But few even thought to mention Ice T, Ice Cube, E-40, Warren G, Cypress Hill, Too Short, Warren G, Kurupt, Souls of Mischief, Ras Kass, DJ Quik, Compton's Most Wanted, The D.O.C and The Pharcyde. You are not better then anyone else for knowing older hip-hop artists, songs or albums. Its completely valid to have Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Tyler, The Creator or any of the other newer artists as your favorites. Kendrick is in my personal top 5, and i always thought Schoolboy Q was underrated as all hell. People like what they like and nobody should look down on others for it, instead we should share the music we like with each other and listen to it with a open mind you may find your new favorite artist that way.
