Same here lol. I've listened to that song so many times I know every note by heart. I was also super lucky that I was there at the show when they recorded it live!
Megadeath songs are more technical then Metallica and there is something in dave mustaine's vocals which moulds so soothingly that it is impossible for other vocalists to even give the feel that his voice produces.
this has always been one of my favorite Megadeth songs. I love the lyrics and the dual solo at the end. The unplugged version of this song is just as good, which is rare.
@@Kylora2112 I think the "Each of us, a cell of awareness, imperfect and incomplete" line from Free Will would probably blow her mind even more. But either one. Hell, any Rush song.

The best thing Metallica ever did was kicking out Dave Mustaine - so he could clean up his act and bring us Megadeth. He's not my favorite singer but what he does and the way he does it works so well for Megadeth. Especially in metal it's the delivery that counts. And I think he'd shudder hearing you call Megadeth "pop music" *g* And Mustaine is a great guitarist. The things he plays while singing are pretty impressive. Oh, and when you want machine gun drumming, try Judas Priest - Painkiller.
Dave didn’t get sober until around the early 2000s, after his wife left him for a while. Read his book, as he talks about his crazy drug abuse a lot in it
@@shredgordon3240 I thought he had at least reigned it in. I mean, if you get out of a band nicknamed AlcoholicA for being a drunk it must be pretty bad. Hard to believe he could play shit like he did while being completely wasted/high. thanks for the heads up. Yeah, I'm not interested enough in Dave to actually read his biography - besides not being that much into biographies anyway.
This made me so happy just seeing you experience this amazing performance so organically for the first time & I loved your very interesting, non-derogatory comments regarding Mustaine's "unique" vocal style. You'd probably get a kick out of something weirdly bizarre like "Sweating Bullets", or some of the softer stuff on Cryptic Writings, but honestly he had some pretty good vocal chops overall throughout the 90s He really worked out how to get the most out of what little he had during this time to pretty incredible results, pretty inspirational
I was at this show in Phoenix, AZ when they recorded this live. It was incredibly amazing and a very small place. It was so lowd that one of my ears was ringing for 2 days afterwards cause I didn't have earplugs
The first time Dave Mustaine sings he passed out 2 time(I think) and clearly said he was not the best singer BUT I still love his voice really fits Megadeth music style.
I love his vocals. You can't compare him to James Hetfield or anyone else really, but his style is really unique and awesome in its own way. I've seen them live a few times. Dave is great. The whole band is great.
Weird that someone would request Dave Mustaine for a vocal coach reaction. He's just not, you know, a very good singer. Especially compared to a whole bunch of other metal frontmen out there!
It's really incredible when you realize how hard is the stuff he plays while singing. I can barely play Megadeth songs with 100% concentration on my guitar, I have no idea how he can sing at the same time... it's just insane.
I'm a 45yr old Leukemia / BMT patient over in the U.S. and I absolutely love your channel!! What an unexpected video in every facet. Beth reviewing Dave, the improvisation and alteration to the source in the live performance, which I have never seen before and was outstanding, just all of it.
Never thought I'd see a vocal coach reacting to Dave Mustaine! By no means the most pleasing or virtuosic vocalist, but he has a sneer and a snarl that's often perfect for Megadeth's music.
Thanks for reviewing Megadeth! I don't care how often Dave Mustaine says he doesn't want to be a singer... he is one of the BEST metal singers out there. And most importantly, for a genre where actual singing talent is not even fucking Necessary... he managed to prove himself one of the best. Excellent video! More evaluations on Metal singers, please.
Aahhhaaa, haven’t watched the video yet but Mustaine? Damn, a surprising choise! You’re really gettin’ into these metal singers aren’t ya😂tho I think that something like Reckoning Day live from the Night of the living Megadeth would’ve displayed Mustaine’s range and overall skills a bit better
I haven't watched that in years! That's from the Rude Awakening live DVD. It was shot in my hometown Phoenix, AZ. I used to watch that thing religiously!
This is a little bizarre for me, because even though I've been listening to Megadeth for most of my life, I've generally thought that Dave's singing was pretty poor. It works in some small way for the music, but it still falls below average when you consider the other thrash vocalists out there.
You gotta remember that when comes to Dave Mustsine, he is famous for not just his amazing guitar skills, but his unique vocals. Though gritty sometimes, he also can be versatile and his style is very unique and fits in with the band quite well too. Please keep listening to *MORE* Megadeth. She-wolf is but a TASTE of their awesomeness. Megadeth is from Los Angeles, California. Guitarist Dave Mustaine and bassist David Ellefson formed the band in 1983 shortly after Mustaine's dismissal from Metallica. Along with Metallica, Anthrax, and Slayer, Megadeth is one of the "big four" of American thrash metal, responsible for its development and popularization. Their music features complex arrangements and fast rhythm sections, and lyrical themes of death, war, politics, and religion. In 1985, Megadeth released its debut album, Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!, on the independent record label Combat Records, to moderate success. It caught the attention of bigger labels, which led to Megadeth signing with Capitol Records. Their first major-label album, Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?, was released in 1986 and influenced the underground metal scene. Substance abuse and personal disputes brought Megadeth negative publicity during this period. After the lineup stabilized, Megadeth released a number of platinum-selling albums, including Rust in Peace (1990) and Countdown to Extinction (1992). These albums, along with worldwide tours, brought them public recognition. The band temporarily disbanded in 2002 when Mustaine suffered an arm injury and re-established in 2004 without bassist Ellefson, who had taken legal action against Mustaine. Ellefson settled out of court and rejoined in 2010. Megadeth has hosted its own music festival, Gigantour, several times since July 2005. Megadeth has sold over 38 million records worldwide, earned platinum certification in the United States for five of its fifteen studio albums, and received twelve Grammy nominations. Megadeth won its first Grammy Award in 2017 for the song "Dystopia" in the Best Metal Performance category. The band's mascot, *Vic Rattlehead,* regularly appears on album artwork and live shows. In short, these guys are amazing and worth listening too and they love connecting to their fans
Dave Mustaine is a great songwriter and an absolute riff-god but he isn't and never was a great singer. IIRC he originally didn't really even want to sing.
To be honest I agree ...but i still love his vocals and nobody ...I mean nobody would fit into Megadeth other than him. Maybe Anselmo but I don’t zhink anybody else would fit into Megadeth as a singer .

Not metal, but I'd love to see a Rush reaction...maybe something from the R30 tour. Geddy Lee has another one of those polarizing voices and often plays complex bass lines while singing at the same time. I think "Red Barchetta" would be a good choice from that one.

We all Megadeth fans know and admit that Dave signs like shit. But we love him and his voice🤘🏽
Dave Mustaine always looks like he hates his job.
it's seems more like "evething makes me angry"
But the hate is my fuel
@@vicenteneto6767 If you read some bio on him, its this.
Sound like it too
I recall in an old interview with Marty Friedman. “Dave plays guitar like he’s got a lot of hate. While I play guitar with a lot of love.”
Please Nevermore - Insignificant or The River Dragon Has Come!!! You'll absolutely like it. Warre Dane is one of the best singers and songwriters in music history. R.I.P. :(
Love Nevermore, super underrated.
MegaDave Taylor yesss the river dragon has come !!!!
Or "Believe in nothing". Anything off of "Dead heart", really. Warrel Dane was awesome, and that entire album is an all killer no filler evergreen.
I thought Dane was much better on Into the Mirror Black than he was on any of the Nevermore albums.
Dave Mustaines song writing ability is legendary
The Rude Awakening Live show is one of my top things to listen/watch!!!
Gets the juices flowing! 🤘
I was there when they were recording it. It was an amazing show!
One of my favorite live recordings of a Megadeth track! Amazing guitar solo battle!
The thing about Dave is that he definitely can hit those higher notes (see "Sweating Bullets"), it's just not really the band's style.
Russell Allen from Symphony X / Adrenaline Mob please!!! The Adrenaline Mob cover of Barracuda (Heart) is amazing and give the feels!
Their cover of Come Undone is phenomenal too.
Oh yeah I could give some really good examples of the symphony x masterpieces ❤️
One of my favourite tunes by Megadeth. Surprising, thanks!
Surprised to see “Megadeath” reaction on this channel. Dave is one of my favorites. Playing guitar like he does & singing lead vocals. He is just a incredible talent. Hated to hear he was diagnosed with throat cancer and canceled all up coming performances.
People that don’t like Megadeath can’t stand his voice. I like how it’s different & unique.
Great reaction! Keep up the great work on reacting to different artists.
Jimmy DeGrasso was such an underrated drummer in Megadeth
A beast
Found it so hard to concentrate on your review of my fav song of my fav band but, once again Beth, you have the perfect descriptions. I love watching your reaction vids. Keep them coming. Thank you. X
Pritam Dey exceptionally stated!
this has always been one of my favorite Megadeth songs. I love the lyrics and the dual solo at the end. The unplugged version of this song is just as good, which is rare.
Dave Mustaine is a metal god! Would love to see you breakdown Tornado Of Souls
Dave is by no means the world's best vocalist, but you damn sure know a Megadeth song when you hear it.
Please react to Rush - The Spirit of Radio 🙏🏻❤️
I want to see her react to the "oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooof SALESmen!" part =D
@@Kylora2112 I think the "Each of us, a cell of awareness, imperfect and incomplete" line from Free Will would probably blow her mind even more. But either one. Hell, any Rush song.
Agreed. Any rush song will do.
Or 2112, either way, it btfos most other rock performances
Not a whole lot of vocals, but I loved your reaction! It's a fantastic performance.
Adoro essa música, e o jeito de cantar de Dave Mustaine é único
These are some of Dave's finest guitar licks lead live with this band. And thanks for rockin' Jimmy's drum solo! A VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER This is the TALL WEEDS Beth!
Thanks for doing Megadeth, You've won a lot of metal heads.
Annihilator- Alison hell. Has great vocals in it
This made me so happy just seeing you experience this amazing performance so organically for the first time & I loved your very interesting, non-derogatory comments regarding Mustaine's "unique" vocal style.
You'd probably get a kick out of something weirdly bizarre like "Sweating Bullets", or some of the softer stuff on Cryptic Writings, but honestly he had some pretty good vocal chops overall throughout the 90s
He really worked out how to get the most out of what little he had during this time to pretty incredible results, pretty inspirational
React to any Michael Kiske' song either Helloween or Unisonic please.
I Want Out...
How Many Tears!
We. All. Live. IN FUTURE WORLD!
@@Kylora2112
I want out is a better song for sheer vocal power and range.
Hey! Check out my reaction to Helloween here: th-cam.com/video/aAiXpoGUaxM/w-d-xo.html
I was at this show in Phoenix, AZ when they recorded this live. It was incredibly amazing and a very small place. It was so lowd that one of my ears was ringing for 2 days afterwards cause I didn't have earplugs
Megadeth was the last thing I would expect to see on this channel 😂
The first time Dave Mustaine sings he passed out 2 time(I think) and clearly said he was not the best singer BUT I still love his voice really fits Megadeth music style.
Dave in not known for his incredible vocals lmao
But its unique af. That's all matters.
I love his vocals. You can't compare him to James Hetfield or anyone else really, but his style is really unique and awesome in its own way. I've seen them live a few times. Dave is great. The whole band is great.
Dave is known for being an incredible guitarist 🤘
Listen loved to death again .
I also like his vocals, big Megadeth fan. He doesn't ALWAYS sound good live, I've heard some weird vocals from him over the years...
The part she talks about her song and say "wooouh" and then laugh makes me happy I don't even know why 😂😂😂 she's adorable wtf
Weird that someone would request Dave Mustaine for a vocal coach reaction. He's just not, you know, a very good singer. Especially compared to a whole bunch of other metal frontmen out there!
But he has a particular tone and way of singing. When you hear it you can say "hey! that's Dave Mustaine!"
He is perfect for what he does with Megadeth.
I agree, but he does have such a unique sound that it's fun to hear a vocal coach analyze it.
@@jophusxakc3192 exactly these videos are about what makes them, them not who is the best singer.
Making him perfect for this, he's never been taught how to sing, he just rawdogs it in the most intense way.
It's really incredible when you realize how hard is the stuff he plays while singing. I can barely play Megadeth songs with 100% concentration on my guitar, I have no idea how he can sing at the same time... it's just insane.
Really hope Dave‘s gonna be okay.
Maybe review something by Metallica next? Fade to Black, ’89 in Seattle would be awesome!
Patrick Stupp she’s reacted to Outlaw Torn from the S&M concert but it would be interesting to see her react to early Hetfield
I'm a 45yr old Leukemia / BMT patient over in the U.S. and I absolutely love your channel!! You do such a great job explaining how everyone sings on a technical level that I believe that, should I make it through my battle, I could actually learn how to sing! Lol!
And I think you're absolutely adorable. 😊
Here are my 2 wishlist songs I would love to see you react to:
1) Judas Priest - The Sentinel "Live"
2) Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark "Live in Rio"
I know you've done videos for both bands already, but the Judas Priest one was from before they became the metal band they are today & Maiden is my favorite band & Fear of the Dark is a fun song where the crowd participates & it's just so much fun I think you'll really enjoy it. Thanks.

Thanks a bunch to everyone that requested this as well as Arjan (sp?) and Beth for deciding to use it. This is probably my favorite song from Megadeth's 90s hard rock era.
Shocked to see a vocal coach react to Mustaine.
I’m just waiting for her to start doing covers of these types songs. Tbh I would love a Megadeth cover.
Please react to travel in stygian alive in Athens by iced earth. The video isn't from the same show as the audio I think but you can still get a good idea of it. (The one from 2008 is good too)
How much i fricking love this concert, and the "That one night"
Metallica live master of puppets 1989, and ghost he is or cirice or elizabeth life eternal is good too
This quickly turned into an instrumental reaction:)))) these are the best musicians in thrash metal and metal in general. Maybe alongside Iron Maiden. But yeah. These guys are GODS.
"The timing is perfect"
*Timing intensifies*
What an unexpected video in every facet. Beth reviewing Dave, the improvisation and alteration to the source in the live performance, which I have never seen before and was outstanding, just all of it.
Two videos in one day? Cool. Pls react to Seventh Wonder
Woah. I think this is the most adorable person I've seen on the internet. Children and babies included
This is nothing. Try Good Mourning/Black Friday. You'll hate it, but thats the point. 🙂
Mo Shahir this or the conjuring. The real fans know this!!!
Never thought I'd see a vocal coach reacting to Dave Mustaine! By no means the most pleasing or virtuosic vocalist, but he has a sneer and a snarl that's often perfect for Megadeth's music.
More Megadeth please. And Bathory
Jeez, seriously.... Paste and click. Ughhh
Dave Mustaine is a great songwriter and an absolute riff-god but he isn't and never was a great singer. IIRC he originally didn't really even want to sing.
Yeah, but you have to admit - MegaDeth songs would suck if he wasn't singing them.
Yeah, he'd be the first to admit he's not a singer, he has no true "singing" voice, so he adopted this strange technique, but he uses it well.
To be honest I agree ...but i still love his vocals and nobody ...I mean nobody would fit into Megadeth other than him. Maybe Anselmo but I don’t zhink anybody else would fit into Megadeth as a singer .
I like to say that Dave DOES have a great vocal range. It's the entire spectrum of "Angry." And for Megadeth, I wouldn't have it any other way. I did, however, wrote a nearly identical comment to yours, then gave up and gave yours a like.
\m/. thanks allot. Dave mustaine is a ''bad' man a very''bad'' man, in a positive way offcourse. a raw powerhouse and insane guitar player. I think megadeth gained a fan, you won't regret this band and ''warheads on foreheads'' is a good starting point. Very on point aggain and great. I was expecting the reaction exactly that way on the ''big'' bonus guitar section. but was curious to what you think of the main vocalist/lead guitarist dave mustaine. It was a great ride right ^^ \m/.
Here’s me expecting a Shakira cover! Bahaha
Hey! Here is my reaction to Shakira: th-cam.com/video/r3tRi32T7MM/w-d-xo.html
The jaw drop when the solo kicked in :D
Who cares about her reaction, I'm watching this video just to listen to this metal master piece one more time...
Lololol
Not metal, but I'd love to see a Rush reaction...maybe something from the R30 tour. Geddy Lee has another one of those polarizing voices and often plays complex bass lines while singing at the same time. I think "Red Barchetta" would be a good choice from that one.
react to creep by stone temple pilots in unplugged
There timing is even perfect while playing super fast
