What were the engineers thinking when they designed this? Replacing a radiator shouldn't be this involved.

This is an excellent video. Direct, and informative. Very easy to follow. You did a very fine job with this video. Thank you very much for taking the time, and effort, to assist us do our own work. I am a disabled veteran, and on a fixed income, thus it is imperative for me to do my own work. This is perhaps the best, if not certainly one of the best videos for DIY.

What about the clips at the bottom that you took off of the transmission lines?

I replaced the radiator as the coolant recovery line was broken at the fill neck and noticed while it was out that the water pump had some play in it so I replaced it as well, as well as the thermostat since I already had as much out as I did. I noticed when you put the transmission lines back into the radiator that you didn't put those metal clips back in. Are they necessary?

Shitty design. Water pump hooked to the fan clutch is silly. Having to remove grill is silly. I replaced my mothers Isuzu Ascender 4.2 ( same as a Trailblazer inline 6 4.2) radiator and water pump and hoses and belt That was 6 or 7 years ago. It sucked. Will need to replace radaitor again soon, small leak. Might as well do water pump again. Cant reuse water pump bolts according to the manual but can't find right bolts either so ??
