A lot of gamers have a lot of negative comments on the Xbox series s. I got one as I found one dirt cheap on the marketplace and I gotta say I love it. I also have the Xbox series x as well which is a noticeable difference in performance but there’s definitely a place for the series s for ppl who wanna play the latest Xbox games on gamepass at an affordable price and the series s is extremely quiet and compact. Probably my only beef with it is the 512gb which ends up realistically being like 320gb or sumthing just isn’t enough so you’ll definitely need one of those expansion cards or an external hdd via usb
How much did you pay for it used?? Im checking Facebook Marketplace myself daily as i hope to get one for travel since its so compact. I already have a Seagate 2TB SSD expansion on my series X so dont mind the 512 gb.
"Gets the job done" is a really good quote for the Series s, idk why people don't like it, if it's too cheap or not powerful enough, just get the series x, like why hate on the cost efficient version 😂. I got the 1tb black version and it works good.
Definitely. I Switched from PlayStation with the series s as my 1st Xbox device. I don’t have any problems. Graphics are just as great imo, with a good tv or monitor. I Got two memory banks for games. I’m good. ID buy 3 more just cause it’s so cheap and efficient.
I purchased the series s back in '21 the only reason I got it because the series x and ps5 was out of stock..long story short purchase what your money can get you.
Its a powerful console for a causal gamers who don't want to break a bank for decent gaming. i bought it kept it mind for 40 inch screen. And its didn't disappoint at all . Even i played on my 55 4k tv it look little disoriented but look decent not bad at all, but perfect for 40 inch tv. Really enjoying gaming on Series S
"games are yours" na men, you pay a full price rent until they decide to remove them. Still a good console for people who want a small machine for play some AAA during dayoff and don't care about 4K and max framerate.

As of July 2024 the Series S is not suitable for gaming. For the last month and a half I’ve been dealing with connection issues while playing game pass and games like COD/MLB The Show. You get an insane disadvantage while playing these games with cross play turned on that you’ll notice right away. COD Has had the same lag problem with Series S for going on 3 weeks now. The console is unable to play new games like The Finals, xDefiant, College Football 25 and the list will continue to grow. Please save your money and if you really are wanting to stick with Xbox just get the Series X and thank me later!
@@twoBitTech try playing MLB The Show or COD. The Show was running on 30 FPS for weeks and now it’s fixed there’s a button input issue. And for COD the game will start off fine but around halfway through the match you’ll start getting lag spikes and by 3/4 end game the lag is terrible the community has been going at it on Twitter for awhile now
Just my opinion, but it was never worth getting especially when the One X was still available during the time. It’s not like it was 4K gaming and the memory that it came with (512 GB) is laughable. You can’t complain about specs on the One X if you don’t have a Series X that does everything thing the series S does but 3x better. Between the One X and the Series X you can use them as multimedia players if you have a 4K movie collection already old Xbox Xbox 360 and Xbox One games you can still play them without sacrificing more memory than you have to. To each his/her own but if I’m getting a Next Gen Console I want all the bells and whistles and if it’s not a true upgrade with improved specs all around the board I don’t need a mid gen refresher console. That’s just me.
i appreciate your input ! and it definitely makes sense ! but at the time with the scarcity of decently priced consoles it was a welcomed option for me. I do think its time for an upgrade in the near future. What would you recommend ?
@@twoBitTech just speaking for myself again, I would be alright being patient it’s not like I didn’t have a One S to hold me over. Also I think Xbox should’ve took a page out of Sony’s book and one up them by launching the Series X the Series XAD and the 512 GB Series S and made their Mid Gen refresh with the 2TB Series X and the 1TB Series S both White and Carbon and who knows maybe a 2TB Series XAD.

That is weird. The only game i have issues with is Fallout 4, aside from that nothing is lagging or bad. Though an upgrade sounds good too.
