Why did Enterprise not smack into that oncoming asteroid??? Doesnt make sense. They wouldve never had enought time to fire and evade it, if they are traveling at warp in direct path of it.
They have sensor ranges that are exceptionally long. It is routine for ships at warp to get sensor and visual feed when both targets are far enough apart to require FTL travel.
Plus it's likely that the asteroid itself was caught in the wormhole and moving at an incredibly fast speed. Another thing to note. The amount of time that elapsed to arm and fire the Photon Torpedoes was just a few seconds. Time was moving VERY slow in the wormhole as seen in this very video. While still not as rapid as Turbolasers, it certainly wasn't slow lol.
