Thank you for this!👀 i was able to recreate the sound. This tutorial helped me understand VAST much better. Much appreciation for putting this together!!!
A very nice articulated tutorial. Takes a little longer than the Moog. Funny! The video went out of focus around the 28 minute mark. It is a lengthy video. I will return to watch the effects section later. Very nice. Like you said, when you get your head wrapped around how things are done, it's just a length of time to do it. Thx Jim
Jim, I am covering the Wall. Just finished Dark Side of the Moon. I have done a factory reset on my K2700 as many redundancies and user errors happened. Starting this show fresh (I did backup) I also have the Symphonia Monster Pack for Floyd. Getting into the key triggers Would like to definitely contact you to figure out how to make this show really authentic. Am loving this learning curve. Definitely checking out and mirroring your work! Would love to pick your brain from time to time if I can't find in the videos. I have also a Juno DS 88, Roland VR-09 and this silly toy Casio that makes the flies sound in Hey You perfect as well as the bell chimes on Comfortably Numb lol
Nice gears, I am also using VR (not 09 but 730) with Pc4-7 to cover PF sounds, both complement very well each other, specially keybed wise for VR-730 for organs
Excellent tutorial! One thing seems to be really missing in the VAST model, and that’s like a simple mixing layer. For instance if I wanted to emulate a 4 oscillator synth like the Moog Matriarch, I‘d have to sacrifice another four (identical) filter layers, where one would do. Or did I get something wrong? (Forte user who wants to dive deeper into VAST)

Quite close. Architecturally correct would be to mix the Saws together before routing to a single 4-Pole Lowpass Mogue. Well done.
Thank you! Is that possible in V.A.S.T.? I'm not an expert by any means but I couldn't find a way to do that.
