Let's get rid of the flag, the anthem, Brussels and all that has gone wrong.

    • @hiyadroogs
      @hiyadroogs 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      'You can still be patriotic and want to stay in the EU.' - No, you really can't. Subservience to an unelected foreign dictatorship, loss of border controls subject to the whims of a foreign committee & ideology, unlimited migration & the political eradication of indigenous populations, eventual surrender of economic policy & taxation, control over British troops under a foreign defence policy, loss of control over our fishing areas, mass flooding of countryside & homes due to EU non dredging laws etc. Voting for any of the above is not remotely patriotic. It is deliberate self destruction of the nation state (which is the EU's main goal) & surrender of our birth right to self determination. I accept that some remainers believed the lies of the establishment ( who want total obedience & total control over their British sheep, without ever being held to account again by the riff raff) & possibly had good intentions & a sense of idealism, however misplaced & self delusional. But patriotic? Absolutely not. If the troops of WW2 had known at the time that they were laying down their lives not for our freedom & self determination & democracy, - but to surrender it all without even a fight, by just putting a cross on a piece of paper, without even a gun being held to our heads while we did it - they would have turned their guns on the remainers.You only have to look at what is happening across Europe to understand the cataclysm that is coming.

    why did britain fight so hard against germany if being in the EU was such a great thing, in my humble opinion being in the EU was a stab in the back to all those who fought and died fighting hitler, leaving the EU was the right thing to do no matter what the cost.

      so something that happened 60 years ago should be affecting foreign policy now? The world should be standing together now more than ever, not dividing itself back up again

      You can unite as people without subjecting yourself to the rule of another country. It doesn't have to be global governance or wars, surely we can have a middle ground.

      they fought and died because we had a hitler of our own. chirchill was as much a anti semitic and fasist as hiter was. just read inglorious empire. the british. a nation so great. 13 colonies desided to become inderpentdant from there tyranny

      mr wonder britain needed a strong leader, chamblin would of handed britain to hitler lock stock and barrel and the first thing himmler would have done is opened a concentration camp, no no no churchill and stalin were both great leaders and in a time of adversity strong leadership is essential, same with the upcoming war with islam if western culture is to survive.

      when did I say Churchill was weak? I said he was a terrible human being. Which he was. same as Hitler was. my point was would the world have really been any different. was 1930's Britain really that much better or freer than 1930's Germany. heck Prior to the Start of WW2. the British and Americans were actually quite admiral Hitler and his anti-Semitism and heck Israel had to be fucking created because all the allied countries didn't want the jews of the holocaust in their country. an act that has played a massive part in the current climate of the middle east.
      Stalin. heck prior to the invasion of Russia Stalin was all up and ready to be allied with Hitler. and would have supported the invasion to the west.
      WW2 was no different to WW1. just imperialist fighting imperialist.
      but hey the Eu is just as bad apparently. because it want's to reduce CO2 emissions and put up wind farms. because it wants its people to be able to freely move around. because it will never let a country join the union. but hey the EU is undemocratic!!
      Wait what???????/ The Eu is more democratic then the UK has ever been.

    We are all going to be fine in the UK now we are leaving the EU and jest thinking of the Brilliant plan that Mr Farage and top man Boris and all the fantastic people working night and day have put together. Also with all the great stuff we make that the rest of the world really, really want. We are going to be fine.
