  • Hi Everyone!!!
    This is a short preview of the Cardio Drumming class held in Howell Michigan! This is our first video with more to follow soon!! Our current class times are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays @ 6:30PM at Centerpointe Church (214 E Brooks St. Howell, Mi 48843). I hope you enjoy!!!     Love the videos! I'm just a beginner so can't quite keep up just yet but hopefully one day I can move as quickly as you! You all are so inspirational! Thank you for sharing your videos for us to practice at home.

      Thank you so much Deeanna! 💚. You can do it! A little bit at a time a little faster a little lower a little longer! It takes time but is very rewarding in the end! Some of the newer videos have a modifier try those!

    Long time guitarist and I love drums. When I listen to music my ear gravitates to the drums mostly rather than guitar. I know how to play drums a little bit but don't own any. I do plan on buying drums but not because of the benefits of burning calories but for the fun aspect and to jam with friends. Any of you know if your cardio drumming really helps burning calories and fat? If so, how would playing real drums compare in this department? I may post this in various TH-cam videos concerning cardio drumming so if you see this elsewhere it's just because I'm trying to get various answers. I appreciate any answers you can give me. Thank You.

    Maybe have one oerson in front doing high intensity and one in front modified. Doesn't seem right not to see what's going on

    The first thing I noticed was that yo aren't wearing shoes. I wondered how you do any cardio without the necessary support from shoes. Then I realized, you are completely stationary. I can't speak for your class that you lead but the class that I participate in features about 3500 steps in a 45 minute period in addition to the drumming. As far as I'm concerned this is good synchronized drumming, nothing more and nothing less.

      Working out barefoot can help strengthen foot muscles. Alot of muscles that wouldn't get a workout because of the shoe support. As for the cardio aspect... you do not have to have full on "cardio" for your body to recognize it as cardio. Much like a brisk walk isn't full on cardio but anything that raises your heart rate is cardio to your body. It is Not the actual moves themselves that classify something as cardio. It's all up to what raises your heart rate. Of course for someone who is in a Zone 3 heart rate while working out, this may not get them there. But it's all dependent on the I individual themselves. And cardio drumming also has cognitive benefits as well. A moderate intensity cardio drumming class will burn around 250 calories an hour. The same as an hour on a treadmill for a 200lb individual. Cardio helps increase strength in your heart and lungs which is for the endurance during a workout. But I'm sure this isn't the only routines they do. They probably kept it simple for the viewers.
