Wasn’t that impressed on first listen.. then found myself singing it to myself.. had a few more listens.. now its one of their better tracks 😅 love manics
Really enjoyed this performance. Shout out to the killer keys work of Nick Naysmyth. As for the "fans" stating they should stop - why dont you listen to something else and let those of us who genuinely love the Manics and still do enjoy what they produce? No one is forcing you to listen or watch.
Naysmyth and Warren brings a complete sound to the trio now. And Thats right. You cannot be wearing fatigues and churning out Die In The Summertime for every single year. I love the Manics for what they were and what they are now. You guys aged gracefully and keep on making great music. Thank you. From a fan of over 30 years.
I don't think they should STOP. But the new singles sound like they could have come from either of the last two albums. They've never done three albums _in a row_ that all sound the same before. It's just a bit disappointing. So I hope the new album is a bit more varied. And not Resistance is Futile part 3.... There's nothing wrong with the last two albums. They're just a bit safe and I am missing the edgy MSP.
@@DavidOakesMusicThere's only so many times you can re-invent the wheel. I'm sure if they did something crazy different people (not necessarily you) would be complaining about THAT too.
Guys pls leave these soft songs to some boys pop band. Play real rockenroll, return to punk and hard core roots. I know that youre mature, but Deep purple are also and they issued in 2024 such a great hard rock album.
@@Linesider1 Interesting! This is the first time I noticed, but of course I wasn't watching every video in the last years and I haven't seen them live for a long time.
JDB is such a legend ❤️🔥

Heard this for the first time at Ally Pally on the Manics tour in July. Instantly loved it, even after all these years the Manics have still got it
I was there too but it wasn't on the setlist. Did they do it during soundcheck?
The most important thing is after years they still enjoy and are happy together while making and playing..And still rocks.
Almost sounded like the old Roland CR78 intro to Enola Gay at the very start..... I'll have to go back and listen to it again to make sure, LOLZ.
yep think your right there
Absolute tune! Again, the boys deliver 🏴
That build up before the final chorus, very Autumn Song!

@@Xirsuyxagree fully. I've been a fan for nearly 25 years, I first got into the Manics when I was about nine so I've literally grown up with them.

Great song great performance,it's even better live.Love from Greece.
Nicky’s smile throughout this ❤️❤️❤️
Piel de gallina, Legends, returns!!
Chiar ne-au surprins frumos!
That Petrol Emotion sample at the very start (Creeping to the Cross)
Yeah! I heard that and had to rewind to make sure I hadn't imagined it
And OMD?
Can't wait to hear this live ❤
i just love them - they're still so grounded. Like the college band i wish we could have been :)
No auto facking tune needed here. Still absolutely great.
Love this song!!!!! Well done!
Best song they’ve released in a while, excited for the new album 🔥
Wow awesome I love the sound all the from 🇨🇦
So Beautiful and so Wonderful, for me a Little bit of The Beatles and John Lennon. But that's super good.🥰🥰❤👍👍👍
Ohhh yes
Dad trainers killing it in 2024... love the Manics !!!!
Qué belleza de canción, qué belleza de letra! Para que nunca mueran las utopías, "la revolución es un sueño eterno".
Sempre a bombar!!!
Love, Manic!
Best ones!
Saw them at Austin City Limits with Suede. What a show.
Brilliant ❤🎉
Best song of the two. That guitar 🎸.
Pure class
I’m always ready to sing along and cry if MSP played songs with what they are now
TUNE 💥🇬🇧. 3 DAYS OLD AND THIS IS FIRST TIME IVE HEARD TUNE ! 🤬
GBLESS MANICS😊
Yakkida 👏🫡✊️😁
Legends!
Very good,muy buena
Great catchy melancholic/but upbeat number.
That build up near the end... damn! They have done it again!

Great tune! Love it! Seeya in April🫡🎸🎸
I would like ear from you a Beatles cover! Would you?
anthemic
😉👍
Brilliant.
Nice music
What happened to Jools Holland's studio?
I also hate the vibe (or rather lack of) of this tasteless theatre. It reminds me of a heavily relic-ed guitar or something.
Moved out of Television Centre, then to Ashford in Kent and then moved out of there to Alexandra Palace.
@stevem-h3562 😦
like it better live.
Wonder where they're from ...
The Manics are like a fine wine. Each song gets better and better. Bravo from Milwaukee, WISCONSIN
Australia?
I really hope this album is more like Postcards From A Young Man and less like the last two albums.
Or maybe even the 2 albums before that one, fingers crossed!
I really wish the studio version had this guitar sound. I absolutely love the manics but decline and fall is really poor but it sounds great live
Love this band ,till the end
absolute tune & good to see them back
Who is the extra guitarist who also played bass on Hiding In Plain Sight?
Wayne Murray , rhythm guitar 🎸
He ads some extra oomph!
This show used to be exciting delivering bands and sounds, now it is just an upgraded version of Top of The Pops… such a shame.

They can’t, when Richie went missing so did that spirit. Downhill since
Is that their original drummer?
yes, shaved his head and grew a beard but it's still Sean
@@Gerrcinn i thought it was by the way he plays but he looks so different lol

Cannot wait for new album
I can.
Music sounds like a game show intro.
Perhaps Game Show experts should stick to Game Shows. Is a wise person who knows their limitations
Anyone noticed the pedalboard on stage? JDB finally controlling his pedals himself. This is new, right?
Yes someone else used to do it but he's been doing this for quite a while now (maybe since Wayne Murray started supporting in around 2007?).

Ah manic street preachers, the lard years.
Boring now
Time they called it a day. The edge has gone. Been a fan for many years...seen them 17 times.
What edge? I’ve never considered them an edgy band. Since you’ve seen them 17 times and actually know them, what was I missing?

Tit.
Why would you want an artist you're a fan of to stop writing?

Its impressive to make a custom les paul sound that bad.

In what respect? Yes, he's not the most technical drummer but he plays for the song and serves it well.
