They sell tote covers for those IBC tanks on Amazon for about $25 to block light and protect from the elements. Even after painting it might be a good idea.
In the container industry, that wrench is called a bung wrench. Hence the screw caps are called bungs. They’re both 2 inch bungs. One coarse threaded and the other npt threaded.
I always felt like Jax had something to do with bringing Opie into your life. It’s rare to find a Cat with Opie’s personality…I had one once and miss him so much. Happy travels for you, Diana and the kitties😀
I call it NO SHOW Low... that and every excuse imaginable. No gas, flat tire, sick, food poisoning, out of town emergency, etc. The rain has been missing my place by you. Hope i get some rain today.
Always tip the delivery drivers! This is for the one's that will continue to delivery to your properties. Drivers will appreciate this and make sure you're getting your deliveries on time. Just saying.
When I lived in Missouri as a kid we had to haul water for are house. We had a concert tank buried in back yard. You guys reminded me of that. Safe travels.
Great jdea painting the water tank, I have a clear auto water dispenser on my closed in back porch that was in the sun, to my surprise it was full of green mold, was very hard to clean out, used Clorox with ckeaners, put it in the shade, now no problem. I can only imagine how hard a tank that size would be to clean out green mold. What a cutie Opie is, he's special for sure
monitor your water quality. you will have to treat the water with food grade hydrogen peroxide 35% . its only 1oz per 1000 gallon to treat . even in the large tank. paint and the blue are not uv protect so algae will still grow just slower. in the large take is uv protect but you still want to treat the water to be sure nothing starts to grow.
Having someone to share your goals makes a big difference. Work some, play some, overall living the life that makes you happy. THANKS for sharing your journey.
20 grand to drill a well in AZ...Eric you spent well over that in buying an selling things thats not a priority...the truck was a smart buy much needed finally 😀👍😁
This is why property I'm looking at up there already have wells installed. I would just buy a 3000 gallon tank put it underground $2600 from Tank Depot in Phoenix. Hire someone with a backhoe to dig a hole bury it.
We live in a typical residential home and we are a family of three. We have a propane dryer and 20 lb propane tank. This last our family about three month of laundry . I do at least a load or two a day.
It's nice to see you and Diana making such progress. Opie was always a good choice and I knew when I first saw him that he was going to be alot like Jax and he very much is. I'm so glad that you're taking him out and about.
Light is still going to get through that blue spray paint. You'll need multiple coats of black. I would suggest using a thick "rhino lining" type of spray. Those other containers you have are not painted, that's the color of the plastic when they were made.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, your channel! It's invigorating , it's full of life, it's contagious! Eric, showing the real side of yourself with Opie and Tara, is soooo Loving and humane. I think Opie is very, very happy, and content , strapped in that harness and going around with you. IT'S what OPIE thinks that matters. No one else! So plain to see the Love that surrounds and penetrates TatorLand. I feel like I'm actually there visiting when you post, and then to have a second post from Diana, is the icing on the cake. Thank you for being you, Eric. Your friend, Louise
Eric why don't you catch rain water? Least you have it for watering plants and washing. You could catch it off your big blue box or even your solar panels. Water is precious, especially when its hard to come by. Save it, you could even recycle your washing water threw a cheap filter to water your plants or even wash your truck.
Well, that’s wonderful to see how you’re doing. I’ve been watching you for many years right when you start out the old Ford van when you got Jack’s the first time I’m living in BC myself we get those food containers $25 but I would be good if you have a few more of those and keep good source of water on hand, love to see more of those videos peace out
Can someone tell me who is Danny? I must have missed that video. He lives there full time? He pays rent? I never seen him in any videos. Who is the guy, and how did he end up living at Taterland?
He's a friend of mine. Rides a harley too. He's living on my acre in exchange for security while I'm gone. I think you missed quite a few videos actually. :)
Interesting video with the different arrangements for water. How long do you think the 1000 gallons will last? Opie is a lot like Jax. Tara needs lots of pets and cuddles too. Take care of yourself, Tara and Opie.
Surprised you don't have a collection tank attached to blue box to collect rain water, to water the plants and top off hot tub (since you'll use chemicals to balance the water anyhow).
dryers are so great at helping get the cat hair out of your laundry so much better than hanging them on the line.😻 Just have to clean out the lint filter on every load.
Looks like Danny has some carpentry skills. You should have him and you build a new larger building like you were looking at with CVK. It would be much cheaper.
You might consider another large water collection tank placed by the shed that you put gutters on & take advantage of rainfall runoff (free water!) Which you can use for the garden
Love watching you and the cat's but so very sad me being in the Philippines but i came here and married the woman i meant on line and me being 71 and needing to return to the USA for health reasons. But now finding it is very hard for my wife to get a visa to leave the Philippines. The people from the USA don't need a visa to leave the USA and come here we get a visa when we get here for 30 day's and can extend for up to 3 years or if you marry like i did you can get a 13A visa and stay the rest of your life. Any way God be with you.
Folks in a town called Wickenburg, AZ that my son knows spent $70,000 to dig a well at their property- 800 ft- dry as a bone. AZ water table are notoriously deep down.
I am sorry to say, but that paint is not good enough to keep light out of the tank. The tank needs to be completely light free or it will grow algae. Before you fill it, remove the tank from the frame again and wrap it with black plastic. I used a 8' x 100' roll of 6 mill black plastic sheeting from Menards (currently $35). This was enough sheeting to wrap the tank in two layers. It has lasted four years now.
Just daisy chain the tanks together, so you don't have to keep moving the water from one tank to another. As you fill one tank it will auto fill the others.
If you check the concrete companies get you some ecology blocks which are great big concrete stands you can sit your water on top of them which will elevate it and gravity will help you also they'll have you three feet in the air so you'll have more maneuverability for your sockets and your hoses
Could you hook all the tanks together so you could fill them all from one point. Make everything run a little smoother and if you put your blue tank and drums a little higher they would all automatically drain into the green.
Hope they weren't affected by the Crowdstrike computer problem that has hit thousands of businesses: airlines, banks, shops, etc... all over the world... Don't know when this was recorded, of course, but that started on Thursday 18th.. And is is still ongoing. Even today, for me - Mon: 22nd - my Chemist (Pharmacy) is still having problems. Crowdsrtike stuffed up... BIG TIME.
Eric that picture was cool hope you look like he was comfortable in that thing yeah I miss Jax like you do next time you go to the Farmers market take Opie out in that little chest carrier and see how he does you have a blessed day and God bless
I must say that you are much more patient and more positive since Diana has joined you.
Thanks! That's good.
Always tip the driver it will change your delivery for the better ....🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
No tax on tips TRUMP 2024 🇺🇸
Been a fan for eons. Love your progression thru life's ups and downs. You are doing awesome Eric. So happy for you.
I watch Handeeman channel. He connects his tanks and also has a water shed. As the main tank gets full, the overflow goes to the next tank and so on.
They sell tote covers for those IBC tanks on Amazon for about $25 to block light and protect from the elements. Even after painting it might be a good idea.
agreed!
I noticed that you've been talking slightly lower and more masculine in your videos lately. I like it, keep it up.
In the container industry, that wrench is called a bung wrench. Hence the screw caps are called bungs. They’re both 2 inch bungs. One coarse threaded and the other npt threaded.
Turn the spray can upside down and spray it. It sometimes gets clogged.
1100 gallons. 770 + 330 = 1100.
My FIRST thought also LOL!!!! "EXACTLY 1000 gallons", right???
yeah Eric has more than he thought
Eric corrected himself in the video.
"I'm not too good with math"😂
Who cares
Opie is such a good pal ! Meowmeow !
You're almost ready for the nuclear war. Just watch Fallout for tips on how to survive the aftermath.
Wow, watched this channel years ago! so good to see that ur still going strong man!
Always tip the delivery drivers! This is for the one's that will continue to delivery to your properties. Drivers will appreciate this and make sure you're getting your deliveries on time. Just saying.
I'm glad we have a tractor and backhoe here .. I'd bury all those tanks and clean the place up a bit visually.
Or just buy one big tank?
Place is starting to look like a junkyard.
The trailer for Black Betty would make an excellent camper to pull behind your truck.
Yeah
When I lived in Missouri as a kid we had to haul water for are house. We had a concert tank buried in back yard. You guys reminded me of that. Safe travels.

Eric you are a happier man since Diana came into your life, and it is good, don't mess up, you two look good together ...
monitor your water quality. you will have to treat the water with food grade hydrogen peroxide 35% . its only 1oz per 1000 gallon to treat . even in the large tank. paint and the blue are not uv protect so algae will still grow just slower. in the large take is uv protect but you still want to treat the water to be sure nothing starts to grow.
that wont do anything... WAY too diluted, and Hydrogen peroxide quickly becomes water
Not hydrogen perioxide. Use 3% bleach at a rate of 1 1/2 cups of bleach per full tank of water.
Love the picture of you and Opie in the truck. Looks like he's your navigator. 🤣🤣🤣
So glad to see you so happy.
Big hugs to the fur babies. 🤗😸😼
Luv seeing the 2 little fuzzy buttz❤
Diana putting that tracker device on your RV, was the best thing she ever done she kept track of you buddy 💯💯💯
It does look a bit scrappy with all those barrels all over the place Eric
Homestead living makes for compromises with water needs when wells can't be dug readily.
3000 gallon tank is $2600 from tank depot website they have retail store here in Phoenix
What a kitty! They both are so cute!!
Where did you come up with 20 Grand???? I already paid for a quote here for $65,000 to $75,000 unless they hit hard rock....
This is why property I'm looking at up there already have wells installed. I would just buy a 3000 gallon tank put it underground $2600 from Tank Depot in Phoenix. Hire someone with a backhoe to dig a hole bury it.
Getting things done here and there. Must be a good feeling. Enjoy!
Bung wrench.
We used a brass one when I was a machinist back in the '90s
Good to see the progress!
*James*
Hey Eric, I am not very knowledgeable about much, but I had heard that when the plastic material heats up by the sun, it leeches out into the water.
We live in a typical residential home and we are a family of three. We have a propane dryer and 20 lb propane tank. This last our family about three month of laundry . I do at least a load or two a day.
Set up looking good 👍👍
Thanks 👍
Ohh Opie is such a good kitty❤Tara is a princess
You seem very uplifted and very happy right now🎉
It's nice to see you and Diana making such progress.

I would love to have an Opie
At 4:43 hey Eric you look like that actor guy Zach galifianakis from that movie that hangover.😂
That’s what color I would paint it . Danny’s green .
I been watching your channel since 2013. I love your content! It look very peaceful in Arizona.🐱
Opie looks so cute in the little front carrier that you wear. Glad you found a useful tank.
Eric why don't you catch rain water? Least you have it for watering plants and washing. You could catch it off your big blue box or even your solar panels. Water is precious, especially when its hard to come by. Save it, you could even recycle your washing water threw a cheap filter to water your plants or even wash your truck.
You have done so much with your estate and it shows. Congratulations 👍
great homestead video, that place is really coming together
Can't wait for the next one. I'm really hoping that you'll show us Diana and you in your new adventure.

He's a friend of mine. Rides a harley too. He's living on my acre in exchange for security while I'm gone. I think you missed quite a few videos actually. :)
Use a small drill bit relase that pressure in that finger nail suprised you havent lost it
Love the nesting. You two are so cute together.
Interesting video with the different arrangements for water. How long do you think the 1000 gallons will last? Opie is a lot like Jax. Tara needs lots of pets and cuddles too. Take care of yourself, Tara and Opie.
Tip to get spray cans to work. Take the spray nozzle off and give it a quick blast of air from a compressor or tire pump.
Surprised you don't have a collection tank attached to blue box to collect rain water, to water the plants and top off hot tub (since you'll use chemicals to balance the water anyhow).
Eric I have 275 gal used one time with fructose in it for 100.00. It's on Boise Id market place.
I'm curious at what point is it cheaper to get a well? Maybe you covered this already and I missed it. 🐾🐾
Wells can costs thousands and thousands of dollars and there’s no guarantee you will even hit water.
❤ Cute Opie. And sweet Tara, are the best.
I love my truck to oh I want to say thanks for letting all of us about Delectables helped me teach my new kitten how to feed her newborn kittens
Gotta love that Opie!😂
He's the bees knees
😊So excited about everything being so solid for you lately!! Things are going well and all coming together.🎉
You're so cute, Eric. I've owned various pickups for over 40 years. Welcome to one more step towards adulthood.
Well. He said forgive my math. He wasn’t lying. Public schools finest math.
good vid on home stay thanks for the vids you do thanks lee
Opie is so cool.
dryers are so great at helping get the cat hair out of your laundry so much better than hanging them on the line.😻 Just have to clean out the lint filter on every load.
Hi Eric and Dianna from Huntington Beach, California, where the sun shines every day , van life full time ❤
Looks like Danny has some carpentry skills. You should have him and you build a new larger building like you were looking at with CVK. It would be much cheaper.
You look so happy together
You look happy, and rested, every thing is good, Yaaaa.
19:28 19:28 19:28 Awesome. Another fine video from Nomadic Fanatic. I love to see what Eric has planned next.
you can buy black covers for those containers they sell in Alaska the same ones they say it cuts down on the algae problem
They just blow off here. Remember - we have constant 75+mph wind here. Everything you love ends up in the next county.
With all due respect. It's starting to look like a homeless encampment.
I hate HOA's for this reason. Love the country life, no one judging how you live. Mind your own knitting.
I agree. I’d build a nice wood fence around the water tanks to conceal them.
And what is wrong with the homeless encampment big cities people love them
I truly have to agree...
You do what you want. It is your land and you live there.
You really got a good deal on that water tank. It all looks good. Have fun on your trip!
You might consider another large water collection tank placed by the shed that you put gutters on & take advantage of rainfall runoff (free water!) Which you can use for the garden
Water is always a good thing!
Great content Eric
Try to build a water collection so you can collect your own water love your video
That propane dryer is amazing ! Great find Eric !
Love watching you and the cat's but so very sad me being in the Philippines but i came here and married the woman i meant on line and me being 71 and needing to return to the USA for health reasons. But now finding it is very hard for my wife to get a visa to leave the Philippines. All you need is a shovel, some ladders, some buckets and the strength to dig 500 ft down, and you've got unlimited water hahaha
The water table is wayyyyy wayyyy deeper than 500 feet
Folks in a town called Wickenburg, AZ that my son knows spent $70,000 to dig a well at their property- 800 ft- dry as a bone. AZ water table are notoriously deep down.
Opie is sooo cute! I think you will have 1100 gallons!
You say the tank is food grade but it’s still used. How do you know what was put into it before you got it?
I am sorry to say, but that paint is not good enough to keep light out of the tank. The tank needs to be completely light free or it will grow algae. So much work to have fun!! But worth it!
GOOD MORNING BEST ERIC JAX TH-cam VIDEO 🐈🐈
You can run a line back n forth in your shed and hang your clothes. In that dry air, they will dry in no time.
Thanks,
Very Good ❤
Awesome video hope you have a wonderful trip
You could try putting a fan underneath the MacBook and see if it starts working , sometimes they start overheating causing problems
Just daisy chain the tanks together, so you don't have to keep moving the water from one tank to another. As you fill one tank it will auto fill the others.
Video looks great Eric. back to normal :)
Just make sure diana pays her own way and not using you. From the looks she could eat you out of house and home.
I don't have a house or home. I live in an RV with 2 cats... Just like her
if your getting rain a few time a week you should do a water collection system off of yous 2 sheds even if its to water your plants
If you check the concrete companies get you some ecology blocks which are great big concrete stands you can sit your water on top of them which will elevate it and gravity will help you also they'll have you three feet in the air so you'll have more maneuverability for your sockets and your hoses
The tanks are a great idea. Wonder if you could put a white fence or wood fence around them.
Way cool
Could you hook all the tanks together so you could fill them all from one point. Make everything run a little smoother and if you put your blue tank and drums a little higher they would all automatically drain into the green.
