@@cubicleinvestor2553 Yeah buddy!! I'm waiting for mine should be here by the end of the week. I saw a .45 that i also like .. i might get that in the meantime - until the G28 gets here.!
I am a former firearms instructor from a federal agency. For years our carry firearm was the Glock 17. I fell in love with Glock. I even became a Glock Armorer. I have a Gen 3 26 that I carry from time to time. I recently purchased the Glock 28 and I love it. I love for the reasons you mentioned. I also have carried a Glock 43X. My wife loves her Glock 42.
US gun owners seem enamored with the 45acp and 9mm rounds because of their perceived superior "stopping power". Keep in mind though that the German police thought for decades (in the 20's to at least the 50's) that the "9mm kurz" (for 9mm short) aka 380 acp had enough stopping power to be used in their daily pursuit of German criminals. The Walther PPK ("Polizei Pistole Kriminell" or criminal police pistol) used the 9mm kurz or 380 acp with no perceived disadvantage. Perhaps not as far as James Bond's armourer says in Dr. No, "with a delivery like a brick through a plate-glass window"...
There are three changes that I would like to see Glock do. 1. Make all Glocks MOS ready without needing an adapter plate. 2. A proper rail for lights. 3. Work on those single stack mags, up that capacity.
Thanks for this up-to-date and the 380. It's small and easy to carry on those summer hot days or women's and elderly carry gun. Something is better than nothing.
I've done many tests with my Glock 19 and my Glock 42 which is 380 just for my own knowledge. In a 3 inch thick paperback book, the 9 mm almost penetrated through the book, and the 380 was only about an inch behind. modern 380 is a kick ass bullet. It will make a nice hole in a head or chest.
It's my least favorite carry gun due to lower accuracy, much lower reliability, and the less effective round. I only carry it for running or as a backup
The Glock 25 and 28 were introduced in the late 90's however the US would not import them. Also some countries do not allow civilians to own and use military rounds (9mm, .45) so the .380 was a good choice. Glock how about introducing a .38 Super.
Appreciate your discussion of how different guns and calibers work differently for different people. Long ago got tired of the “why would you want anything other than a 9mm” crowd. I use both calibers (among others) and different guns for different purposes. One of the reasons I enjoy your videos, you give good information and let people make their own choices. Thanks Sootch!
I carried the 42 in a small waist pack barely larger than a grilled cheese sandwich for 10 years. I loved it and will still carry it on occasion, but I will move up to the larger round count of the new Glock 380s. I did increase the Glock 42 round count by 3 with the ETS 9 round magazine. I experienced a lot of jams with one in the barrel and nine in the magazine, so I have one in the barrel and eight in the magazine.
As the owner of a Ruger LCP Max I feel that it's better suited as a deep conceal pistol. Granted it IS a lot smaller pistol but I've always considered the 380 caliber to be a get "off me gun" anyways. So, for that purpose the LCP Max holds a lot of rounds and slips into your pocket where it is hardly noticeable at all. Yet quickly able to be brought to bear if needed. With 12 rounds you can easily get off a couple of rounds that allow you to move to a safer spot and you still have 10 more left over if needed. It used to be that the 380 was considered to be a wimpy round, but ammo nowadays is much better for the 380 than it was in the past. I have shot the 69 grain Lehigh defense XD rounds in my 380 and it absolutely loves those. Low recoil, accurate and ballistically a great performer in a 380 caliber round. Let's face it. Any caliber of round if fired is going to create a hole with a wound channel and blood is going to come out. When that happens, without proper treatment a person is going to die. In my opinion the best answer for the age old question of what caliber should I carry always comes down to the same answer. Which is, the caliber that you can shoot accurately and easily. Because we all know shot placement is critical.
Damn, I'm getting old! I didn't realize you are also SensiblePrepper. I thought there were similarities; I guess I need to pay attention to my surroundings better! Thanks for the great content!
I would definitely recommend this pistol over many other micro nines or .380's. The grip is the main selling point for this pistol and the other similar models that Glock offers. I was once skeptical about Baby Glocks for years until I shot the Model 26.
I feel like I would die in a shootout with this thing. It's super super small.and t's a .380. I would stay at nind and four o. Anything bigger is ridiculous and gonna be harder to find grains and pay more
Agreed. Those chunky “baby” Glocks are in a class of their own for shoot-ability in a package that looks like it wouldn’t be. I carry 380s, but when I get out my g26 I’m always amazed just how well it shoots. 26 is hard to beat if you had to own just one pistol for about any role.
You produced a very good video about the Glock 28. I like it because I do some security in a crowded Church and there is always a concern for me about over penetration if we have an active shooter and hitting an innocent person. Additionally, the objective is not to take a police action to enforce the law, but only to make the person quit doing what they are doing and get off the property. The 28 fits that objective plus it is very stable and the limited recoil and a solid sized frame permit very accurate multiple shots. Anyway, good video and thanks for posting.
Glock 43 was a good pistol but when they came out with a 43x, that was such an improvement on that pistol as far as capacity and concealment. What about being able to make a glock 42x? 10 round capacity, thinner pistol, longer grip like the 43x but the capability of less recoil for new shooters as well as seasoned shooters. I think that would definitely be an idea to consider. Might make me buy that .380 rather then this thicker model 28

Glock must send you carefully thoroughly checked guns for your videos. I recently purchased a G28, it is the most unreliable gun I've ever owned in over 40 years. My first 32 rounds fired resulted in 29 stovepipes. As the gun sits awaiting repair at Glock for the last 3 weeks, nothing has been reported from the service center. Heck, even Taurus makes a better 380. Needles to say my G17 gen3, G44, G43X and my G19 gen5 are what I've come to expect of Glock. Could the problem with the G28 being made in the USA be the problem, or has Glock lost their quality control?

Oh wow 😮another Glock 42 😢
The poor ejection does not inspire confidence.
As long as it doesn’t malfunction what’s the problem.
When Taurus is kicking your farse - what's that mean 😂
Great outtakes Sootch. Let's see more of them Brandon moments😅
👍🏻
I’d rather get the new beretta cheetah in 380. Just no need for it really.
Could the problem with the G28 being made in the USA be the problem, or has Glock lost their quality control?
i will keep my Ruger LCP Max
10:20 I got the wife a 380 EZ Smith & Wesson capacities not that much if you had to give your wife which one would it be Glock or the Smith & Wesson 380 oi like the 10 round capacity
Is it significantly lighter than the 26?? If not, what is the point of this gun?!!
Same reason why people choose the 26 over the 27.
Less recoil, closer to a .22 than 9mm.
Where does this firearm fit into the market??????
Up your behind. Probably a lot of other places too.
What a stupid thing to say
It doesn't... The Ruger LCP Max exists that's better in ever conceivable way
Allen, I no longer want to carry a 9 mm for self-defense. Do I still shoot my Glock 19? Of course. But I am deadly accurate with my 380 and can shoot multiple shots in a small group in just a few seconds. I can no longer do that quickly with my 9 mm.
@BasedPatriot-USA you probably don’t even own a single firearm
