Today’s shadowing is “I hope…(for you)”. You can use the present tense short form + 「~といいですね・~といいね」to wish something good will happen for someone.
「~といいですね」is the polite form and「~といいね」is the casual form.
When the verb is under control, use the potential form. For instance, if you are talking to your friend who is looking for a new job, you can say “早く転職できるといいね。”. The verb is in the potential form because changing jobs is controllable by the person’s efforts.
