This little guy/girl did so good and was so brave! Thank you everyone who helped in the rescue, renesting and taking care of things so quickly!
Thank you to everybody that made this rescue possible. Dr Sharpe, Navy and Nicole and IWS
Agree 👍
That was certainly one of the most precious things I've ever seen.
There’s a special place in Heaven for people who rescue eaglets!
Absolutely!
What a wonderful rescue! Some ppl say renesting would do harm to the eaglets and the parents would abandon the nest - this is one of the many examples that proved it wrong. Thinking of Meadow 😢
🥰🦅. Is that the cutest thing ever?!? Thanks to all.
Thank YOU W of W ❤The Little rescued eaglet was fed by dad , shared beakies with nest mate . She ( he ) is now using dad’s tail feathers as an awning & getting some much needed rest .
I’m thrilled and thankful to all who made this happen
I am so happy and grateful to hear this! Ecstatic that baby was re nested and nest was reinforced! Thank you to everyone that helped in this rescue! Ya'll are Awesome!
"What are you doing to my sibling, get out or else? we can take you all"🤣🤣. Thank you for the rescue.
So cute when they try to get all intimidating looking at such a young age, right? 🤣
💕
Thank you to everyone that helped our little eaglet. Thank you for reinforcing the nest.
Wonderful to have humans help nature!
What a fiesty baby! Wish we could hear what it was saying. Love that they reinforced the nest. And how both babies zonked out as soon as she was out of sight.
Best video yet. Kudos to those rescuer heroes and their straight ladder!!
Right doing alot of talking
I was thinking the same. Feisty eaglet! Feisty is good! The adrenaline was flowing for sure. All's well that ends well. ❤
An absolutely fantastic thing to witness, for sure!
Thats how you do it !! Wish more nest's had this kind of response !! Great work !!😊
Yes! This & the rescue at Kisatchie National Forest earlier in the season were impeccably handled.
Thank you to everyone involved in this wonderful rescue.
This nest, Bald Canyon Eagle nest is on San Clemente Island in the Channel Islands California. It is owned by the Navy. They allowed Institute of Wildlife Study to put up a camera. No microphone allowed so there is a taped loop of sounds provided by IWS. Dr. Peter Sharpe returned from retirement to once again head the IWS. Dr. Sharpe is a legend. Help in the Return of the eagles in the Channel Islands restoration. He has performed many rescues on the nests of the Islands. One at BC last year when they had three eaglets. I have watched him rescue one eaglet on Two Harbors Catalina and one at WestEnd Catalina. Side note WestEnd has three eaglets, again, this year❤
Dr. Sharpe = Eagles' best friend.
I love love watching them stand w wide wings- soo adorable! Thanks for rescuing this little guy!!!
I’m so thrilled to for the people who were willing to help this baby and get it back up to the nest and I do hope that mommy and daddy were there to feed. God bless the humans for helping safe the baby from possible more danger.👏🏻👏🏻❤️🙏😘🦅. My prayers were answered and I knew it could be done too. Also, thank you rescuers too for reenforcing the nest too for the families protection too. Hugs love and many blessings to you all and this Eagle family too. Sue M. Florida 🙏❤️👏🏻👏🏻🥰🦅😘🌸🥳🎊👍🏻❌⭕️
Beautiful!! They got there a bit earlier than I expected!!
This is the best news! So grateful to all involved. Maybe after these eaglets have fledged and leave, thid nest can be reinforced better.
OMG that lil eaglet looked sooo happy for the rescue....nice job & hearty rails too = thx Whimsy!!!!
Thank you to all rescuers concerned. The eaglet didn't seem to appreciate being rescued though. Looked like he wanted to take chicks out of her
I'm in love with the background music the birds are singing and it echoes in the corner of the forest, very soothing and calming music ❤🦅🤗
So sweet ❤ Thank you to all that helped.
Thank you all for helping them❤
Gracias por su labor !!💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻❤
Tysvm for the wonderful update and everyone involved to rescue and return this baby home safely and to add better rails to the nest ❤🤗

How awesome and glad the eaglet went back to the nest! Thank you everyone involved in saving the little one! ❤
Oh wow! My heart is so happy and thankful for these wonderful people❤
She’s chatting at the woman the entire time saying mom and dad bring sticks not you.😂😂
That’s great❤
That nest needed fixing to
many holes in the branching.
YAY! Great rescue and much needed on the nestorations 💪💪 Thank you so much for helping this eaglet get home 🙏
You guys are HEROS! Thank you so much . This brought tears to my eyes
Děkuji jste úžasní ❤❤❤❤
Great job! Let's try to keep them safe! 👍
Yay!!! I love e a happy ending!!😅
God Bless you for all you did for these eagles.
Thank You & WELL DONE!!! ❤
Wow! Awesome! What a great rescuer! Climbs trees, performs a medical evaluation and nest building. So talented! QUESTION: Why don't the adult eagles attack? You don't even hear them complaining.
The parents just about always stay nearby, watching, during rescue/banding missions. They have just enough healthy fear of humans to take off, but they tend to keep a close eye. I have no doubt that some would/could/have choose to attack though, which is one of the reasons why these missions are risky.
Lucky to be alive. Eaglets with flight feathers have died from a fall. We'll done ❤ 🦅
Thank you for that
Thank you so much for saving the Eaglets life & reinforcing the nest 🪹!
Perfect...💯💗 thank you to all involved!!🫶
Sharon Shneyer, Thank you for this uplifting video. Since I don't watch this Cam regularly, Wings, am I assuming correctly that there are 2 eaglets at this nest?
PS. I have seen renesting before.(Okay, I saw the 2nd one in the back)
What a rewarding job! Looked like the chick tried to bonk the rescuer a few times! 🤣 thank you for rescuing the chick!
Thank you! 🙏🏼 😊❤
👏👏👏🫶❤️🐥😊Thank you
OMG thank u so much god blessing all of u ❤👏💪🙏
Since this is a repeat event, and it’s for our national bird, I think the military should pre-vet a specific team to be allowed in to rescue fallen eaglets - it’s an idea worth consideration, to make these babies wait a lot less time when medical help may be needed.
Fantastic!! Well done! ❤
❤🙏❤
Thank you for video ❤
Wonderful. S/he looked good. Thank you WoW!
Oh this really warmed my heart. I absolutely love this. That rescued eaglet is quite feisty! I did have a question, why do the eaglets put their heads down like that after the humans left?
I have no idea! Perhaps a silent relief moment?
Thank you for requesting. I was hoping you would give them a snack.❤
That would be impossible 😂
Dad came in swiftly with a fish, so our little fallen eaglet was rewarded well after his/her adventure. :)
Big 🐥
❤❤
Excellent!
Thanks for posting. That was amazing. Do you know when it fell out of the nest? What was the cause? and how long it was on the ground?
Details are sketchy. The cams at this location basically go down at night & come up after they've had to time to power up from solar charge. When they came up the morning before the rescue, the eaglet was in that position & spot, so what took place wasn't actually witnessed. Most likely a simple misstep or something similar. S/he never did hit the ground - It remained in a sort of "pit" of branches just alongside the nest for probably a bit over 24 hours total.
@@WingsOfWhimsy thank you!
❤❤❤❤
I wonder why they both bow their heads in unison at 11:03?
Have you seen mom or dad yet
Yep - parent already returned to the nest & little champ is resting. Last I checked, it hadn't eaten yet - but if not eating already, I'm sure food will be brought in very soon.
Amazing eagle parents, 👏 😍 for sure 😊
❤🎉
🥰👍❤️
10:55 Nap time.
Thank u... ❤❤❤❤
