This is a pretty informative video for American women to watch. Also, what did you think about my suggestion for a video? Who knows? Some Passport Bros might want a Filipina on the strong or "tomboyish" side. (See one of my comments on one of your previous videos to see what I mean)

If you convert to another religion because you are in love doesn’t that mean that you were not very invested in that religion to begin with? Today I believe Jesus was the son of God but tomorrow I believe in the many Gods of Shintoism because I am in love. What if you break up with that person, do you return to your previous religion or stay with your current one? It doesn’t seem like religions could be interchangeable if they’re contradictory on large issues. If my belief says yours is a lie and yours says the same about mine they can’t both be true.

Passport Bros are from all races & cultures. I am 61 and found a beautiful, widowed Filipina aged 53. Just one site has tens of thousands of Filipina women of all ages looking to marry a foreign man. Many have degrees and are well educated. My lady has 2 degrees & now lives with me in Australia. She has 2 adult children and weighs 59kg (130 pounds). We belong to a Filipina church in our local area. All the adult women are Filipina who are married to Australian men. All of the Australian men in the church are divorced from Australian women. All of these men have lost their wealth and their children through the family court system. These Filipina women have given these Australian men a second chance at life, and in some cases given these men children who are raised to respect their father. The contrast is unbelievable.
Another funny story. Early in our relationship I asked her what she understood about feminism. She said that she had heard the word but did not know what it meant. When I explained the effects of feminism in the West, her first response was that she now understood why there were so many foreign men in her country looking for a wife.

Not everyone realizes how important this video is from the point of view of cultural studies. These conversations of Filipino ladies should be watched by students of various humanities, oriental studies, etc., because they allow you to understand the moral and cultural norms of contemporary Philippines and the way of thinking of Filipino women. This video also documents the differences between American-centric and Filipino thinking, and opens people up to understanding other perspectives. Watching this, Westerners have the opportunity to analyze and reflect on the social changes that have taken place over the last 70 years. Finally, this video, if it remains on the Internet forever, will be of great historical value in the future. Conversations like this are very uplifting, educational, and intellectually stimulating, and it's something people should watch instead of mind-numbing TikTok videos.

Filipinas , You just gotta love them. Impressive how mature they are. Their parents must love them much since they have healthy values. All respect for their parents. I take my hat off for healthy parenthood of their children to grow up with healthy values.

    • @MakaiIELTS
      @MakaiIELTS 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Agree. I believe healthy parenting is the key to this. Most parents here in PH don't allow their kids to be outside after 9 or 10pm, unless they're with family members or very trusted friends. in the province, it's even earlier. The unspoken rule about curfew is very alive here.
filipino fathers are generally strict not allowing their kids to have boyfriends until they finish their studies. Girls can't bring their boyfriends in their bedroom, only in the living room where everyone can see them.

A traditional woman’s place is not under a man’s feet, but under his wing, by his side. A traditional man is a stable and wholesome man, who follows traditions and is always a gentleman in every situation. Neither should be controlling of the other but love and support each other creating a better life together. I retired when I was forty so I invest my time in helping my Thai wife with daily household chores like cooking, cleaning, yard work, and family matters. We can afford to travel when wanted enjoying life together. When my wife sister lost her house to a storm we built them a better home. When her brother past away without having money we paid for him to have a nice funeral. We both help family, friends, and the community the best we can without expecting anything in return. The smallest acts of kindness can create the biggest impact. I think this the is true essence of a traditional man and woman just be kind helping when you can. This is just my personnel opinion which varies with each person. Just be happy living life the best you can. I wish you all a Happy New Year.

Our society has pushed these values so far away from us that we are skeptical and keep looking for the "catch". For some reason this video put in my mind the American culture of the 1950's when this was all the norm, so why can't it still be real? A few thoughts (married 47 years) A relationship is continuous hard work physically, emotionally and morally and mentally . How we thought (non atheist and non church goers but 2 pure dedicated people). 1). Be honest with yourself about who you are and what will work with your beliefs. 2. Look for an honest partner that you feel will fit with you (and don’t rush into anything (including bed). 3. Once you share honesty you will have trust grow in each other. 4). As trust grows in each other, you will start growing faith in each other. Having faith in someone encompasses trust and honesty and faith (a relationship foundation ) . 5. Loyalty to each other is the next door to open (and can be a serious lead to the next one) . 6). Commitment…guided by kindness, caring, sharing with forgiveness. Hope is in everyone’s ❤….Westerners are not necessarily all rich nor well intentioned ! God Bless everyone in the future (odd statement from a guy who seldom had attended church….but it only needs 2 to form a church!!

really all I'm looking for in a woman is honesty, respect, love, and loyalty. There was a saying that a friend told me that changed my way of thinking. He said marriage is 100/100. if it's 50/50 where is the other 50/50 going? That is something I practice whole heartedly.

    • @vulpesvulpes5177
      @vulpesvulpes5177 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Having problems with your fractions again? Let me help. I’ve been married for 52 years. Honestly not always happy, but committed. The fractional expression is how much you put in over how much you get out.
So many people say 50/50 is “fair”, whatever the hell that is? What works is to go into it expecting to give 60% and get 40% in return. If both do that nobody gets disappointed. Because “things” usually work out 50/50. So there is some slack and you both feel like you got a “deal”. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
      Fox out.

50 + 50 = 100, you don't get it? 100% of the laundry means the man does 50% and the woman does 50% fifty fifty, not 90/10 however there are reparations and agreements to be made, "OK, I do all the car work, all the lawn maintenance house maintenance so forth", you cook, clean, and do the laundry... what if only the man works and the woman brings in no money at all? fifty fifty.. I'm sure the woman can think of ways to make up for not bringing in any money into the household, lest she should be able to... :-) ...

Fascinating talk! I think when a lot of people talk about 'religion;, they actually only mean the three Abrahamic faiths, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Sometimes, Christians will talk of other 'religions' and they just mean other schools of christianity? Hope you're having the most wonderful time lovely Pea! 🥰❤

$50,000 for a ring is an absolute joke. When I went and met my wife in the Manila. We went together to pick out an engagement ring of course the people behind the counter immediately offered me a ring for 40,000 pesos. But my wife actually chose a ring that was only $35. When I went back to the US I bought us both rings. Hers was $1000 which at Christmas time was marked down 50% and mine was a $200 plain wedding band that was only 200 mark down 50% so we literally only had to spend a little over 600 bucks for our wedding rings she did not want agatti ugly huge diamond on a huge ring because she having had lived in tondo all her life didn't want to wear something gaudy that would attract attention. Her band was $500 and had a series of six small diamonds in it which still people would stare at when we were on the ferry. I would expect that most Filipino women would want just what I want which is loyalty and to take care of each other just like you would want to be taken care of. I went to the Philippines for exactly the reason that I couldn't find any loyal women in America..... Filipino women are so refreshing and reasonable in their psychology. When I told my wife and her family and friends about my previous love interests and they're psychotic episodes they could hardly believe it. They would say Oh yes they sound like they're quite psychotic

    Hello Pea,
I have learned that ALL Religions are corrupt to some degree.
I AM a Christian but I don't attend the gatherings of any organized religions.
I AM a 69 year old Canadian male and am very Spiritual, God is a part of every human's heart and soul. We can all talk directly to God and Jesus Christ any day/night, anywhere, anytime and we don't need a building (church) or a Priest/Minister or Rabbi to talk with our Creator.
I have travelled to the Philippines' and love the people, culture, climate, affordability and the ladies there. I have friends from the Subic Bay area. I work with and respect very many Canadian (Filipinos' and Filipinas').
I watch your very informative, real, humorous shows and love the approach that you take to deliver your clear much needed messages.
Keep up the great work. I'll be watching.

I did enjoy their responses, and the reasoning behind their logic. Whenever I got with my partner, I told her everything and what happened exactly. I wasn't always the best individual, and I owned up to my problems. Thankfully I got everything under control, and I turned my life around for the better. She told me about her past and I made sure to not do certain things, because of the way it makes her feel.
I think both people need to have a sit down and talk the issues before considering whether or not this the person for them.

Lovely line of questioning and honest answers. 1. Prenup-It is not a matter of Trust but for self preservation if things turn sour if it is the fault of the lady. If true selfless love as mentioned by the ladies are there,I would like to believe any guy would ensure she is well taken care off even if they need to be parted eventually. 2. God/Atheist- Does it really matter in the macro level if the man is level-headed,caring and full of love than a Sunday Christian or whatever his religion is but not really a good person.Anyway I believe positive energy attracts positive people. All the best ladies. Cheers

Even though several women in my area recently told me I am good looking [for my age?] I still think she deserves better than I, but if she really wants to marry me I'll do my best to make her and her mini-me happy. Most pinays seem to be very decent women, but all I care about is the Angel I've found. 😀

Often what we seek and the criteria we have is jettisoned when Cupid strikes. We overlook certain flaws and sometimes those flaws come back to bite us. When you're in 'love', you really don't know the person who's the object of your affection. Eventually long-term dating and/or marriage reveals the true person behind door numero tres. You can hit the lottery, or the taxes are just too high and eventually you have to close the door and move on. These women are young and perhaps haven't had that first real tough heart wrenching disappointment, but I wish them only the best. They are all unicorns, but unicorns are elusive. Sometimes what you see is what you get, but sometimes what you see and get is just an illusion. Great interview as usual, Pea. Hmmmm. What does Pea want? Inquiring minds want to know.

Candace: You are right with "We all have the same God". Like we have the same sun and the same moon, we breathe the same air. We live in the same universe and all this comes from the same source. God is one, like Love is one. Also, the way towards God is pretty much the same in all religions. But for people with no deeper understanding it seems to be different. It is not the belief of a God which brings you closer to Him, but the way you are and live. The religious belief is only to inspire you to change yourself so you become open to His grace.

"Why would you marry me if you had to ask me to sign a pre-nup?" Because people can change, things can go wrong in a relationship, and people can become angry with each other and separate. All too often anger turns to hate, and hateful people do hateful things, including trying to ruin other people's lives. Taking half of everything a person has ever earned is just about as hateful as you can get (short of physical violence). I've seen friends whose wives came into the relationship with nothing, contributed as little as possible to the household, then walked away with half of EVERYTHING (even things he had before they met). That is a crime in my opinion.
Overall and interesting interview, Pea. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Watching their faces when you played the video in the beginning made me laugh 😂
Alaso, if you get married in the Philipphines where divorce isn't an option, prenup is less important I think.
When it comes to what a man want, maybe a traditional filipina comes close, at least on my list. Loyalty, honesty and caring is on top of that list. That need to work both ways, and when it does, love comes as a result of that. Without those, love is difficult.
Religion could be difficult. But the idea that we all have the same God is interesting, simply because most religions have developed from the old panteism, where God is in everything. Most of them translated into what we now name as "Mother earth". Even believers in the "Big bang" admit that there has to be something that started it. What did it, we might never be able to prove, and until then, there will be different "explanations". Hearing Ange say that sometimes she don't believe was refreshing. I think that is the most honest reaction.
We learn something every time we watch your videos! Thank you again.
