The new MirageGaogamon is a fantastic, powerful card. However, it alone can't change the reality that the Gaoga line has been relatively unsupported compared to other decks/lines we have. The BT-04 line doesn't pull enough weight for a completely tribal build, especially with DigiBurst having become a forgotten mechanic. So I'm really looking forward to getting a new line that works better with this BT-11 support AND Burst Mode when we eventually get our Savers set. Cos from playtesting, the deck is pretty fun to pilot and I can feel its potential. It just needs a bit more of a push like the Sakuyamon deck when it first dropped in EX-02. In particular, I think it needs more set up cards that can play Blue Tamers (or just Niko or Thomas) for free while evolving up. For now, competitive ways to run the deck would be to compensate with other Blue engines like Blue Flare or Leomon while planting MirageGaoga as your Lv.6 boss. What about new Machinedra? LORD. It is so refreshing to be able to evolve up with a Black base, not having to throw Memory at your opponent just to get your boss out. And to be fair, this matchup is a perfect representation of how Black is supposed to be effective against Blue. MirageGaoga wants to chip in multiple low-power attacks on Jamming, Machinedra says no and once at Chaosdra, has bounce resistance as well. So this was definitely not a fun matchup for Gaoga. Analogman is great, guaranteeing you 2 Memory for Heavy Mobile plays into EX-01 Machinedra while helping to shut down the opponent's offence, especially in situations like this match where you don't get Blocker on Machine/Chaosdra. However, I do agree the 4 cost can be quite clunky. But considering how he can be converted into a free Machinedra, I suppose it is fair in a sense.
I agree on your points, its just so sad seeing my boy gaoga struggle to be relevant (worst part is burst mode needs to be insanely good, or maybe get more of a line, to compete with shinegrey burst and ruin mode as well as all the different existing support rosemon and green suspension there is)
BT11 Panjyamon can drop Tamers for free, but the problem is that it's Green so it basically stops there for the deck. You could add Panjyamon X to make it Blue again, but that's using a lot of level 5 slots. The BT12 Ranamon that was just revealed gives a small possibility for the BT4 Gaomon line. It can tuck a level 3 underneath one of your blue Digimon, allowing you to use Digi-Burst more liberally as BT4 Gaomon will recycle itself. Unfortunately the Digi-Burst effects are still fairly weak (Draw 1 or bounce a level 4 or lower), but it is an option.

I dont think the draws from digivolving counts as adding a card via effect since drawing after digivolving is more like a rule of the game rather than the effect of a card. Drawing from an option card, returning to hand, drawing from a digimons draw effect i think are more what covers the gao's mechanic. Example if the on search effect of BT11 Machindra had added Analogman to hand then that i think would haev done it

What a great day. Machindramon wins. we finnaly got gumdramon line. Alot of AA shown for the royal whatever. Digimon next order is confirmd to be realising in the nintendo concol. And got more new digimon survive cards with the first floramon and kunemon that have effects.
I would've liked the ending to be Gaoga unsuspend and block only to have the BT11 Machinedramon play the EX1 Machinedramon and gain unnecessary memory and blitz for game lol
Thats not possible. When BT11 Machinedra is deleted by the block and EX1 is played, that is all resolved "during the attack" so EX1 will not be allowed to declare a new attack with . This has been addressed by Bandai in official rule enquiries
A true shame MirageGaogamon got beat so easy; though sadly not surprising giving just how good Machinedramon is. Here's hoping Bagra Army can pull off a win next match. If just 3 of the 6 decks I was rooting for make it to the 2nd round, I'll be happy. But much like Gaogamon, they are going up against a top contender, and may have their work cut out for them.
