    sick deck. I was really trying to get a golden nekker version to work but it was pretty rough without fucusya, this definitely looks smoother

      It is. The only thing is sometimes I want a Geralt over Triss which does leave 8/9 extra provisions for something else.

    Amazingly fun looking deck bro. A question , what would you say is your card's ability (your pfp) ?

    • @platinumpatrol2964
      @platinumpatrol2964  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It has "Order: deal 2 damage, then replay self."
      It's a Stalker from Starcraft 2 (art from someone who submitted it in a thumbnail reviewing his game a long time ago that we thought was funny to make into a logo when I started making Gwent videos). My goal was to try to capture the unit as accurately in a card which is where the design comes from.
      The unit in Starcraft has regenerating shields and a teleport ability often used to move it behind other units when the shield gets low to let the shield regenerate. So, for the card I wanted the ability to reflect it with the return to hand to reset the armor (shield). It has 2 attacks in Starcraft so I wanted to capture that with the 2 damage order. The armor being equal to the power is also from the unit's stats in the game of where its health = its shields.
      The idea is it is a high value damage engine that gets value over time by the armor absorbing damage and then replaying itself, which is how the unit is used in Starcraft. It's not good in a straight up fight (so in Gwent just playing it is low tempo and value) but by leveraging its ability to micro it, it extracts a lot of value over time. It's also extremely weak to lock, which I was aiming for to parallel in Starcraft where it's ability getting shut down or an EMP removing all the shields is devastating.
      It's a NG construct because the only place it could be made in the Witcher universe (it's essentially a futuristic robot) is as a construct put together by one of the mages and the person who drew it is a Nilfgaard main.
      I did intend to talk about it in a random video once the channel hits 5k subscribers for a bit of fun, and probably still will, but that's the brief rundown.

      Damn bro , that's actually really well thought out and fun looking. The replaying itself part is really interesting , im gonna sub now so hopefully we get more info sooner ❤.@@platinumpatrol2964

    49:04 how did you know that you have last say?

    • @platinumpatrol2964
      @platinumpatrol2964  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Whoever wins the previous round goes first in the next round. Whenever both players have the same number of cards, the player who loses the round gets last say in the next round. That's why winning R1 matters so much to decks that want last say. In a normal game you win R1 down a card making you go first R2, you don't play a card, the opponent wins R2 by playing a card so you both have the same number again, and they won R2 and go 1st in R3 giving you last say.

    Great deck but it's such a shame a dedicated rain deck can't compete in the meta. It's by far my favourite SK archetype.

    • @platinumpatrol2964
      @platinumpatrol2964  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It really is a shame. The Megascope nerf as well was unfortunate as well as it offset the Angerfish gains in the GN version. It reminds me of Vampires a bit as well where the non-Renfri versions are just so much worse and there's not really anything that can be done about it.

      @@platinumpatrol2964 can this deck make it to pro rank and compete or is it just for fun like a meme deck? i want to play rain just dont want to waste materials to craft.

    • @platinumpatrol2964
      @platinumpatrol2964  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@JohnnyGhost91 It can definitely compete and if you want to play Rain Renfri is the best way. If a deck is a meme deck/just for fun I try to be very clear about it like in the Fog or Mill videos.
      If you're spending resources to craft it there a couple of cards you can substitute. Triss can be replaced with Kraken or Geralt (and extra provisions used elsewhere), and Operator can be swapped out for another beast (Giant Boar was a good callout by someone else in the comments).

    • @platinumpatrol2964
      @platinumpatrol2964  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can also run a Dorregaray of Vole for a lock over the Operator or with the extra provisions from Geralt. There should still be enough value from Kambi and Corrupted Flamminica if you add a couple more non-beast cards.

    Hi, I'd just like to know what is the website you can see what's meta in gwent.

    • @platinumpatrol2964
      @platinumpatrol2964  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not sure really. The meta report sites aren't kept up to date as far as I'm aware. The best bet is probably to see what the high MMR players are using. I believe Shinmiri2 for example has a list of his decks somewhere. You can also see the more popular ones on the Playgwent.com website but not every deck gets a guide.

    Not the best deck. I prefer Kraken more than Triss. Also big boar is better than operator. Two melusine Cultists>> sea serpent. Double squrrel>>> elder bear.
    One copy an craite warrior + bear with 8 power >>>seagul and wolfpak (slow tempo)
    Beasts are still strong deck to climb on ladder but rain only with Tyr and An craite greatswords + megaskops, Fulmar. I'm speaking about rain-warriors variation where you have points on short round 3. Rain archetype doesn't has a finisher like beasts archetype(Flaminca).

    • @platinumpatrol2964
      @platinumpatrol2964  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I like Kraken too, but I was playing against a lot of decks where it didn't get much value so I swapped it. You're right about the Cultists, I had the Sea Serpent as an option to kill the Kraken quicker or if it got boosted but I should've taken it out after swapping him. I do like having the additional unique beasts to make Flaminica bigger but I can see where some people wouldn't. Operator I chose to have the 3rd Messenger for additional engine value since other engine decks were what I was having the biggest issue with. Thanks for the input though, those are some good ideas!
